Povoa de Varzim is a Portuguese city of Porto District,

Situated on a sandy coastal plain, south of Cape Santo André, halfway between the Minho and Douro rivers, it is populated by 42,396 inhabitants in the urban area, a total of 63,408 inhabitants in the municipality, according to the 2011 census. Although the urbanized portion is extended south to Vila do Conde, with about 100 000 inhabitants in the urban agglomeration. The city also stands out, according to the National Statistics Institute, as centrality of the neighboring counties of Vila do Conde and Esposende configuring itself as one of the poles of the North.

The first people settled on its territory from four to six thousand years ago. Around 900 a. C., the instability in the region led to the foundation of a fortified city. The sea has always had primacy in its culture and economy, primarily through maritime trade, then with fishing, leading to acquire one charter in 1308 and thus became the main northern fishing port of Portugal in the eighteenth century . [2] The high iodine content in their waters and long sandy lead still in the century, to become an eminent beach center.

City of contemporary feature and the oldest neighborhoods, Póvoa de Varzim enjoys a rich fishing cooking and keeps old traditions, such as acronyms or poveiras dough mixers. It is one of the few areas of legal gambling in Portugal and has significant textile and food industries.

Excelente localização, bem decorado e novo

Bonito apartamento em frente à praia e numa zona tranquila. É ideal para quem quer fazer praia ou estar junto ao mar. É só atravessar a estrada e está na praia.Está exatamente igual às fotos publicadas no anúncio, novo e muito bem decorado com tudo o que é necessário. É magnifico para quem tem crianças, pois além das qualidades que já enumerei está junto a uma enorme área de lazer, com parque, onde fizemos passeios a pé e de bicicleta sempre junto ao mar e onde brincamos com os nossos filhos. A proprietária é uma simpatia e recebeu-nos com um delicioso lanche e flores naturais bem lindas. Foi uma experiencia fantastica e a repetir, já que foi a primeira vez que fomos para um apartamento e estavamos receosos. Passamos uns dias muito bons. Recomendo!

Apartamento charmoso com excelente localização

Foram 6 dias mas deveriam ter sido pelo menos 60! Os meus pais tem da casa dos 60anos e adoraram os dias que passamos neste apartamento na Póvoa. É muito bonito, novo, muito bem situado em frente à praia, muito bem decorado e com maquina de lavar loiça e roupa, que nem sempre se encontram nos apartamentos de aluguer. Tem estacionamento e é muito calmo. Gostamos também muito da zona envolvente e das pastelarias e frutarias, sempre com produtos muito frescos. É uma excelente opção para quem gosta de praia e de conforto. Agradecidos à Ana.

Mon mari et moi nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce très bel appartement situé sur le front de plage.

Propriétaire très sympathique. Elle nous a reçus avec une grande affection et une collation magnifique avec de délicieuses saveurs typiques.

L'appartement est 100% rénové, complètement nouveau.

Il est situé à proximité de tout.

We loved our stay

I start by thanking Anna for all your kindness and caring.

Thank you for the times when you come join us to snack.

Thank you for the wonderful cakes.

We spent 45 wonderful days in this apartment.

It is a very beautiful apartment.

It is new and everything inside is new and shining.

In the morning, we worshiped wing windows open and breathe that sea breeze.

It is situated on the seafront and next to bakeries, pastry shops, mini markets, restaurants, bank, near the hospital.

In front of the apartment has a seafront promenade with over 10 miles (16 Km), where we can do wonderful walks through the beautiful Casino da Póvoa.

It is a perfect accommodation.

Wonderful apartment beach

Apartment very nice and very welcoming. It is situated on the beachfront. The beach is wonderful! The location of the apartment is very quiet and is housed in a nearby area of rural and fishing.

It is very well located, close to restaurants, bakeries, bars, supermarkets, bank. We spent a week in the apartment and we do not use the car. It was wonderful!

Special thanks to Ana, the welcoming reception on our arrival. It's a lovely person.
