What a great apartment! This is a great flat, newly renovated, spacious and clean. We were a family of four visiting Rome for New Year and this was a great bolt-hole for visiting all the main attractions in the Eternal City. It is located on the third floor of a large but quiet apartment block a short 10-15 minute walk from the nearest Metro stop San Giovanni. Buses to the Colosseum, centro storico and Termini were right outside too. It's well equipped with two large bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a shower, one with a bath. It has a small but perfectly furnished, newly updated kitchen with oven, large hob, fridge and dishwasher. All bedding and towels were provided. Mara, the owner, is the perfect host! She was there to meet us on arrival with coffee, fruit, milk and all the local bus and train information we needed. She was really welcoming and friendly and nothing we asked was too much trouble. I would recommend Casa Mariuccia wholeheartedly.
Mara is very honest and helpful. The apartment is as described and is very cute and pleasant. There was plenty of room for our group of 3 adults. I could see it fitting well for a family of 4 as well. The apt is convenient off if the bus line, so will make travel into the city easy. I would stay again :-)
Mara - I hope all turned out well for you and the apartment
My friend and I took a "girls trip" to Italy and stayed at Mara's apartment...and it was perfect! The apartment itself is incredible with a comfortable master bedroom with a bathroom in the bedroom, then a second bedroom with an even larger bathroom in the hall, so we had our own bathrooms...so rare in Europe! The beds were comfy, the apartment was so clean, and we had everything we needed!
Mara was so super! She met us at the apartment, showed us in, and even made us a small personalized notebook of places to go, restaurants, directions, buses (there is a stop right next to the apartment), and more! She was available by phone or email the entire trip and was such a pleasure to work with.
The apartment neighborhood was fun with everything we needed: ATMs, convenience stores, restaurants, etc.
I would recommend this to everyone: couples, families, friends.
Thank you, Mara!! You made our trip so relaxing!
"Mara is amazing woman.
She helped us in all our questions.
She told us about the Rome - where to go, what to see etc ...
It was wonderful trip. And if we come again to Rome we hope we can stay at her apartment.
Unfortunately it was cold in the flat but there was many blankets and how ever we can see in many places in Rome in the winter was cold. )))
May be it was strange for us because in Russia we always (24 hours) use heater if cold outside.
So all was good and we smartly spent time.
Big thanks to Mara!))))))"
It was a pleasant stay in Rome. The appartment was nice and clean.
Mara has given us à lot of information about the town and how to come there.
It is very easy. With one bus you can reach each place in Rome.
The central location makes our apartment is an excellent solution
for the holiday of pleasure or business.
We are steps away from the Basilica of St. John Lateran, which is within walking distance.
Under house there are bus and metro a few stops will take you to
main sites of Rome: the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona.
Termini Station can be reached in 6 bus stops.
Do not forget that you can also walk to Piazza di
Porta Maggiore. Here it is one of the best preserved gates of the Aurelian Wall. It was
2 built incorporating ancient aqueducts begun at the time of Caligula (the ancient Romans were great builders of roads, sewers and water pipes still in use today!) and completed by Claudius.
On the external front is the tomb of the baker And 'a structure of travertine 30 a. c.Fu erected in memory of a baker who became rich by kneading bread for the state!
Go through the walls meet the Basilica of Santa Croce in Jerusalem, which owes its name to the testimonies of the Passion of Christ in fact transported from Jerusalem at the behest of St. Helena, mother of Constantine.
Inside the Basilica are in fact kept: 3 fragments of the Holy
Cross, one of the nails of the crucifixion, a thorn from the Crown and the land of
Golgotha. Inside you can admire the garden of the monastery, the Council: the garden is worth a
stop relaxing ... it is a real Eden!
This is a little taste of 'where is Casa Mariuccia!
No less important is to report the presence behind the house and neighborhood Pigneto San Lorenzo offering a wide choice as restaurants, taverns, wine shops and Cinema. If you love theater then you can
easily get to the Brancaccio Theater and the renovated AmbraJovinelli ..... Look!
