Built just a few years ago Maison Vue Des Iles has the character and appearance of a traditional plantation property. The private drive is gated and the gardens have a fine collection of tropical plants. Behind the house is a wind-cut granite outcrop covered in Bougainvillea. The interior is a real contrast, the decor is a modern take on colonial style, with white walls and sofas softened by wooden floors and furniture, a mezzanine level doesn't obstruct a view upwards 30ft to the rafters. There are huge oil paintings by local artists (including our famous neighbour Raymond Dubuisson) to provide color, none however can compete with the vivid turquoise of the sea that can be seen straight ahead through the folding veranda doors. Stepping through is breathtaking, locals believe there is no more beautiful spot on what is a tropical island paradise. The property has a range cooker, fridge, dishwasher, laundry, hifi and library. Most of your time will be spent outside, either in the ocean or looking at it from the sun deck or veranda.
Welcome to the Seychelles, 'Paradise', 'Islands of Love', 'Lost Garden of Eden' - to name but a few of the names attributed to our beautiful islands, The Seychelles!
Welcome, Bien venue to Maison Vue Des Isles! My husband and I and our team look
forward to receiving your at MVDI and making your stay with us a pleasurable and
I am Claudette Otten née Jean-Louis. Although I am Seychelloise by origin, I was born and raised in Kenya and lived there for twenty-four years. In 1983 I met and married
Jos Otten, a Dutchman and went to live in The Netherlands, where I have been living for
thirty-three years. Jos and I have two sons. My husband and I both love doing nature walks/trails, we love gardening and snorkelling. Jos loves cycling and diving and I love
making stone schulptures.
Maison Vue Des Isles was built in 2008 by our dear friends Simon and Jan Rouse of
The UK. Occasionally, Jos and I would give them a hand back then doing DIY jobs.
My husband and I started running Maison Vue Des Isles as a Holiday Home in August of
2012. We do so with great pleasure. Since Jos' retirement two years ago, we run the
establishment personally part of the year, and the other half of the year it is run by our very capable manager Ryan Savy.
Please be our guest and see for yourselves just how beautiful The Seychelles really is.
I promise you will not be disappointed!
Thank you, and looking forward to seeing you in the very near future!
We stayed in Mason Vue des Iles for 5 nights and it was great. The location is very peaceful and quiet, a great place to revitalise from your stressful job. The view is truly stunning.
The villa contains everything you need.
Claudette, the manager, is the most hospitable woman I have ever met. I really love Praslin and can not wait to come back! Definitely stay here again
Maison Vue Des Isles was the perfect place for us. It was very clean and comfortable. We left the villa only twice to get groceries. Otherwise we were on the veranda enjoying the incredible view or in the ocean snorkeling off the beach finding fish, turtles, octopus, rays. We would highly recommend it for a quiet get away. Thank you for a very relaxing stay at your home.

Maison Vue Des Iles is the place to be if you want a totally private, relaxing holiday with a view from the verandah to die for! My wife and I spent most of our time enjoying the view, which included a stunning little island right in front of the villa, crystal clear water, rolling surf and colors only seen in magazines: glistening white sandy beaches, unbelievably green vegetation and the magical blues of the ocean. Claudette and her team (Ryan and Debbie) made our stay dream-easy, from the beginning of the booking process through to the end of our stay. We were collected at the airport and driven to the villa, the rented car was delivered there, we were shown the property and the normal ins and outs of the various electrical implements (which included dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier) and were helped getting online for our internet addictions. All in all, our weeks' stay there was one of the best breaks of my life and I can recommend this property absolutely wholeheartedly. Thanks so much Claudette - we will cherish these memories forever.
Maison vue des Iles
Living the dream.... My husband and I celebrated my 50th Birthday by visiting the Island of Praslin during the fist two weeks of May 2016, I will never forget the moment I walked into the house after a long journey from the uk, to be offered a fresh orange juice and a fridge cold cloth on arrival from Ryan who had collected us from the airport. The veranda doors were open and the ocean view was breathtaking we couldn't have wished for a better welcome. The house was just how it is described and met my expectations and beyond, our home for the next two weeks invited us to enjoy the sheer beauty that this location and home provides, it was paradise in front of our eyes.
We hired a car for the length of our stay and after a few days of doing very little except enjoying the house and sea on our doorstep, we explored the Island and all it provides. The guide at the house is helpful and Claudette is very quick to reply to any questions that we had.
Maison vue des Iles is a special place of which we hold memories, to treasure forever.
We had a short 6 days vacation and wanted to relax and do some scuba diving with the kids. The choise of this wanderfull villa prooved to be fantastic.
Claudette , the owner was extreamly helpfull in all the arrangements and got us a rental car as well as Rayen who took us from the airport and helped when needed.
The villa is situated at the end of an incredible road, just above the sea shore with islends just in front.
The villa is great and has all the you need for relaxtion and is very comfertable and spacious. We went snorkling everey mornig just in front of the house (with the villa masks and fins) and then went scuba diving later on.
You need a rental car to get around but this makes all the more fun!
Time zipped and we are back home and we miss this villa and the seychelles very much.
Hope to come again to this perfect place again soon...
We have just returned from our stay at Villa Maison Vue Des Iles and we enjoyed every day!
The villa was exactly as described in the internet, and particularly the ocean view was just breathtaking. Not surprisingly we spent a lot of time outdoors and on the spacious veranda.
Thank you, Claudette and Joop, for the warm welcome and your kind hospitality!
Maison Vue Des Iles stands down a private drive shared with one other small guest house and just 12 meters from the Indian Ocean; just below the house down a short flight of Palm-shaded steps lies a small beach.. Immediately off shore is a shallow reef and the tiny island of Ile Malice, there are few better snorkeling spots in all of the Seychelles. The property derives its name from the collection of tropical islands which are the focal point of the stunning view from the balcony and sun deck. Anse La Blague is a quiet village it has a bus stop and a fabulous calm white sand beach protected by a shallow reef. Praslin boasts some of the most incredible beaches on Earth, plus a world heritage site The Valley De Mai once thought to be the original Garden of Eden. There are also excellent diving, snorkeling, hill walking, mountain biking, game-fishing and island hopping opportunities as well as a championship golf course at the 5* Lemuria Hotel. All this and the Creole cuisine is amazing!
