Enjoy fishing, boating, swimming and water sports at this charming lakefront home, or just relax with a breathtaking view of Herrington Lake from the porch swing. The home has 5 Bedrooms (3 down & 2 up), 1 Bath, Living Room, Den and a well-equipped, newly renovated Eat-in Kitchen. Situated on almost one acre, our home provides privacy with excellent lake access. You’ll have your own dock/swim deck with swim ladder. Very convenient to be able to launch and recover your towed boat at the semi-private boat ramp (shared with one neighbor), the ramp also makes a great place to wade out into the lake. Enjoy a camp fire on the point with the lake wrapping around you. Bring your own boat or rent a pontoon through Herrington Marina and they’ll bring it right to your dock. Access to the dock does require crossing over some rocks and irregular terrain, but can be easily managed by most people. 440-227-4780
In 2005, we planned a multi-family vacation at Haddix Point Hideaway through then owners, George & Sharon Haddix. Had so much fun, we came back the following two summers. When George and Sharon decided to sell, they offered it to us because they knew how much we loved the property. We hated to think that, if someone else bought it, they may not rent it out and we'd lose out on our favorite vacation spot! Well, with a lot of luck and some help along the way we were able to swing the purchase. We are happy to be able to share this house with so many families that return each year.
The house is fresh and clean. It has a new large kitchen for lots of guests. Unfortunately we came when the weather was auful but the view of the lake is beautiful. We will definitely come back when the weather is warmer so we can enjoy the lake.
This house is absolutely perfect! It has plenty of space inside and out! Beautiful view of the lake!! The pictures do not give it justice! I will definitely be staying here again!! One word: amazing!!
This is a good family vacation spot with excellent swimming, fishing, kayaking, and boating. This particular spot has so much to offer! I really like this house, because the house is on a grassy slope with easy access to the water. There is a really nice dock for fishing and swimming, and a great boat ramp just down from the house. There is a nice area for a campfire in the evenings that overlooks the water. The yard around the house is very well kept. We put up our badminton net during our stay. The house was also clean, which I really appreciated. Directly across the lake, there is a cove in a “No Wake Zone,” which was perfect for kayaking. This cove is really beautiful! I also enjoyed walking on the road along the lake.
We stayed over a 3 night weekend and really enjoyed our stay! We were a group of 6 and there was plenty of room for all of us. There is even a dock where Hugh can help you rent a boat or they provide you the # to call on the fridge. The pictures don't do this place justice
This location is a great location on the lake. It was the cold season so we did not have the dock right in front of the house but could have used it next door if we would have liked to. The house has plenty of space but if you stay in the winter it does get cold. The owner has amazing space heaters we used but we did not see any other heating source. One more would be nice for the big patio room as that room was the coldest. I stayed in the room with the sliding door and view of the lake. I would recommend the owner invests in a nice slider door in that room because the regular window has small gaps in it allowing cold air to go through it. The kitchen had many supplies and seasonings which was great for staying in on the cold nights. The only other issue I had with the property is the blinds in the bedroom I was in as well as the patio room. They are so worn that I felt like I had to be extra careful when opening them so even more pieces wouldn't fall off. They don't completely close in the guest bedroom so if you don't want light in the room in the morning you need to sleep in an alternate room. I know that with cost effective small changes like this the guests will have a different view of the interior and enjoy their stay even more. The girl I was with was not used to rentals and felt the broken blinds made it feel like the owners don't care to keep the place up. I did not feel this way as I have seen alot of cabin rentals but I want to be honest with the owners as they are sitting on a rental gold mine and could easily get outstanding remarks in all areas. The owners were very nice and available at all times. I would definately stay again, possibly in the summer time so I can enjoy the porch and the dock.
A small group of friends enjoyed our weekend at the house. The setting is beautiful! We enjoyed walking down to the lake in the morning. There is a lot of room in the house to spread out. The kitchen is well-stocked and it's nice that the owner leaves some spices and other items for use. We'd love to come back to spend more time at Haddix Point.

Cancellations made 60 days or longer before your rental
will incur a cancellation fee of $100. Cancellations from 60 days to 30 days
before the rental will incur a cancellation fee of $200. We try to be very
fair, but last minute cancellations are very disruptive. This fee also
applies to longer rentals that are eligible for a full refund as described
below.
Cancellation inside of 30 days or early departure does not warrant any
refund of rent unless the unit is re-rented for that time period. We will
attempt to re-rent as many of your dates as is possible at the last minute at
the best possible rate based on our judgment given how last minute the
cancellation is. Refunds and returns of security deposits will be processed on
cleared funds within 2 weeks of cancellation. If you are concerned about
having to cancel your trip, we suggest that you look into trip insurance that
is available and offered by many reputable firms online and otherwise
