The Olive Villas complex (comprising villa Zerbera, villa Voucamvilia and maisonette Kamelia) is situated in a quiet location offering comfortable accommodation among fantastic nature, ideal for hiking and excursions in the region as well as experiencing the traditional Cretan way of life. It includes spacious bedrooms and living rooms, fireplaces, verandas with marvellous views and barbeque and fully equipped kitchen.
Located in the village of Krya Vrysi, Olive Villas is set amidst fields of olive, orange trees and vineyards. It is a traditional family house that stands on the site of an old olive press which belonged to the owners' family since the beginning of the 20th century. The more modern olive mill which remained functional until the 70's still stands next to the house and the Olive Villas Estate still produces excellent quality extra virgin olive oil (a sample will be provided to all guests).

Any rental really comprises of three things: Property, Location, & Owners.
The restoration of this property is lovely, and the attention to detail delightful. The east facing balconies provide a perfect spot for breakfast, and plentiful shade for the evening. The views over the olive tree covered hills remind you that you are indeed in Crete. Evening walks amongst the groves are a great way to finish the day. The Owners clearly go the extra mile for their guests, the property was spotless on arrival. They met us at the property, despite a late evening arrival. We spent our days out hiking, but the grounds of the property would have provided us a relaxing day should we have stayed.
We are unable to say anything negative, and will certainly use the property again when we return to Crete in the future.
We have had a lovely stay in the beginning of April.
Flowers, sun, good food, nice and adventures walks
and a very nice and clean house for our family of five.
Our children liked the (vegetarian) food of the restaurant in Deliana
2 km further even better than the Italian pizza.
We could swim at beautiful sunny beaches with clear, still a bit cold, water.
Like that one of Falasarna about 40 min far.
Don't forget the remarkable sculpture in Elos and Topolia
We liked the Agia Sofia grot, and the many hikes nearby in the gorges.
Like the unknown Roca gorge which you can reach from the house.
The house Zerbera is really tiptop.
Eleni and Dimitris were very helpful.

Crete is the largest island in Greece. The island offers amazing variety, combining snow-capped mountains, rolling hills covered with olive trees and over 1000 km of varied coastline. Crete has far more endemic plants than any other island in Europe.
Chania has a great history and cultural heritage, partly because it faced many conquerors through time, thus being open to the influences of different civilizations. Chania has many monuments of Byzantine period, Venetian period, Ottoman period and modern History as well as worth-seeing museums, like the Nautical Museum of Crete, the Archaeological Museum of Chania, the house of El. Venizelos, the War Museum of Chania.
The climate of the area is temperate Mediterranean and the temperatures vary at normal levels all year round.
Kolymbari, a quiet village nestling between the Mediterranean sea and majestic green cliffs, 23 km west of Chania, is still relatively unaffected by tourism. Kolymbari is known for its nice sandy beach, a small fishing port, cosy tavernas and cafés as well as several restaurants and a few shops.
The Olive Villas complex is situated at the village of Kria Vrissi, 30km south-west of the city of Chania and 10km from the beach of Kolymbari. Its traditional stone architecture blends seamlessly with the surrounding fields of vines, olive and orange trees and the marvellous view of the area mountains. It is the ideal place for rest during you vacation in Crete.

The house was fully renovated in 2011. Due to its position, it’s ideal for hiking excursions in the surrounding countryside, observing the local village life, or just relaxing while enjoying the sweeping panoramic views. The owners’ links with various cultural organisations in the region make it the perfect starting point for anyone interested in the history of the region, the history of olive cultivation or discovering traditional oil production methods.
