Beautiful, 4 bedroom, 3 bath home located in the Sombrero Area. The split level floor plan provides space and privacy for visitors, while the private pool (heat available with additional charge) and tiki hut create a wonderful atmosphere for entertaining.

Enjoy a relaxing stroll to the pristine Sombrero Beach, just minutes away. With plenty of parking for boat trailers and a deep water canal, you can bring the boat! Both the gulf and ocean are easily accessible, and there are many boat ramps close by.

Sombrero Beach is a beautiful and newly renovated beach that will make you feel like you are at a 5 star resort. You could walk or bike ride to this sandy paradise, since it conveniently located less than a mile away. Overall, this small town is perfect for all ages, and a great place to vacation.

Location, location, location… The direct access to the water is ideal for fishing, trips to the sandbar, or even great for evening boat rides to a few local restaurants where you can dock and dine! Marathon in general is an ideal location for a Keys vacation. Located directly in the middle nothing seems to be too far away. Spend a night on Duvall, watching the sunset at Mallory Square in Key West, go mini-golf at boondocks, or go bowling just 45 minutes away.

Great Spot for Fun & Relaxation

The property was as advertised (Awesome). It's a large house that can accommodate a good size group. The pool and tiki hut were awesome for lounging and enjoying all Florida has to offer. The location is great with access to grocery, dining, entertainment etc. We were able to dock two (+/- 25') boats with no issues.

Also, our party failed to gather all of our items when leaving. The owner was very kind and offered to send us the contents. Which we received three days later at no cost.

All in all a great place to spend time in the keys. While the house is a little older, you would be hard pressed to find a better spot given the price and location.

Just finished a week at this property. We visit Marathon at least once a year and always rent a home. We were disappointed in this property. We had to go out and by toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher detergent and wash cloths (there was only 1 cloth in each of the 3 bathrooms along long with only 1 or 2 towels each) which we left behind for the next guest. The furniture in the upstairs living area was very worn. The home appears to be an older home and in need of some upkeep and updating, especially the downstair living quarters which were really non-attractive and in poor conditions. The outside pool and tiki bar was by far the best part of the house and the landscaping was very nice. The location by vehicle to town was convenient but the location to the Atlantic by boat was quite a little journey down winding "no wake" canals (about 30 minutes) which made for a long hot ride to and from the ocean. Check out was at 10am and they request that you wash all dishes in the dishwasher and unload it returning the dishes to their proper locations both upstairs and downstairs. Likewise, you are requested to have all towels and wash cloths washed (except for 1 days worth which includes all the towels that were on site) at check out and all the bed linens stripped and placed in the laundry area. We are very clean and orderly people so it wasn't too big of an issue except it did add a bit of extra duty on an already rushed check out morning. In order to get out by 10 and meeting all the requested check out requirements negated an early start on our last day of vacation (6:30am). This property is managed by a property manager, Island Breeze Rentals. We didn't notice when booking, probably because of the strategic angles of the photos taken and they're being mostly focused on the back patio/pool/tiki bar area; that there are no TV's in any of the 4 bedrooms. We found this vacation rental to be very over-priced for the reasons stated above and we would not stay here again.

Great property

We (me, my wife and son) spent a week here to try out the middle keys (we'd always been a Key West family). Great house on a canal with a wonderful backyard pool, tiki hut combo where we spent most of our time. We also rented a boat a few days and had it delivered to our dock. Close to Sombrero Beach, in a great part of town. Very convenient to stores and restaurants. Would stay at this property again.
