The apartment is located in the historic center, in one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. Center of tourist attraction, rich in history; from Caterina Cornaro queen of Cyprus to Eleonora Duse, great actress of the early 1900s, from Pietro Bembo to Robert Browning, Freya Stark and the composer Malipiero. All great characters who have stayed in this small ancient village. To make it unique there are various small glimpses, in fact it was named by the poet Carducci "The city of a hundred horizons". Trekking and mountain bike trails surround this jewel, located and surrounded by hills in an atmosphere and breathtaking views. To see: - the castle of Queen Cornaro which houses the Duse Theater, - Casa Duse and the actress's tomb located at the nearby cemetery of S. Anna, - Villa Freya with its botanical garden (visit by appointment) with ancient remains of a theater Roman, - Zen Fountain and Maggiore Fountain, - Lombard House, - Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, - Civic Museum and for trekking lovers the majestic Rocca that overlooks the town from atop its hill.
Around the country, in the immediate vicinity you can find typical local "hosterie" where you can enjoy the welcome dishes, a pizzeria, a sandwich bar and a bar almost everywhere.
In Asolo you can get there by car or, leaving the car at the Ca 'Vescovo car park (at the state road) there is a local "De Zen" bus that will take you to the historic center in a short time.
At the Ca 'Vescovo parking lot, there are also Mom public services that can take you to centers 15 km away where you can take the train (Montebelluna, Castelfranco Veneto, Bassano del Grappa, Treviso).
The parking lots available to tourists are: in the historic center on payment; Covered and paid Cipressina car park; Hospital parking (free); parking Ca 'Vescovo (free).
Not far from the center you can visit: Villa Barbaro in Maser (a masterpiece of Palladio) with production and sale of wines; Villa Emo Fanzolo (Palladio); Canova Possagno plaster cast gallery; Tomb Brion S. Vito di Altivole (designed by the architect Scarpa).
In the neighboring areas do not miss the centers of: Bassano del Grappa with the historic Ponte degli Alpini; Marostica with the checkerboard square; Treviso, a charming provincial capital city; Venice 1 hour by car, or by taking the train from the stations of Montebelluna or Castelfranco Veneto.
A nice hike to do is to Monte Grappa with tunnels and trenches of the "Great War" and on top of the ossuary dedicated to the soldiers who died in the war itself.
Not far away you can find wine cellars almost everywhere, where you can taste the local wines, including the "Prosecco Doc" from Valdobbiadene and the surrounding area.
