The flat is next to Rue Mouffetard, between Jardin des Plantes and the Pantheon
There are a big living-room with a new opening sofa for 2 persons, a nice bedroom wih a double bed, a kitchen with everything you need (cooker, oven, micro-wave, clothes washing-machine)and a bathroom with a small but nice bath to relax.
The apartment has got glazed-windows for quiet nights in Paris.
At 2 mn from the metro Place Monge, and just near rue Mouffetard, famous for its small restaurants, and cafés up my street. It's a friendly place, very touristic but very safe.
I rent my flat at summer time because I'm often in the south of France. This flat is the flat where I growed -up, I love this area.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2012
It's a lively place with the tipical and friendly street rue Mouffetard at 100 meters from the apartment. You can go for walks on foot to jardin du luxembourg ( the french Sénat), jardin des plantes : to the big gallery of evolution ( an incredible museum for children and parents !), to The Pantheon...
The supermarket at 20m, is opened untill 10 pm and there are lots of small restaurants and pubs up to my street.
My apartment is quiet, with new fournitures, there is room enough for children.
The métro : Place Monge is at 20 meters and a bike station is in front of the building if you fell to go for a ride in Paris.
The car parking 'les Patriarches' situated in the area makes weeks prices.
My wife and I spent two weeks chez Corinne. The apartment was very clean, on the first floor and very well provisioned. The kitchen and bathroom were small but very adequate. It was wonderful to have a separate bedroom, with a very comfortable sofa bed. The living/dining room has a very comfortable sofa that can become a bed. The location was superb. We experienced a Parisian neighborhood dominated by French people rather than tourists! Rue Mouffetard boasts of many restaurants and the markets are excellent. We were also within easy walking distance to the major tourist attractions of Paris and two short blocks to the Jardin des Plantes. We were one block from the Rue Monge Metro from which all of Paris was within easy reach. We hope to return to Paris, and to Corinne's, next spring.
The apartment was a typical French apartment for its time. The location is what makes this apartment really a great place to explore Paris from. The metro was a few minutes away, a very nice grocery store was within 1 minute away and a fantastic street with many shops and restaurants was a five minute walk away. It was comfortable and roomy enough for our family of 4. The owner was lovely and super easy to deal with and prompt with return information and deposit. She allowed us to depart later the day of our departure without hesitation as she did not have someone else arriving that day. I would not hesitate to return to this rental if we are lucky enough to visit Paris again.
Our US family of 4, children ages 17 & 11, had a very comfortable stay in Corinne's apartment in the Latin Quarter. It was as described and clean. The location is amazing, the neighborhood is fun for walking and exploring with its narrow medieval streets. Rue Mouffetard is great for some reasonably priced restaurants, markets, and street food, especially crepes. There is a lot of great history to this neighborhood. Hemingway used to hang out at the Contrescape just a 3 minute walk down Rue Lacepede. It is probably faster to walk to Notre Dame than to take the Metro, and a lot more scenic! We also walked once to the Eiffel Tower, but it was a long walk. The Metro (Place Monge) is incredibly close and easy to use when needed for distance or weather. We bought a few Carnets from machines at the metro stations (sets of 10 metro tickets for a discount) as needed. There is also a taxi station right across from the Place Monge Metro station which we used for an early morning ride (11 euros) to the train station for a day trip to Amsterdam. It costs more if you have luggage. We were comfortable taking the metro home after 9:00 PM. The Place Monge market was a real treat too on Wed. and Sat.
Getting in and out of the older, quiet, and secure apartment building is an experience with a code, 3 doors, and 3 keys. We were quickly proficient with the process. We didn't figure out the hallway light switches right away, but there are 2 for coming and going. Both beds (sofas) were comfortable although the living room one didn't look like it would be. Some of the linens and bath towels were older but in good condition. We used the kitchen quite a bit and everything was in working order. There were essentials in the pantry. We did not meet Corrine but her helper Marie Rose greeted us and we all did our best with language barriers to get squared away. We did call/text Corinne a couple of times with questions and she was always available and helpful in English. The small security deposit was refunded within 3 days.
Paris is always a good idea! The apartment is a great value in the center of city! We came from the U.S. on our annual trip to France, and were renting this apartment for a week in June 2015. The location of the building is very convenient, the Metro stop is just around the corner. The neighborhood still preserves an authentic, romantic feel of old Paris with quiet streets, gorgeous facades decorated with flower boxes, gourmet shops, a nice fresh food and flowers market, and a lovely large botanical garden for casual walks or running (with a cute petting zoo and a carousel for kids). The street is very quiet and clean. Because of double glass windows you can't hear any noise at night. At the end of the street there is a whole block of restaurants arranged around a fountain in an old square, it feels very local and non-touristy, yet classy with style. Of course you get all modern conveniences including nice supermarkets (one is just a few meters to the left from the front door to the building opened until 10 pm)
The apartment has everything you need for a family (there were four of us including two of our kids - teenagers). Very clean and bright! The kitchen and bath are very comfortable and everything functions well, including the plumbing and all appliances. Having a washing machine and a drying rack was very helpful too. Some nights we made dinners at home with fresh food we bought at the markets ( you will save a lot of money compare to restaurants even if you buy the finest ingredients in Paris). The beds are comfortable with good linens. The apartment is very secure and I wasn't afraid to leave jewelry or other valuables right on the table.
The owner and the manager are very personable and helpful, we had a great experience here and will recommend this apartment to all our friends.
I would like to recommend the apartment in the Quarter Latin. We spent a terrific week this march exploring Paris in mornings by foot, while in the evenings we used to stay in the latin quarter, enjoying the numerous cafes, bars and shops in rue Mouffetard.
The apartment is pleasant parisian style with two big rooms, convenient kitchen and a bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. Me and my two sisters felt at home at once .
The owner, Corinne is a marvelous person. She took care for every little detail and helped us pass a wonderful vacation. We consulted her on different issues concerning the trip itself and she always answered quickly.
You'll enjoy the apartment and it's location.
Comfortable, great location, secure and quiet. Basic (don't expect the Ritz) but everything you need. Sofa bed in bedroom surprisingly comfortable. Metro just steps away but we walked to both the Louvre and Notre Dame from the apt. More bistros, cafes and food shops in the neighborhood than you could go to in a month. Owner very helpful.
