A path amongst the walls of other country houses allows pleasant walk of 15 mins to the historic quarter of the city.

It is recommended to have your own car available, but there is a high availability of taxis given the closeness to town.
All the advantages of a city (restaurants, shops, shopping centres, cinemas, theatre, ...) with the tranquillity of the countryside.
The owner, Teresa was very helpful, we emailed her with any queries etc and she replied promptly.
The villa is old and full of character with plenty of space inside and out. The bedrooms are good sizes and all have air-conditioning.
The housekeeper, Catalino, and his wife and son live on site in a separate apartment adjoined to the house so are on hand to help in any way. Gabrielle made us dinner the evening we arrived, which was delicious. Unfortunately, we are poor Spanish speakers so it was difficult to converse with Catalino, but we managed - with the help of translation apps on our phones - and Catalino's enthusiasm to help was not hindered by the language barrier.
We did not hire a car for our holiday but did utilise Catalino's 'taxi service' as well as the city's taxis. Charges for the latter were approximately 7 Euros in the day and 12Euros at night. We walked into Toledo many times too, which was manageable for us, even in the heat but may be difficult for the very old or very young; it is fairly steep and most of it is unmade track which takes you on to the main road near St Martin's bridge. This took us about 10 minutes only (we recommend decent shoes for the walk - no flip flops). There are a couple of shops, bars and restaurants along this road, but then there's a further steepish walk to get to the various attractions and most of the restaurants in the city.
The pool was superb and a god-send in the heat of Toledo in July (over 100F degrees every day). NB the walls of the pool are painted green hence the look in the photos.
The children made friends with Toby, the guard dog and were very sad to leave him.
There's plenty to see in Toledo and many restaurants to sample; all those we tried were excellent. The locals were, without exception very friendly and warm. Fly Toledo, the zip wire across the river, is highly recommended.
We stayed 4 days at the property this spring. Fantastic views of Toledo. Easy access in and out of town and a great location for day trips. The caretakers are lovely people and the home's owner was helpful in setting up the trip.
The house sleeps many couples comfortably and the evening walks in the olive groves and the nighttime view are extraordinary!
We were a family party of 11 staying for a week at the end of October. The house and grounds are lovely, lots of beautiful furniture, art and architecture, but also very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed eating in the lovely dining room, with doors open, looking over Toledo. We had wood burning stoves both downstairs and upstairs all week which was lovely for the time of year.....although the weather was very good (16-22 degrees). Catalino and Gabrielle, the housekeepers were super, helpful, but not intrusive. The dog, Toby, was no problem, very well behaved and came down to visit us from time to time . The walk into town was easy ( once you find the gate in the wall) and we walked to Toledo every day. We also had a car which was useful for shopping, supermarket is about 15 mins. We also took the AVE to Madrid for a day and went to Consuegra to see the windmills and Saffron Festival.....a good day trip. Toledo is great to walk around .......easy to get 'lost' but after a few days we found our way easily. Our teenagers enjoyed the zip wire.....and we walked round the town by the river gorge path which was excellent. The pool was closed, but we could see it would be great in the summer. Also the teenagers enjoyed the games room....pool and table tennis. Overall a perfect holiday, I would thoroughly recommend the house to anyone.
First of all, the few negatives: Catalino and Gabriela, the caretakers who live on the property, are originally from Romania. Spanish is their second language and trying to converse with them in our rudimentary Spanish was challenging. Most difficult was trying to get directions to the property, which is difficult to find and GPS doesn't get you all the way there. Better written instructions to the property, especially the last mile, would be very helpful. Catalino and Gabriela also own a puppy (Toby), who was tied up under a tree most the time and cried a lot. If you are an animal lover, this could be somewhat distressing, but the puppy will of course be older when future renters arrive.
Now for the positives: This home and property are unbelievable. The pictures do not do it justice. Every room is like a museum. It is decorated beautifully, with fabulous antique furnishings and artwork. The structure is steeped in history. The whole experience is so atmospheric and you really feel privileged to be there. I could not get over the tile work. The house is vast, with two kitchens, two dining rooms, multiple outdoor spaces, and everything so beautifully appointed and well stocked. The lovely pool area was a perfect spot the end each day. I cannot rave enough about the home and property. We were there for a week and even spent two days lounging about the home without sightseeing because we couldn't pull ourselves away from the experience.
Nothing is within walking distance, so you either need to drive into town for meals or stock up at a grocery store (there are many within a 15 minute drive). The kitchens have everything you need to create meals. Catalino and Gabriela care for the grounds (which are vast), but they are very unobtrusive and courteous. Teresa, the owner, was very responsive and the financial transaction could not have been smoother.
The home is a great central point for exploring the region. We took the train from Toledo to Madrid twice and that was a simple process. We also drove to Cuenca, Segovia, and Avila and all were easy drives. Toledo is about a 10 minute drive away, but be careful of parking restrictions.
We truly loved our stay in this magnificent home and were all depressed when it was time to leave. I hope we have the opportunity to return some day.
Our party of 10 stayed in this wonderful big house that sits on top of a hill overlooking the Old City of Toledo. The house has plenty of living spaces with a large outdoor sitting area, and a nice swimming pool. It was very comfortable, quiet, and only few minutes drive to the old town, supermarket, restaurants, and train stations.
Diego & Maria, who live on the property were very helpful, and managed to communicated with our little knowledge of Spanish.
The owner, Teresa, communicated well in English and was prompt with our inquiries about the house and the town of Toledo.
We definitely would recommend this house for up to 11 persons who wish to visit the old town of Toledo.
We all had an amazing & relaxing time staying in this property, and hope to visit again someday soon!
We were very excited to stay here, and were really sad when it was time to leave. Everything was as described, but what couldn't be described was the feeling you will have when staying here: a unique experience!!! It was excellent, it was a dream! We drove from Toledo by car, about 2 minute drive, but walking distance was only 10 minutes, and 15 to the city! At firs we didn't know how to get there, but We have been showed us the way! He was very helpful in everything and we are very grateful to having him right next door! We felt at home from the very first moment and very warm welcomed! And for this price you won't get any luxury hotel, but this! It was like living a dream, having your Hacienda, high life, and a the same time feeling the freedom of the countryside being mere 10 minutes walk from Toledo! We all very suggest it to anybody who wants a great and pleasant experience! Thank you and we will all be back, count on that!
Marvellous views over the historic quarter of Toledo, on a hill 3 km away from the centre. Farm of 12 hectares. Completely fenced off, maximum independence. Manor house in typical style of Toledo with broad quarters. Pleasant walks and pool without leaving the property. Golf course 11 km away (Layos), Tennis and paddle tennis 1 km away.
Ideal for family and friend reunions, combining tranquillity, tourism and sports.
