You've created a most comforting retreat for all who visit. We enjoyed a most peaceful weekend exploring nature under a full moon with calming memories of our hike in the Rockefeller Preserve in Grand Teton National Park. "Heavenly"
Perfect location, perfect unit, perfect hosts, perfect weather, Jane and Becky did not have anything to do with the weather. We stayed for for 3 weeks and we could have stayed for ever. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids under 9. I will be very happy here.
Having lived in the area, we wanted to find a place to stay that is private and quiet with easy access to Grand Teton Nat.l Park. The Burt Barn was perfect! It is located in Wilson off the scenic road to the back entrance to GTNP. It is close to good restaurants and the best local brewery, and a just short drive into Jackson.
We felt so at home in Burt Barn, and enjoyed spending time relaxing on the deck or cooking a meal. The owners have done a great job designing the Burt Barn and it is beautifully furnished in a western style. It has a spacious feel and all the comforts and conveniences of home.
Becky and Jayne are friendly hosts who know the area well and can make recommendations on restaurants, trails to hike, and galleries to check out.
We recommend the Burt Barn without reservation. Just can't imagine a more perfect spot to enjoy hiking and kayaking and cycling or road tripping in the Tetons, a very special place.
Thank you Becky and Jayne!
Our family of 4 had the pleasure of staying at the Burt Barn for a week in June 2016, and what an amazing week it was. This home is the perfect location, secluded from the hustle and bustle, within walking distance to some great restaurants, and close to Teton National Park and also downtown Jackson. It was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. Becky and Jayne are so friendly; the advice they are willing to share made our stay extra special as we felt like locals experiencing the area. We love to have the comforts of home when we are vacationing, and the Burt Barn certainly provides that. We got great advice for a local spot to rent Mountain Bikes, and the shop owner even shuttled us to the start for an amazing ride. We plan to return sometime in the winter to experience Jackson Hole skiing, and we will certainly be staying at the Burt Barn. Thank you for opening your guest home up to us, and for sharing the great advice!
The apartment provided a lovely, perfect retreat for the holidays from which to ski or do anything in Jackson area, or nothing at all. (I come to Jackson regularly, and appreciate the convenient location.) It lives up to its images--something one does not always find--and more. The owners have thoughtfully and fully appointed it, from well placed reading lamps to lots of towels and detergent to games and ample kitchen gear, and keep it super clean. It is well constructed too, letting in lots of light and views to the Tetons but absolutely no hint of the -15F mornings outside this winter. Becky and Jayne are friendly, nice, easy going and helpful.
The Burt Barn is a great home base for exploring Jackson, the Grand Tetons, and Yellowstone. The apartment is very clean and well appointed and lives up to the posted pictures. The back deck is relaxing, especially with a morning cup of coffee. Becky and Jayne are very nice, accommodating, and easy to deal with. They made every effort to make us feel at home and comfortable without being intrusive. The surrounding area was beautiful in September with the Aspen colors, blue skies, great trails, and wonderful wildlife. We highly recommend this rental and the area!
My wife and I spent a glorious week staying at the beautifully restored, tastefully furnished, and well-equipped Burt Barn Guest House, while enjoying the many close-by sites of Grand Teton National Park and the Jackson Hole area. The location offers the best of both worlds: it is a short 10 minute drive to all the services of the bustling town of Jackson, but far enough out of town so you feel like part of the countryside. We even got to enjoy seeing moose and deer from the deck and through the windows! Our delightful hosts Becky and Jayne, who live next door, provided gracious hospitality throughout our stay and generously shared their extensive knowledge of the area that includes important details about particular hiking trails, restaurants, grocery stores, birding opportunities, and road conditions. They were always available when we needed something without ever being intrusive. We look forward to seeing them again and to our next stay at the Burt Barn!
