Convention and Snowmobiling fun
We traveled to Colorado for a convention. However, we wanted somewhere in between Denver and Vail Pass for snowmobiling. This property exceeded our expectations! Its three floor layout was great for our group of 7 adults. An abundance of bedrooms and bathrooms made this property extremely comfortable. The view is outstanding from many rooms in the house. Rex was very nice and kept us updated with potential snow storms. I had issues with my registration due to a typo in my email. Therefore, prior to even arriving to Colorado. Rex went above and beyond to ensure I was getting the needed information for our stay. Overall this has been one of the most outstanding houses we have stayed in! Highly recommended!

Spectacular views overlooking the Rocky Mountains
We enjoyed our stay at Quartz Mountain Ranch which overlooks the Rocky Mountains. The windows and furnishings are well placed to sit and enjoy amazing views from the warmth of the house. Both decks include comfortable seating for taking in the views when the weather allows. The house is spacious with many places for quiet and for conversation, depending on your preference. There are plenty of cooking supplies in the large and lovely kitchen, which accommodates several cooks as well as spectators at the counter. There are three stories with the main level in the middle and the bedrooms on the first and third levels. The bottom floor also has a sitting area and deck, as does the main level. Guests should be aware there are stairs to navigate from the main level to the bedrooms. The owner was available through text and phone to answer questions and help us navigate the roads and weather. Instructions for the stay were also posted in the house. We enjoyed our stay at Quartz Mountain Ranch!

Best Kept Secret
We have travelled all over the state of Colorado for over 30 years, escaping the Texas heat every summer. Since our group is fairly large - 11 of us - we always look for a house. This is the first (and probably the last) review I have ever written - just not into doing reviews. But I must say, we probably enjoyed this property as much or more than any other. The views are awesome - way beyond what you see on the website and that is pretty awesome itself. The property was well maintained and everything was in great working condition - hot tub, appliances, kitchen and cooking accessories, media equipment, etc. (With many rentals, this is not always the case). I slept the best I have ever slept in a Colorado home. The owners clearly love the Lord as is witnessed in the decor of the home - I loved that! 5 stars!

Growing up in Carthage, Illinois along the Mississippi River in the Midwest, my parents would drive us across the plains to Colorado almost every year to enjoy the mountains and visit relatives. We would have a family challenge to see who could see the Colorado mountains first in the distance while driving across the Plains. My dad, Carl Geissler, an avid antique dealer and farm manager, would always win the contest! Dad loved to read Louis L'Amour books, watch John Wayne and other western movies and TV shows, buy Indian jewelry and relics, and to dream about the West! Mom and Dad even received a wedding gift of a 1960 lighted photo of Bear Lake in Colorado. Learning about the Indians in North Platte's Fort Cody and the Western American Explorers like Zebulon Pike and Buffalo Bill, I loved visiting the Colorado mountains. When I was hired by IBM in Boulder in 1987, I knew this was a dream to not only live in Colorado but to own a home and property in the mountains to relax and enjoy the remote wilderness with family and friends. I never dreamed that I would be able to actually own both the Coal Creek Cabins property along a mountain stream as well as Quartz Mountain Ranch on a mountain top (Scar Top) in the Colorado mountains!
