The place was fantastic from the very start. Very spacious and beautiful. If come back this way again there is no doubt in my mind that we’ll try to stay here again
We’ve just spent a fantastic week at Joelle’s house and can’t fault it! The house is only 25 minutes from Bergerac airport and we were met by Chrystelle who showed us round the house and helped with local info. The house was immaculate and had everything you could possibly need. The pool was a big hit with our 7 year old and was perfectly sized for him. The sun loungers are very comfortable and I may have fallen asleep on them a couple of times!
A previous review mentioned the church bells, but we found them to be rung on an ad hoc basis and we didn’t suffer any early wake up calls (so don’t let this put you off).
Joelle was great sending messages on the lead up to our holiday and even allowed us to remain in the house on check out date as we had a late flight.
There was a great play room with toys for boys and girls and the Lego certainly passed a few hours when the weather turned.
I could go on, but I’ll just say it’s a beautiful house in a beautiful little village. Eymet, the nearest town is great and has a beautiful square with restaurants. Thanks Joelle and Chrystelle for making our stay so enjoyable!
Lovely house, ideal for families.
We enjoyed our week in this superb holiday home, excellent facilities and nice quiet location. Supermarket and restaurants only a 5 minute drive away if you dont want to cook. It has everything you could want for a pleasant weeks holiday. We are looking forward to returning in the future.
Spacious and well furnished
We had a great family holiday.
Thanks Sally to take time to write your assessment.
We were vey happy to welcome you.
Great holiday home, wonderful location.
We really enjoyed our stay in les Cedres, Serres et Montguyard. We were a group of seven, five adults and two small children. The house was perfect for our two week stay. The property was just as described in the advertisement. The pool was indispensable as the weather was very warm for our stay. The area was quiet and peaceful and close to the village of Eymet where there are lots of restaurants and bars. We would highly recommend this property and hope to return.
Thank a lot for your kind review.
Excellent for families
If you enjoy your lie in then be warned, there is a church virtually on the doorstep where the bells ring from 7am on every hour through to the evening, at 8am and 8pm they ring like crazy, I assume for mass. However, if this doesn't bother you then this is a fantastic place to stay. It is well equipped for children with a toy room, trampoline, swing, table tennis and toys for the pool. The kitchen was great as were the bedrooms, although the pillows were not the most comfortable. The pool provided hours of fun for us all and was a pleasant change from chlorinated pools that we are used to. The location is very quiet with only the church and a town hall, the supermarkets are a short but easy drive away. The gite was spotless and Anahi, the housekeeper, was extremely helpful. The only thing that would put me off returning is the church bells, when I'm on holiday I like to lose track of time and definitely don't want early morning wake up calls.
Nearby Eymet, a Medieval Bastide town, has many restaurants, bars, shops, weekly markets and summer gastronomic Night Markets, with an Oyster Fete, Medieval Fair and similar events, in the square, as well as in other local places.
The Dordogne, with all its beauty, historic sites, vin-yards, train excursions, canoeing, boat trips and a wealth of attractions, can easily be explored and accessed, as well as Bergerac and Bordeaux.
Our land abuts Lot et Garonne with beautiful villages, bastide towns, markets, restaurants and many other places of interest.
A wealth of choice to cater for many tastes and interests.
