Easy to Find Yet Private

We used this location as a home base for our wedding at NW Trek. It was quiet and spacious for our out of town guests and family. We were very appreciative of the beauty of the property as well. It was a lovely place to stay. We would definitely stay again!

Amazingly unique rental with a few issues

  • 4 of 5

Opa's Log Cabin is such a unique and cool place. We love the beautiful craftsmanship, the quirky rustic design and all the little details that made it such a fun place to stay for our family. The kitchen is equipped with the basics, the bathrooms are in decent condition and there is one on every floor. The furniture is a little dated but it sort of adds to the charm. The balconies and views of Mt. Ranier are amazing. Unfortunately, the owners must be having some issues with their cleaning service. There were obvious signs the property had not been properly cleaned or checked before tenancy began. There was also an infestation of flies, which meant I was cleaning bathrooms and sweeping up dead and dying insects upon our late evening arrival. Not my idea of an ideal situation when I am paying $150 cleaning fee to turn it over for the next tenant. I informed the owner of these issues, so hopefully they will get them sorted out. It's a potential 5 star property, no doubt. It just needs more consistent management to bring it up to that standard.

beautiful spacious private relaxing vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

we had a wonderful time with family while staying at Opa's cabin. The 3 levels each with it's own deck provided space for all to spread out. The view of the mountain was great until the smoke from the fires moved in. It was fun to see the horses and cattle grazing. We enjoyed walking through the woods and even around the yard enjoying the flowers and rock set ups. It is apparent that much time and care is given to the property. We would definitely stay there again if we ever travel to that part of the country.

Opa's Exceeded Expectations

  • 5 of 5

We were speechless upon arrival. This isn't a run-of-the-mill rental. Although there were three stories, each had a view of Mount Rainier. The cabin is gorgeous on the inside and out. You won't be disappointed. We are looking forward to staying at Opa's cabin next year!

Wow! Wow! and Wow! My family (mother in-law, wife and 5 children) and I had the most amazing stay in Opa's Log Cabin! Where do I start.....1) Clean, 2) Convenient, 3) The interior décor was amazing, 4) Kids loved the DVDs and the Wi-Fi, 5) The wood burning fireplace was so fun and plenty of wood to burn through, 6) The sleeping arrangements on the third floor were perfect for my family along with the Master Suite on the first floor, 7) The kitchen was incredible with dishes to use when needed, 8) All three bathrooms were outstanding and we all felt right at home, 9) One of the days we were there, out the 3rd floor balcony...we say Mt. Rainer on a picturesque day...Stunning!, 10) The fenced in yard with wonderful grass for the kids to play soccer on was great for them. Finally we hosted family and friends over one afternoon and they were completely impressed with our choice of Opa's Cabin. What a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Patrick and Nicole.
