We travelled as a family of five with 2 small dogs. Our arrival on Christmas Eve was met with the surprise of a decorated Christmas tree - a lovely touch for our children who were a little concerned as to where Father Christmas would put the presents!
The beds were very comfortable, the roll top bath a luxury at the end of the day and the kitchen had all the necessary equipment including a dishwasher with detergent.
The layout is well designed with screens and well placed furniture to accommodate a family, despite there not actually being separate bedrooms.
The location is idyllic with views over the country park, and to the sea. There is also access to the private meadow where we were able to walk our dogs and see the pigs and sheep.
The outside terrace was perfect for the dogs with a gate at the bottom so that they were safely enclosed when let out at night. We had fantastic weather and were even able to eat lunch outside on the terrace in Boxing Day!
We couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay whilst visiting nearby family for Christmas. We definitely hope to return again in the future.
We had our mini moon stay in this cottage recently and had a fantastic stay. Property is a very restful spacious place, immaculately cleaned, well maintained and fitted with all the amenities you could want. The Pirates Lookout offered fantastic sea and cliff views. Very secure fenced in property which we really appreciated with our young dog. Would recommend to all, to be honest we didn't want to come home!
Lovely location, previous comments about the access road are fully justified but we did'nt have any problems with our new Honda Jazz providing you drive slowly. We live in an rural location and are used to bumpy roads but accept that some city dwellers would be wary of the road surface
Fantastic views across open countryside towards the sea
Nice property . Clean and tidy . Very well equipped . Peaceful
Qwerky interior . Lovely bathroom
Would visit again
One difficult area to navigate was the lane leading to the property it is deeply rutted and wouldn't suit all types of vehicle .
But overall a great break
We stayed in Pixies Croft for the bank holiday weekend! What a beautiful little cottage... With fabuolous decor the owner had made the best of quite a small space. The main sleeping area was delightful, comfy and very tastefully decorated. Bathrooms were beautiful! Just a small lounge/dining area but perfect for the two of us with our dog. The kitchen was so well equipped.
The private garden, patio and balcony were lovely with furniture for us to use. The sun shine through out our weekend and we had breakfast on the balcony watching the shimmering sea in the distance each morning. So many walks in our doorstep so if you have a dog it's ideal. Location is great & we ventured off into beautiful Rye which is very close by.
The owner was great, provided a few extras which made a difference in our arrival... We'll
Most definitely return to this fabulous little hide away!!
We had the most amazing stay at Pixie Croft! Myself, my partner and our three year old son absolutely loved it! Stunning views, beautiful quirky cottage, loved the terraces and the little 'secret garden' as my little boy called it!
The owner thought of every single little personal touch you could imagine! Everything you need is already there.
We had an amazing time, and we will definitely be returning here!
Truly special place!
