This cabin is totally amazing. We loved our time there and did not want to leave. The kitchen is well stocked. The bed is comfortable. The winding road to get to the cabin is well maintained and an adventure in itself, wondering what was around each turn. The beautiful scenery, the sound of the creek, and the complete and total privacy! If you want to get away and enjoy the beauty/solitude of nature - this is the cabin you are looking for. The owners are responsive and strive to make your stay the perfect getaway. Cabin is close to entrance to Great Smoky Mountain park and Blue Ridge Parkway. Next time we go this way, will absolutely book this cabin. A piece of heaven on earth!
Thanks Jan, for your kind words! We are so glad you had a wonderfull experience at Running Bear Falls!! Hope you will come back and see us again!
Best place I have ever stayed! Perfect☺️
Loved every minute of this secluded gorgeous nature haven and fully stocked homey cabin! Everything you could possibly need is right there! Caretaker even has a fire ready to start! They had makings for s’mores too! We enjoyed the fire pit by the creek when we made our s’mores ☺️
The cabin and the mountain air smelled soooo good I surely didn’t want to leave! You won’t either! Take advantage of letting the friendly caretaker get groceries for you!
So accommodating on every level! Called to make sure we got there. The caretaker offered to meet us and guide us to the cabin since we got there late. How sweet
We WILL be making this the only place we ever stay for our mountain vacation☺️👍🏻
We recently spent a weekend at Running Bear Falls Cabin. From the moment we arrived at the cabin, everything was perfect. The directions were explicit and easy to follow. Upon driving up the driveway, the landscaping was beautiful and the sound of the stream soothing. My daughter loved the arrival gift which was all the fixings needed for s'mores. Peter, the caretaker, called to be sure that we arrived safely and was kind enough to drop off some provisions that we had forgotten. Neil also checked on us upon arrival to be sure that we were settled. We had everything that we needed for a weekend getaway. The cabin kitchen is just as stocked as my kitchen at home...in fact, better...the waffle maker was a great surprise and provided lots of smiles at breakfast. The beds were comfortable, and the cabin was clean. We enjoyed using the grill and hot tub and also took advantage of the wood delivery for our campfire. Peter even set it up for us, so we were ready to go that evening! We did some fly fishing the Cherokee reservation and some waterfall hiking. It was too quick of a visit and look forward to a return. Thank you for sharing such a magical place!
The perfect cabin for a getaway!
The “girls” wanted a weekend getaway and it was up to me to find a place. I could not have picked a more perfect location. The accommodations were everything the reviews said they were. The cabin has everything from hot tub towels to chilled glasses in the freezer to containers of q-tips and cotton balls! The property manager, Peter, made sure everything was set for us, even down to the stacked firewood for the fireplace and fire pit. Everything was so cozy and comfortable. We are already trying to figure out when we can make it back for another weekend!
Thanks Sheila for the kind words! We so are glad you enjoyed our cozy cabin!! Please come back soon, remind us that you are repeat customer so we can extend the discounts! Thanks again for taking the time to send the wonderful review!
Fantastic location and a beautiful cabin.
The cabin exceeded our expectations by far!! We had an amazing time being secluded and having the wonderful stream below to entertain the kids and help us relax. The cabin was wonderful and has everything you need. We had more than enough room. Everything was clean and the caretaker was very accommodating. The owners are wonderful people and very helpful. A fantastic place we will return to in the future.
Thanks so much Kyle! So glad you enjoyed our little piece of paradise! If you come again, let us know about a return visitors discount!
We've stayed at cabins in this area many times but this is one of the best. It is very well appointed from the kitchen, to the bathrooms, to the games, to the beds, to the furnishings, etc. We personally enjoyed the wood stove since the weather turned a bit ugly while we were there. The creek and the access to it were also very enjoyable. You'll miss the sound of rushing water as soon as you leave.
As far as the road and location goes, you just need to be prepared and accept that as part of the adventure. To us, it just makes it that much better but we have been traveling Plot Balsam for the better part of 10 years. Never a problem.
Hats off to the owners for creating such a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. We will be back.
Thanks for your kind words, we love our location too, glad you did! Come back and see us!
