About Sarah E Ledford

I grew up in Broken Bow just 12 miles from Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park. Our family has spent many fun-filled hours at the lake swimming, boating, fishing, pic-nicking and camping. Every year for 10 years my entire family; parents, siblings and all of our children camped at the lake for the 4th of July. My children talk about all the 4th's and reminisce every new 4th of July. My grandmother that is no longer with us lived in Virginia when I was growing up and we always had to make a trip to the lake even if we only had time for a picnic! When I had children we started them out at a very young age enjoying the lake and state park as well. This property belongs to a lifelong family friend and they are trusting me to take care of it and get guests here to enjoy what we have to offer. I have been married for 35 years in June and have a son a daughter a daughter in law and 3 awesome grandchildren that now get the opportunity to enjoy Broken Bow Lake, Beavers Bend State Park, and all of the area attractions that now make a family vacation so much fun! I want you to come and enjoy the beauty we have been blessed with.

Why Sarah E Ledford chose Broken Bow

The area has grown so much and people from surrounding states are finding our pristine lake and premium hiking trails a family adventure. There is often no camping/RV sites available so individuals have built cabins in the area to accommodate their families and so doing allow guests to stay at their properties so they can enjoy what we have come to love. This property is reasonably priced for the amount of people it accommodates and it is comfortable and homey. Winding Oaks is located just off of the road that leads to the Broken Bow Dam and other inlets to the lake where some of the best trout fishing, bass fishing is located.

What makes this cabin unique

Winding Oaks is located very close to the lake as well as all of the area attractions such as the zip line course, the petting zoo, hiking trails, shops, boutiques, restaurants and so much more all within a couple of miles radius. What more could anyone want for their family, decent prices, room for everyone, and close to everything that's happening!!! The property has a hot tub and a playground for the younger ones, a gas grill to cook that fresh caught trout and a fire-pit to tell stories around and make s'mores! Wow the memories you'll make!

Very enjoyable

  • 4 of 5

I took my family on vacation to Broken Bow. We stayed in the Winding Oaks Cabin. The cabin was well stocked with supplies and there was plenty of room for the whole family. I liked that it was close enough to town that it did not takes us forever to get there, but still secluded. We had a great time.

Great Outdoor Space

  • 3 of 5

Grandkids enjoyed outdoor area including hot tub, swing set and horseshoes. The cabin was spacious and accommodated our needs; however, the cabin needs a good cleaning, exterminating and the bathrooms need some attention.

Most MemorableThanksgiving Ever!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was perfect for our large family, there was plenty of room for everyone. The only draw back was the lack of counter space in the kitchen, but hey it is a cabin, we made it work.

The grand kids loved the swing set, hot tub, and enjoyed roasting hot dogs and making smore's around the fire pit.

The owner Sara was very attentive to our needs and responded QUICKLY!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much Lou Ann. Yes this cabin doesn't have the counter space that some of the other cabins have but I'm so glad you were able to enjoy it just the same and make family memories for Thanksgiving! We hope you can come back again in the summer and enjoy the lake during the warmer weather. Thanks Again Sarah
