Lovely little cottage. Pots and pans were not large enough for a family of three so we got M&S or Tesco ready-meals (not really a bad thing ha!). Sofa was uncomfortable but we weren't planning on doing lots of tv watching. Grouting in the wet room was loose and digs in your feet if you're bare-foot. Apart from those few niggles, it was a great place, superb location to get to all the local attractions. Thank you!
Great accommodation, really peaceful and cosy. Definitely recommended. Kids loved it too!!
We stayed in the Dairy, which is a lovingly converted 2 bedroom cottage, with lots of character but also lots of contemporary features tastefully incorporated. The kitchen is homely and includes a dishwasher! The lounge is cosy and features all Sky channels. The beds are very comfy and the wetroom bathroom is lovely. If there is a downside, it is the one toilet in the bathroom - we got by with 3 of us, but more than 3 might need a rota of sorts! Don't let that put you off though as this is a lovely cottage for a couple, but also for a family, as kids will love feeding the animals with Farmer Vic!
great property! with great facilities, hot tub, farm etc.
privacy at all times.
just returned from a five day stay at Amber Mill south wing there were 12 in our party ranging from youngsters to grandparents we had a fabulous time the property is large, clean and well equipped with en-suite bathrooms to three bedrooms inc a family bathroom, the children loved the play ground and collecting the eggs each day, Vic's time spent with the children was really appreciated answering all their questions and letting them feed the animals, we would certainly return.
Immaculate cottage, lovely farm location and very peaceful.
Vic is always on site if you need to ask anything, he also brought us a selection on fresh free range eggs from the farm which was lovely!
The full sky package and underfloor heating went down a treat too.
I would have given 5 stars if the bed had been a little bigger however. Myself and my husband are 6ft and 6ft5 respectively so having a King size bed would have been better but I suppose that is personal preference.
Would recommend the cottage to a small family or couple. We hope to bring friends with us next time and stay in one of the larger properties with a hot tub!
