About Rick and Lee Salazar
My wife and I are both retired. We live in Sherwood, AR., just 63 miles from the home across the street from the listed cabin, but we spend most of our time at the river. (The house was purchased in 2006). The cabin was built following the purchase of the land across the street and finished in August 2016. The cabin will also serve as a guest house on occasion. Building projects continue on the cabin land and will include a flat grass play area, a grass bocce ball court and a competition grade horseshoe pit. Note: We choose to only rent out this cabin when we are available to be in the area ourselves so we may serve the needs of those using the cabin. Of course we travel as well and may be out of town or out-of-pocket for periods of time as well.
Rick and Lee Salazar purchased this Cabin in 2016
Why Rick and Lee Salazar chose Heber Springs
My wife and I enjoy the river area and country setting of this area and wanted to share it with friends and family on occasion. We also choose to share and introduce this area to others by renting out the cabin as a way to meet and greet newcomers and frequent visitors to our favorite area in Arkansas.
What makes this Cabin unique
Obviously the feature of the area is the Little Red River. Although we as owners do not fish, we just enjoy the setting and location away from the city while encouraging others to enjoy the fishing. Cocktail time seems to be our favorite time of day as we watch the color changes from the sun as it sets to the west.

Red Oak Cabin
This is the first place that was as comfortable as home. Rick & Lee has thought of everything that you need and then some. I recommend that you give them a try.
If you are looking for a quiet place to unwind, this was it. Fishing across the street on the river. A wonderful place to just relax and read. We celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary.
If you are looking for a relaxing wonderful place, this is where you should go.
Renting was a snap. Prices were acceptable and all transactions were open and straight forward. Richard was always there to check if we needed anything. He even took us on a tour of the country side.
This was such a nice cabin. The owners Rick and Lee were great host .We didnt need anything they had everything you could possible need .We would definitely go back.
This is the second time we have stayed at this property. The Salazar’s have a great property. They are very accommodating and the cabin was spotless. We will be staying here again.
We loved it❤️
This was a truly outstanding cabin. My wife and I had four grandchildren here for a two night weekend getaway and a good time was had by all. The check in procedure was very pleasant. Rick, the owner, gave us a tour of the property and made us feel right at home. He even loaned us a soccer ball for the kids to play with. The cabin was well equipped and cozy. We especially enjoyed having the outdoor firepit and had fun bonfires at night and cooked over them. There were numerous hiking trails nearby which we really enjoyed. Overall it was a great experience and we look forward to renting this cabin again in the future! Mick and Lea Ann Robicheaux
Off of AR Hwy 337 with in the Little Dunham Subdivision. The one way in/out road is about 1/2 mile East of Wagon Circle RV Park. The cabin is about 3/4 miles in from the entry road.
