Our property is situated in a panoramic position on the lagoon and is convenient to all services towards the center of Venice to the islands of the estuary as Torcello and Burano. The newly built house has an apartment with a spacious and elegant living room-kitchen, a double bedroom a twin room and a bathroom. In the living room is a comfortable sofa bed for two children a 32-inch satellite TV and a kitchen complete with oven, refrigerator and freezer. The apartment is air conditioned and the living room leads to the large garden in front of the lagoon where you can have breakfast or dine quietly, there is also a barbecue with the agreement that you can use. The room has a wardrobe and a dresser with 6 doors, the bathroom has a shower, bidet and hair dryer. The apartment is 5 minutes walk to all points of interest such as: supermarkets, Coop and Despar, boarding for each destination, the glass museum, the Basilica St.Donato of the 7th century, church of St.Pietro with great paintings.
Venice is packed with tourists. This is a great place to retreat to and feel like a local. The other islands and airport are just a short ferry ride away. The art on display in Burano, including Giampaulo's, of course, is amazing.
Giampaulo was very accommodating, and we enjoyed our stay.
This was our very first time to Italy and we travelled with our 4 year old son. We stayed at Giampaolo's peaceful, clean, and artfully decorated place for 4 nights. We really wanted a "dolce vita" vacation, so staying on Murano during our Venice visit was the best decision ever. We got the 72 hour vaporetto pass and visited Burano and Torcello on our second day and visited Venice on our last 2 days there. Venice was crowded and overwhelmed our 4 year old son, so at the end of the day, he would always say he wanted to go "home" to Giampaolo's house.
There is a Coop supermarket in Murano by the Museo vaporetto stop where we would stop by in the evenings as well as a delicious gelateria tucked in a side street identified by a folding board sign out front (not the one by the bridge). Some nights we would walk back to the house alongside the water enjoying the view and peacefulness of Murano and other nights we would walk through the back streets and take our son to the lovely park and playground. The Venier stop is only a few minutes from the house, so we took the #3 vaporetto stop directly to Ferrovia to catch our train to Florence on our last day. Overall, we loved our visit to Venice mainly because we stayed at Giampaolo's place.
This place was exactly what we needed to start our tour of Italy. Giampaolo was very helpful and so nice. It looks just like the pictures and very clean. The bed was so comfortable. The location was great. You are so close to Venice but out of the tourist circle. We would, and have already, recommended this place to our friends who are headed to Venice soon.
I, my husband and nine year old daughter recently stayed in this property for one week. The description given on this website was very accurate and the property was very clean. Giampaolo and his wife were exceptional hosts who looked after us very well - we arrived on a Sunday after the local supermarket had closed so Giampaolo went to Venice to get us some food for breakfast. The location of the property is excellent with the vaporetto just taking 10-15 mins to get to Venice. Also the views from the garden are exceptional. We cannot fault this property and hope to return soon. Many thanks.
Had a 3 night break recently at the Garden Apartment. Giampaolo was a wonderful host and could not do enough for us. He even leant us his shopping trolley. It was nice to come back to a peaceful setting after a hectic time in Venice, which is only a 20 minute ferry journey. I would strongly recommend staying here.
We were so happy staying in Giampaolo's lovely apartment that we really hated to leave.
The place is spotless, perfectly appointed, had comfortable beds, and just outside the gate is the canal, with boats gently bobbing up and down. Walk along the Fondamente for just a few minutes and find shops, restaurants, wonderful gelato, the Co-op where one can buy everything for a fabulous home cooked meal. We loved, loved, loved it! The vaporetto is extremely convenient, just minutes and you are in Venice, but the pushing crowds stay there, and here in Murano.... ah, peace and quiet!
I particularly enjoyed the evening passagiata with the locals, and sitting with a scoop of limone gelato while sunset streaked the sky.
We can't wait for our next vacation, and thank you, Giampaolo, for being the perfect host!

Murano is an island of calm a stone's throw from Venice, the locals are friendly and helpful people. We see from the Glass Museum, the Basilica of St. Donato and the Church of St. Peter Martyr with paintings by Tintoretto, Veronese, and a magnificent Giovanni Bellini, then of course there are the factories of glass and glass sculptures in the streets, to see 'Hosanna' by Giampaolo Ghisetti owner of our facility. Murano is located in a strategic position because it is convenient to get to Venice and to visit the islands of the lagoon like Burano and Torcello. Our property is 5 minutes walk from supermarkets such as Coop or Despar, and 3 minutes from the embarkation for all directions.
