Would definitely stay here again for the location and a comfortable accommodation. Easy to Uber anywhere in the city. Perhaps these are unintentional oversights, but we were disappointed there was no soap for the showers (just liquid hand soap), hand towels or facecloths. Just two bath towels per bathroom.
Great location, but apartment itself is ok.
If you want a great location, this is a wonderful choice. There were many problems with the apartment, however, each one fairly minor, but taken together, it was frustrating that the owner charges so much for location. The kitchen and baths are new renovated and quite nice. It was billed as sleeping 6, but one of the bedrooms had a single bed with a mattress that pulled out on the floor. It really was suitable for a small child, not an adult. So, it really sleeps 5 adults comfortably. There was only one towel per person, and they were mismatched and somewhat thread bare. There were no wash clothes, no tissues. There was old food in the fridge and freezer (opened ice cream container, shrimp). Dishwasher had to be emptied. The building is quite old, and drafty. One bedroom was freezing, but when we turned up the thermostat, another bedroom was stifling hot. The locks on the outside doors were finicky. The hallway smelled HORRIBLE, like rotting garbage, for our entire 3-day stay. Neighbors had a loud party that went until 1 AM one night. They seemed to be young adults. The old wooden floors are charming, but we all kept catching socks and nicking feet on the nails popping out. Supplies were spotty in the kitchen, some great and some not so much.
Obviously, some of these complaints are not the fault of the owner (like loud party). However, I wish the listing had mentioned some of the above, as a warning (like charming but old building with quirks). Other things like sufficient towels, could easily be remedied by a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond.
In summary, these are picky complaints, but there were many little things. I’ve stayed in other rental properties that didn’t have so many small issues. BUT, the bottom line is that the location is fabulous, so these minor details can be overlooked.
Perfect location and beautiful home!
We had an amazing time at this home. We were three couples that came to town for a wedding. We could walk to everything in less than two to fifteen minutes. Only needed an Uber to get to the other side of town which was still less than a 10-15 minute drive. The property was extremely clean, bedrooms and bathrooms were well appointed and very comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you to the owners for the opportunity to share in their wonderful home.
We had a wonderful stay. The Condo was perfect. It had everything we needed. The close proximity to the downtown, convenience store across the street for shopping. Would definitely stay there again. The hostess was accommodating with our arrival and answered all our questions within a short period of time.
We were in town for a family reunion. The location couldn’t be better for enjoying Rittenhouse Square, all the wonderful shops and restaurants. The apartment was perfect with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. It was ideal for our family of 5. Most definitely will stay here again next time we are in Philadelphia!
Great location & accommodations
We'll definitely rent this one again.
