There were a few miscommunications due to host being out of town but once I got there it was a wonderful space. Easy to walk to places of interest
Light and airy accommodations in a quiet neighborhood far from hectic Central Area
Thank you for staying Cindy. So good to hear you enjoyed our housebaot on the canals of Amsterdam near to the city center but not in the hectic. Enjoy the summer.
Lovely host, great location. Close to transit so easy to get around the city.
simple and unique
Not a B&B, but a very clean, bright room on a houseboat, not too far out of the central area. Very comfortable bed. Good bathroom. Mini-fridge and tea and coffee maker. No kitchen facility. Very quiet late at night. Only a couple of downsides: no shelves, drawers or luggage stands so must live out of suitcases on floor. Just four hangers on a rack. No comfortable seating. Very nice neighborhood. And finally, while quiet late at night for sleeping, can be very noisy until about ten p.m. or so with very loud banging doors, etc. Very reasonable rates. Good for very short stay.
A relaxing setting in the center of it all!
Our host family was wonderful to us! Doet anticipated our needs and helped us feel comfortable in this very active city!
Just what we needed lovely home in a great location, lovely family and Pup too!
The accommodation was clean modern and fresh. Comfy bed and great shower.
Would recommend and would stay her again
BedonBoard light is a beautiful B & B with adjacent private bathroom in a new, spacious and modern houseboat
The room has a comfortable king-size bed (1. 80 x 2. 10) That can be converted into two separate beds, a modern bathroom with private toilet, shower and of course plenty of towels. There is a fridge, a water boiler and a coffee maker. On the water side there is a sliding tackle on the south west-allowing plenty of light into the room. There is a small table with two chairs where clause you can read, eat, write or use the wifi. You can ook sit outside the studio on the terrace at the entrance.
BedonBoard is located 500 meters from the heart of the Jordan, in the historic center of Amsterdam. The Jordaan is an area full of small restaurants, terraces, fun shops alternating with beautiful canals, small streets and with a variety of wonderful historic buildings. The Jordan borders on the well-known shopping area the Nine Little Streets (literally: Nine Little Streets) were you can find many usefull small shops and cozy restaurants.
Within walking distance you will find highlights like the Anne Frank House, the Wester Tower, the Dam Square, the Royal Palace and the Amsterdam Historic Museum. BedonBoard is easily reachable by car and public transport (see below under "Accessibility"), but once you're here, the Easiest Means of transportation is by bicycle (see tab "Bicycle rental").
The BedonBoard is a 10 minutes walk from the nicest shopping street in Amsterdam (and Awarded second best shopping street of the Netherlands, 2011): Haarlemmerdijk and about 15 minutes from Central Station or the Leidseplein.
It is a mere 500 meters walk to the beautiful North, and recently fully renovated Westerpark, also known as the "Culture Park" or Amsterdam. In Westerpark you will find a classic Victorian style park section, a large center section for cultural events and a more rugged part with trails for walkers or runners. Centrally located in the park you will find the Espressofabriek with simply the best coffee Amsterdam Has to sacrifice. Enjoy a superb breakfast in the nearby Bakkerswinkel. Every Sunday of the month there is a farmers market in the park. If you're looking for something very close to the BedonBoard, we recommend the Pavilion.
In summary, a peaceful but central location in a nice neighborhood in Amsterdam.
