Beautiful relaxing cosy barn

  • 5 of 5

We had a very relaxing stay at the barn, very warm in December with great underfloor heating, peaceful setting, all amenities provided. Great communication from owner with any questions. A lovely stay!

Great place in a beautiful location. Friendly welcome by Kay.

  • 4 of 5

The barn is well equipped and comfortable although we found some aspects of the kitchen area a little frustrating. (The oven seemed unpredictable!) Kay responds very quickly to any queries. We could have done with oven gloves but didn't think to ask for some. I'm sure Kay would have provided them if I had asked her. It was bitterly cold outside from our second day there but the underfloor heating is perfect and we never needed to light the wood burner. We loved watching birds and young deer in the adjacent field from the dining area.

The countryside and walking routes in the area are brilliant and easy to reach. It would be a perfect place to stay in the summer. We still walked out in the face of oncoming snow and were so pleased to get back to the lovely warm barn. The barn decor is homely and welcoming, not pristine, so it felt comfortable to take the dog into.

a beautiful, peaceful oasis in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We found exactly what we were looking for -a peaceful, country retreat where we could relax and re-connect with nature whilst also being able to entertain three teenagers. The barn is a superb, well furnished place to stay in an amazing setting -surrounded by fields and woodland with a stunning walled garden -and table tennis-all at our disposal. It's convenient for various places of interest, lovely local villages and towns and pubs for eating out.The weather was kind to us and it was tempting to just stay local but we had some great day trips visiting Brighton, Go Ape, Cranleigh, Shere, Dorking .The owners Kay and Stuart are really friendly and helpful and Milly the dog made us feel very special. We followed the week with a five day trip in London during which the kids said they wanted to be back in Surrey! We'll definitely be back. Thank you!

Lovely Barn Conversion

  • 3 of 5

- Lovely views

- Very kind owner

- Beautiful Barn Conversion

- Well equipped

- Close to main house, but enough privacy at the back of the barn

- Trampoline for the children

- Many flies in the kitchen area, hard to prevent

- The house is quite dusty (my daughter and I got a bit of an allergic reaction)

All in all we had a great week.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and I am happy you had a great week in the barn and thought the barn beautiful. It is a very special location that the photographs don't really capture the beauty of the views. I am sorry the flies were a bit of a problem that week, fortunately they disappeared as quickly as they arrived. We have also re sealed all exposed oak beams. We strive to have the highest standards and your feedback is very important to us. We love to see so many of our guests come back and enjoy the barn year after year and hope you and your family will return also.

Perfect peaceful holiday

  • 5 of 5

Lovely, spacious, well-equipped barn conversion in the middle of the Surrey hills. Owners were amazing and minor problems were solved very quickly. Added interest of trampoline and horses to visit made a 4 year old's week.
