Stunning location

  • 5 of 5

Had the most lovely week. Although the weather was not great the kids loved the table tennis and trampoline. The log fire was lovely in the evening. Due to storm we had no power. So we went out and owner kindly text me. When power went back on. Would certain to come back if we are planning another holiday in this part. Sorry to leave.

Fantastic Barn Conversion

  • 5 of 5

We had a great long weekend in the Barn in October 2015, the property is very tasteful yet robust enough to cope well with a toddler and two dogs. The rooms are generous in size and have a lovely outlook over the grounds. Kay was everything that you could ask for as a host/landlady/neighbour. We went on many beautiful walks, none of which were more than ten minutes away in the car. There are also lots of good pubs nearby. We will return to the Barn in the near future as there are countless more walks to do in the Surrey Hills. I would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful barn in amazing location

  • 5 of 5

We were awed upon arrival at the barn, from the sweeping tree lined drive we arrived upon a beautiful country barn complete with its own outside area and hammock! The inside was just as impressive - tastefully done up and plenty of space. Kay was brilliant, organised and very hospitable without being imposing. The kids were allowed to play on the trampoline (which we couldn't get them off) and we went for walks in the woodland and beautiful walled garden. The views from the barn are outstanding with deer coming right up the edge of the field in the evenings and mornings. We spent an idyllic week here and would highly recommend it, in fact we are sure to return.

The perfect country getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of spending a week at this lovely location! The renovation of the barn is fabulous with its exposed beams and openness! We loved every aspect of the house, the property and our surroundings! Kay and her family were delightful and provided everything we could have asked for.

The house is so beautifully located for anyone interested in exploring the Surrey Hills. In our short visit we climbed Holmbury Hill, Leith Hill, hiked around the area footpaths of Shere, Friday Street, Abinger Common and took in all that Mother Nature has to offer (a lot!!!) Its proximity to Dorking, Guilford and Cranleigh are perfect. We loved every pub in the area we tried...the food, drink and company were amazing. It must be said that this would be also be a great place to come relax and not leave the house if you wished. The views from the sofa and the beds are even delightful!

We don't often return to the same location, but we are looking forward to planning our next trip back here!!

A wonderful week in the woods

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a week at the barn with our 2 small children whilst considering relocating to the area. The barn itself is beautifully converted, well equipped and an absolute joy to stay in. The setting is beautiful, and although the barn benefits from its own external garden area, we were also welcomed to explore the wider setting at Hopedene Farm and spent a lot of time exploring the woods behind the house. The owners were very friendly and hospitable, and were happy to give us the benefit of their local knowledge. We loved the barn and did not want to leave!
