Kay is lovely and helpful. The boys loved all the animals and wildlife (deer) in the fields and playing in the woods. We would definitely stay here again.
The barn was simply wonderful. We had a long trip from Australia with flight delays which took 40 hours door to door. To be warmly greeted by Kay and her husband with additional supplies to get us through until the next day was fantastic. The barn itself is absolutely beautiful, it is warm and comfortable and the decor is stunning. There were 6 of us - my parents and our children and the barn was perfectly set up for us. The children loved the open space, the chickens following them around, the deers in the fields and this was topped off by the trampoline and ping pong table. It is a wonderful place to explore the Surrey Hills from, we also caught the train to London - only 50 mins form Dorking and drove down to the Isle of Wight. The barn was central to everything we wanted to do. We will definitely be back next time we are in the UK!
Kimberley, Eric and family
Had the most lovely week. Although the weather was not great the kids loved the table tennis and trampoline. The log fire was lovely in the evening. Due to storm we had no power. So we went out and owner kindly text me. When power went back on. Would certain to come back if we are planning another holiday in this part. Sorry to leave.
Stunning property in a beautiful location. Kay and her family were very welcoming and supplied everything we needed. We went on a lovely walk to Leith. I would highly recommend visiting and hope to come again. An excellent weekend break thank you.
We had a great long weekend in the Barn in October 2015, the property is very tasteful yet robust enough to cope well with a toddler and two dogs. The rooms are generous in size and have a lovely outlook over the grounds. Kay was everything that you could ask for as a host/landlady/neighbour. We went on many beautiful walks, none of which were more than ten minutes away in the car. There are also lots of good pubs nearby. We will return to the Barn in the near future as there are countless more walks to do in the Surrey Hills. I would highly recommend this property.
We were awed upon arrival at the barn, from the sweeping tree lined drive we arrived upon a beautiful country barn complete with its own outside area and hammock! The inside was just as impressive - tastefully done up and plenty of space. Kay was brilliant, organised and very hospitable without being imposing. The kids were allowed to play on the trampoline (which we couldn't get them off) and we went for walks in the woodland and beautiful walled garden. The views from the barn are outstanding with deer coming right up the edge of the field in the evenings and mornings. We spent an idyllic week here and would highly recommend it, in fact we are sure to return.
