Access to Club Solitude.
An un-rushed family-friendly resort experience where you can reconnect with family, friends and nature.
The condo was larger, cleaner and in better condition than I expected. Approximately 200 yard walk to the lifts. Access to Club Solitude also nice, outdoor heated pool, billiards, movies and work out area all nice. Three or four small restaurants within 3 minute walk of the condo. Free parking in the basement of building also nice. Solitude is a smaller size resort, but good skiing for beginners or families. Highly recommend this condo.
Powderhorn condos at Solitude is a great location with many amenities. It is very family friendly with nightly entertainment for the younger ones-we all particularly enjoyed the magic show and creature encounters! Everything you need is a short stroll away: rentals, lift tickets, restaurants, clubhouse, etc. Our particular until was cozy, clean, well-equipped and had comfortable beds. The only thing I could suggest that would have helped would be to have more hangers in the closets. Storage for all the clothing and gear is limited so to be able to hang more items would have helped. Having ski lockers on the first floor was easy and convenient as well-we walked right out the door and onto the slopes. We used the shuttle service and public bus transportation to go to Brighton for a day. We had 4 feet of fresh snow the week we were there and couldn't have asked for a better vacation. We would definitely recommend this location and particular unit. We are a family of three. Thank you-we will be back!
Everything that was advertised for the property was in order. Although the unit is capable of sleeping 6, it would probably not be adequate for 2 or 3 "couples" as there is only one bedroom. Very well suited for 6 buddies or a couple with 1-4 children. The only thing that I think that could be added to make a stay more pleasant is a humidifier or 2 as the air is particularly dry in the winter months. Otherwise, I highly recommend a stay here. Also, the owner was accommodating and very easy to work with.
My son and I visited Solitude 2/5/17 - 2/10/17. This was his first trip out west and it was a huge success. Every detail was shared in advance by the unit owner. Parking under the unit was great. Ski lockers downstairs...very, very short walk to the lifts, ski shop, lift tix...we also really enjoyed skiing Solitude and spent a day/evening at Brighton. Solitude = NO LIFT lines at all. Terrain is varied and challenging for everyone. Highly recommend this unit
Nice condo for our family, 2 adults and 3 kids. The ski lift was within 150 yards of our building which was really convenient. The amenities were nice and appreciated, heated pool, hot tub, games, etc. Only negatives we're some of the plates, cups and silverware were not very clean. We also did not have any dishwasher soap (which we ended up purchasing). Not a big deal something to point out. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would do it again.
If you like skiing or snowboarding, it's hard to find a better place than Solitde. We had a group of 3 guys, Kevin's place worked out perfect. It felt almost like 3 rooms, with 1 in livingroom, 1 in den and 1 in bedroom. Split time between Solitde, Brighton, and backcountry, had a blast as we always do visiting Big Cottonwood.
