My family and I spent 4 nights from Dec 22-26, 2016. The condo was clean and well kept. We had everything we needed to cook most of our meals for the holiday. Kevin, the owner, was easy to work with and incredibly responsive. The location was quiet. I have skied at Solitude for years. The resort is a very quiet, family oriented place. There is plenty to do with the kids including a pool and hot tubs, ice skating, and a game room etc. Don't expect to being going out on the town. I highly recommend the yurt dinner, but book well in advance as space is limited. And, the skiing is great. It never seems crowded, even during the holiday week.
Nice unit with a master bedroom that also includes 2 queen sofa beds. The unit is spacious for a small family. Great location. Owner was extremely helpful, always available. He supplied toilet paper, paper towel, some cleaning products and cooking basics. Not five stars only because unit needs to have the carpet deep cleaned/changed and unit could be updated.
Our family of four had a wonderful stay at this property. A very responsive owner with a well-appointed and clean condo. Was it overly fancy? Not really. Did it have everything we needed? Definitely! Very convenient to slopes, pool, and hot tub. If you're there to enjoy the outdoor activities Big Cottonwood has to offer, look no further! We would stay there again.
My wife and 10 year old had a great time at Solitude, and Powderhorn was 1 minute from restaurants and the ski shop and maybe 2 or 3 to the Apex lift. The location was perfect. Inside the unit, everything was as advertised and we had no problems...and the owner was responsive to the two questions we had. The only reason that this was not a five star was that the unit is probably due for an update, but that's a nitpick. Enjoy....I recommend it for a small family.
Nice location nit very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen easy in and out. We had a great stay and the Utah winter dumped 50" in three days we will be back
I am a firm believer in You Get What You Pay For and this affordable condo was a great surprise. The size and location were great (snow covered path made it ski in/ski out) and the added value of the Club amenities was very impressive. There were professional free kid shows each night we were there (science night and creature encounter night) as well as kid movie in the theater room, the ice skating and swimming right out the front door gave us plenty to do after a fun day of skiing. The ascetics of the condo were a bit dated, but I don't really care about that and had fun watching a VHS movie with my kids! Wifi worked great~ I would highly recommend this to any family!
