2 bedrooms 1.5 bathrooms, Lounge/Diner, Kitchen, Covered Terrace

This is a beautifully appointed first floor apartment in a small residential block minutes from the sea front and all the bars and restaurants. The apartment has been decorated to an extremely high standard. The floors are cream marble with underfloor heating, keeping it very warm in the winter months and cool in the summer. There is air conditioning throughout. A communal pool is within the grounds, which is accessed either through the garage or via a separate gate. There is cable T.V and a Radio/CD player. The naya, which is an enclosed balcony, has full length sliding windows which can be easily opened to let in the summer breeze.

The kitchen is very well equipped with cooker, dishwasher, microwave and large fridge freezer. There is also an iron and ironing board. The roof terrace (communal) has magnificent views over the bay of Javea and Montgo, this is accessed from a door on the third floor and can be used for sunbathing and also hanging washing or a sundowner.

Within minutes of leaving the apartment, you are in the hub of the Port area which has a very Spanish feel and where many locals live and work. You will mainly hear Spanish spoken in the Port, although they do try hard to understand English and the younger ones speak a little. There are two supermarkets in the Port one called 'Mas y Mas' where all items can be bought. There is a larger supermarket called 'Mercadona' which is located between the Port and the Arenal. Mercadona delivers and you can order on line prior to your stay for about 4 euros delivery charge. There is a pharmacy round the corner and they do speak English. The tap water throughout Javea is extremely clean and can be used for drinking, although many people still prefer to drink the bottled water which is about 1 euro for 8 litres. Wine is inexpensive and ranges from 80 cents upwards. A fairly nice wine will only cost about 2 euros making it easy to open that second bottle at the end of the evening.

At the end of the road is the sea front where there are many small restaurants on the pedestrian promenade overlooking the sea making it an idyllic place to sit. Many offer a menu del dia which is a three course meal often with wine included, these range from about 13 euros to 16 euros plus. It is often advisable to reserve a table in the months of July and August. At the end of July the fiesta in Javea Port is 'Moros y Cristianos' which is the Moors and the Christians where they reenact battles and have numerous parades in which everyone is dressed in fantastic costumes. The streets are closed to vehicles during the large Fiesta. The costumes are magnificent and they spend all year making them in preparation for the following fiesta. They are certainly worth seeing and it appears that the entire community get involved including families of all generations. It is certainly not to be missed and the Port stays alive most of the night with a brilliant firework display at the end of each evening. The locals are really friendly and go out of their way to make visitors very welcome. However it is a noisy week so should be avoided if you are looking for some quiet time.

Javea or Xabia as locals call it is split into three areas. Javea Pueblo or the Old Town, Puerto de Javea, the Port and Playa de Arenal, the beach area. The Old town is well worth a visit and is steeped in history There is a local market held every Thursday where fresh produce can be bought as well as souvenirs. The church of San Bartolome dominates the centre of javea Town and is surrounded by cobbled streets, bars and restaurants where you can sit watching the locals enjoying life.

The Arenal or beach area is large wide sandy beach with a Blue Flag. It is a shallow beach making it safe for small children and is surrounded by a large promenade with numerous bars and restaurants and many discotheques.

Just 8 kms south of Arenal is Cabo de la Nao which sits high on the cliff affording stunning views as far as Ibiza on a clear day. Javea has a 9 hole golf course which is open to the public and an 18 hole course can be found in Denia.

Javea really is a most beautiful area with breathtaking views and as much or as little to do as you wish. Happy holiday!

Why Elaine chose Javea, Moraira and Denia Area

The reason why we love this property, is that it is so near the Port which means an easy wonder to the shops, bars and restaurants. It really is the ideal location and having an underground garage means parking is never a problem.

What makes this apartment unique

We have a small sea view from the Naya and love spending time watching the yachts sailing by. Being a small residential building, means it is exceptionally quiet. The beautiful pool is seldom used by the residents, so it feels like your own private space, especially out of season.

Comfy homely acommodation - bright and clean

The apartment was very comfortable and homely , clean and well-maintained.

Close enough to the sea front restaurants etc., to walk back at night too. We would recommend it to anyone like us who wanted to be away from the busy port area but only a short walk away.

Yvette was friendly and helpful too.

Our favourite restaurant is La Bodeguilla on the walking part of the sea front, but there are many more. If you want a great view it's worth going to Hotel Javea 5th floor restaurant - also has good food at a good price.

Great apartment in Javea Port

We had a wonderful stay in Javea. The apartment is as described and it looks even better than we had expected from the photos. Having stayed in some other home and away properties I was very impressed with how clean this apartment was (and it had lovely bedding and towels). The owner was very helpful before we went answering all our questions and then followed up with an email when we got home to see how we had found things. We were met by a lovely lady who showed us around the apartment, gave us the keys and was our point of contact over there (although we didn't need her). It is very close to the port (few minutes walk). There are good restaurants in the port and a little supermarket which is handy. I would definitely return to this apartment.

Fabulous place. NOT a typical holiday apartment.

Lucky us!! Make no mistake, this is a luxury apartment. Although bedrooms are compact, the lounge/Diner and covered balcony give plenty of space for everyday use. Marble floors with underfloor heating make life in the winter evenings really cosy. English TV stations. Javea is a delightful place. In the winter, you can get around easily, time and space for sightseeing, and although some restaurants are closed, most in the Port are open all year. We love it here, and will continue to revisit time and again. We have been to cheaper apartments but in comparison, they are very poor. The photos of this apartment tell the story. It's a great apartment, and I can't imagine anyone could be anything but overjoyed on opening the front door, and seeing the apartment for the first time. If all properties for rent were like this.

Wonderful apartment in central location

This well appointed 1st floor apartment is situated in the lovely Port area of Javea. The apartment itself is well maintained and was beautifully clean and prepared for our arrival. We were met by Yvette who handed us the keys and showed us around the apartment. It has everything you need and more for a great holiday including a washing machine and dishwasher. it is only a short walk to the stony beach and the many restaurants and bars which line the Port area. A 40 minute walk in the opposite direction will take you to the Arenal area of the resort which has many more restaurants and shops but is more commercial and less traditionally Spanish than the Port area of Javea. So if a self catering holiday in a typical Spanish town is what you're looking for than this lovely apartment is for you. Elaine the owner was quick to respond to the initial enquiry and professional and friendly throughout.Highly recommended.

Bright, Clean and very comfortable flat

The apartment ticks every box. Sunny, bright, very clean, comfortable, a home from home. Positioned in a central location within easy walking distance of beach bars, food stores, the port. This is our 2nd stay. The owner is friendly and really tries to ensure your stay is happy.

This lovely apartment is situated in the Port of Javea. The Port, or Puerto as it is known to the locals, is a favourite area with fascinating charm factor. This is an area where many locals live and has a real Spanish feel. Fisherman bring their daily catches to the Port and fresh fish can be bought direct from the quay side. There are many lovely shops including a supermarket and numerous small bars and restaurants many being on the pedestrian promenade minutes walk from the apartment where one can eat 'al fresco' watching the sea lapping against the shore. The main Landmark at the Port is the church of Our Lady of Loreto, its roof imitating the hull of a ship, services are held daily and the clock strikes the hour which can be heard throughout the Port. The pebbled beach is a favourite with locals and their families and is a short level distance from the apartment making it easy to wander down without the need of a car. The Port is very popular with all age groups as everything is on the flat and has everything you would need for an ideal holiday without having to go further afield.

However, for the more adventurous there are many wonderful places to visit including the Old Town which is about a ten minute walk from the Port and is a typical Spanish town with very narrow streets and some wonderful architecture. In the other direction is the Arenal which is the beach area which is far more commercialized and geared for the tourists. This is about 2 kms from the Port walking along the sea front.

The Costa Blanca has a magnificent coast line with stunning views and many other picturesque towns and villages nearby.
