This property is beautiful and a wonderful place to stay. We arrived quite late from Split and Magda was waiting for us patiently at her restaurant Roko - great food and highly recommended. A huge amount of food was provided to ensure we could get started and nothing was a problem for Magda.
It is a reasonable distance from the main town of Podgorica so a challenge to walk but the views from this property and the peace and quiet are adequate compensation.
We would highly recommend this property - we are sad to leave.
Douglas Mills and family from Australia.
We had an amazing 12 nights stay. Magda and Alan are the perfect hosts and always had time for us despite the busiest time at their restaurant Roko which is definitely worth a visit too. The food was exquisite. The views are stunning from the poolside and the house is a delight with the shutters open on the cooler days, When I say cooler - late 20s early 30s! Interior is beautiful but most importantly functional with throws so nothing is too precious, but very comfortable. Bikes on tap for the more adventurous but very hilly so beware and best to go out before the heat of the day. Plenty to see and do in Croatia when you can tear yourself from the tranquil poolside. Kra falls, Dubrovnik, Islands Zip wires. Even moved me to poetry, Hopefully we will be back
Rugged rocks, the whitened stone,
Amongst the beauty of the olive groves:
Croation coast, oh you can boast:
Dalmatia you are the perfect host!
Adriatic blue, so crystal too;
Amid the mountain vistas true.
Flotillas sail, Dubrovnik bound,
Or find Hvar, the idyll harbour sound;
Brac, with Zlatni Rac, to stroll around,
Paradise in the islands found!
Nestled in Pogdora old, is the
Villa in Krzanici.
Shutters green, this utter scene,
Of bliss, a blessed dream.
With terraced pool for relaxation;
Or endless paths and bikes for exploration!
Swallows flit and dance, as in a trance:
Dip and dive to drink and prance,
Til blown by Bora wind off course,
In search of purest water source!
Luxurious space, to rest unwind.
Leaves Croatian love entwined:
A visit to this Croatia a must
In Magda we certainly trust!
Thanks for beautiful song ! It was nice to have You all as a guests!😘
We have just returned from a fantastic 9 nights at this villa. It is an exceptional property with stunning sea views. The villa was extremely clean upon arrival. It is light, bright, spacious and very comfortable with tasteful furnishings. The beds were very comfortable too and the bathroom was gorgeous and also benefitted from a power shower. The washing machine was also a bonus. The outside areas and pool are all gorgeous and we were encouraged to pick fruits etc from the local orchard which was fabulous!
The owners are so kind and helpful and Magda even helped us to organise a boat trip to see the nearby islands. Podgara itself is lovely as is the nearby resort of Tucepi. Roko Restaurant is lovely and the food and staff are all excellent. One night we were even treated to free drinks and Magda allowed us to reserve a sea front table. A car is essential for this villa as the walk back from Podgora and the beach is all uphill and very steep and would not be recommended at night
Try the white water rafting with Split Adventure - great fun and gorgeous scenery
We had a brilliant time and Croatia and this villa are both beautiful!
A perfect getaway in a tranquil Croatian paradise!
When we read the reviews for this villa before booking we almost thought it sounded too good to be true but our week at the villa completely exceeded all our expectations!
Magda & Alan provided us with the warmest welcome despite us a arriving very late in the evening & had stocked up the fridge with the essentials to refuel after our long journey.
The villa is in a beautiful remote setting up in the hills, a short drive from the main town of Podgora (car hire is needed). The peaceful setting with surrounding fruit trees and spectacular views of the sea made it a wonderfully relaxing stay. Magda and Alan let us know we could pick fruits from the trees which we would have gladly done but Alan's cousin beat us too it and came and offered us a bowl of figs he had just freshly picked - delicious!!
The villa is well equiped, we had some lovely dinners at the villa with the boys getting stuck into the outdoor brick oven. We also ate at Magda & Alan's restaurant twice because it was so lovely - fantastic food & service by the water. They were always so helpful with recommendations for what do in the area but also for our next stop in Dubrovnik.
Overall, the villa exceeded our expectations, in part due to our fantastic hosts Magda & Alan. I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here to my family & friends and very much hope we can go back on day!

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Roko. Magda and Alen were perfect hosts and could not have been more helpful. We ate many times at their restaurant on the beachfront, the food was lovely and they have excellent staff who are friendly and very knowledgable of the local area. The Villa is beautiful. Decorated to a high specification, clean and crisp. Stunning views of both the sea and the mountains behind. We visited both Dubrovnik and Split, a drive away but worth it. We also had a very enjoyable boat trip to a couple of the nearby islands.
Magda and Alen are lovely people and I would recommend this Villa to friends and family.
Croatia is beautiful. We had a great holiday.

A superbly appointed villa in a quiet rural location, finished to a nice standard - well done Magda and Alan.
Had a great time just relaxing with the family. Would defiantly recommend for either a quiet getaway and or a base to explore the area.
