This charming South Kensington home, located moments away from the opulent Brompton Road, will greet you warmly with its traditionally English interior. This property boasts an elegant décor brimming with antiques, sumptuous oil paintings and soft furnishings. The perfect property for a family, or couples, seeking to explore London whilst residing in the lap of luxury.

Living & Eating

This beautiful holiday home is rich in character and period features, with a wooden-floored living room. Expect an elegant living area, complete with a beautiful fireplace. A separate fully equipped kitchen adjoins a well-lit dining room with table to seat 6 guests. There is also a delightful private patio on the ground floor and, the added luxury, of a private wood-paneled terrace on the top floor.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

The master bedroom, with an ornate four-poster canopy king size bed (5ft wide) bed and chest of drawers for storage, is sublime. A second bedroom houses a king size bed (5ft wide) and plenty of storage space. The main bathroom is complete with toilet, basin and wood-paneled bath. The second bathroom has a toilet, basin and stand-up shower unit.

Access & Layout

This home is set over three floors with two flights of stairs within the property. Please bear in mind the house contains various precious ornaments and works of art.

On your doorstep

Located moments away from the opulent Brompton Road with its abundance of cafes, shops, artisan bakeries and delicatessens, the list of local amenities is endless. With a 10/15 minute walking radius you have Harrods, the Museums, the Kings Road, Sloane Square and countless other upmarket delights, this is the perfect base for a London adventure. Daphne’s restaurant is around the corner from Donne Place, a fantastic Italian restaurant frequented by well-heeled clientele, known for people watching and classic cuisine. Head to Bibendum, a five minute walk away, which offers a classic French menu and fantastic oyster bar, on the first floor of the iconic Michelin Building, an Art Nouveau masterpiece, a truly spectacular dining room. You are a short walk from the Duke of York Square with its abundance of shops, restaurants and of course the famous Saatchi Gallery which offers spectacular exhibitions. And don’t forget the brilliant museums of South Kensington including the Victoria&Albert Musuem and the Natural History Museum, both housed in architecturally spectacular buildings, the most fantastic way to spend a rainy London day.

About Ivy Lettings


We are a small agency with a big reputation. Established in 2009, our goal was to accommodate short stay visitors to London in a portfolio of London homes, which we personally selected for their warmth and character. We seem to have struck a chord: to date we have accommodated several thousand guests in our 75 properties and we're growing apace. Today our tenant base comprises tourists, business travelers and native Londoners who need short term accommodation for whatever reason.


We take it personally: we are a small team and you will deal directly with a polite, efficient and enthusiastic human being from initial enquiry through to check out. We are all English and we run our business from Chelsea, London which means that we're within easy reach of all our properties and we know this city like the backs of our hands, which counts for a lot when you're asking our advice about where to stay or need to know the advantages of one spot over another. Like most of our clients, we all have families and pride ourselves on our ability to cater to travelers with children. We care: we stake our reputation on our clients' experiences with us. What makes this house unique

This home is brimming with unique character. From the four-poster bed to the wood-panelled bath it will transport you back in time in the most elegant of ways. Choose your favourite between the private patio and the wooden terrace. Enjoy some hot cocoa as you relish in the joys of a working fireplace. The final touch is the gloriously bright dining room table that is flooded with light from the small conservatory roof and a pair of double glass doors.

We found the townhouse to work well for three adults looking for a convenient location in the South Kensington/Chelsea area. Kitchen well-equipped, all appliances worked well, location ideal for access to Tube Stop and within walking distance of numerous restaurants, shops and major museums. The experience was enhanced by antique furnishings and artwork which decorated the walls.

World Famous Museums

The Natural History Museum, The Victoria & Albert Museum and The Science Museum are all on your doorstep. Visit the lesser known Mosaic Rooms, which hosts beautifully curated exhibits of Islamic art and culture.

Royal Gardens

Kensington Palace, home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, is surrounded by acres of beautiful parkland. Lay out a rug in front of the Palace gates and enjoy one of the best picnic spots in London. From Kensington High Street, walk up Kensington Palace Gardens - known as Billionaire's Row - and admire the Embassy mansions and private homes of the uber-wealthy. Take high tea (with or without Champagne) at the Kensington Orangery for the full English experience.


The Deli Bar makes a great full English breakfast. Kensington Square Kitchen is a very pretty brunch spot that celebrates British, seasonal produce. Tom's Kitchen, run by celebrity chef Tom Atkins, is another institution of British cooking and makes extraordinarily fluffy pancakes.

Lunch & Dinner

For a great bistro with a relaxed atmosphere, try Chez Patrick. Balan's of Earls Court has one of the best Sunday lunches in London. We also recommend 222 Veggie Vegan for plentiful, award-winning food.

Pubs and Bars

There's almost too many good pubs in the area. Our favourite are The Colton Arms, The Drayton Arms, The Queen's Arms or The Abingdon for a typically British local pub experience. If you want more than pint, the Harwood Arms serves Michelin starred food.

For a taste of the high-life head to Babylon at the Roof Gardens, 100m above Kensington High Street.


High Street Kensington has it all - department stores, major fashion labels and smaller boutiques tucked away up side streets.
