Why Guy van der Westhuizen chose Knightsbridge

With its secluded and peaceful location in a mews in the heart of Knightsbridge, this property is beautiful in both style and character. Within walking distance from the splendid Hyde Park, the exclusive Harrods department store and the Museums it really is a perfect base for exploring the best of London.

Guestbook comments from the manager

My wife and I spent 2 wonderful weeks at Ennismore Garden Mews. It was our second visit. The living room is very spacious and with lovely proportions. The bedroom is very comfortable and the bathroom and shower are great. The kitchen is compact, but fully functional. The actual Mews is a lovely cobbled road with very quiet with little traffic . The location is superb with 3 tube stops within easy walks as are 3 world class museums, Hyde Park and of course Harrods.

Ivy Lettings do a great job of making sure that the administration is smooth and everything is organized just right for your arrival. They are also readily available if questions crop up.

Great apartment and location

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was well maintained, clean and very comfortable in a quiet neighborhood. A short walk to the underground, a variety of restaurants, museums and shopping options. We had a marvelous time during our 8-day stay in London.

Favorable neighborhood and a friendly yet unobtrusive host.

  • 4 of 5

Charming flat - performance and character as advertised. Alas, the beloved neighborhood pub, Tea Clipper, is no more.

Happy week in London

  • 4 of 5

All of the arrangements worked very smoothly. We were met on time and given the keys and relevant instructions.

Location is terrific; walking distance for restaurants, shopping, museums, and transportation. Apartment was cozy and comfortable.

Only drawbacks were - no locking door between landing and the apartment (owner lives downstairs and was home during most of our stay; didn't come upstairs but we could hear activity at various hours); kitchen is quite small (perfectly fine for handling breakfast and snacks but no more than that).

Being in the Mews we were out of the noise and bustle of traffic in the main streets nearby and loved the cobblestone street and quaintness. Great place to relax in between ventures out in town.

Lovely stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at this property. The street is quaint and quiet, location right near the museums in South Kensington.

Please note ~ you must carry suitcases up quite a few stairs...ok for us..but do note.

Clean..well kept..as in photos. Our niece slept very comfortably in pull out sofa, and we very comfortably in main bed.

Would return absolutely....

A lovely mews flat. It could use brighter lighting in the living room for evening reading,

  • 5 of 5

A lovely place in a quiet location close to everything. If you arrive by tube at South Ken, follow signs for museums to the very end of a long underground walkway. You are then just about opposite the entry to the mews and the flat is 5 minutes away

Knightsbridge’s main draw is the shopping – it is the site of London's most famous store and rich man's playground, Harrods, which most visitors sensibly enjoy more as an attraction than a retailer. Any committed shopper will enjoy browsing the stores (or perhaps just store windows) of the area's international fashion houses or London-based designers. These shops prey on Knightsbridge’s wealthy and fashionable sets, and reflect the fact that it is one of London’s most desirable locales. Architecturally, the same residential features unite Knightsbridge and Belgravia – broad leafy streets, stucco squares, cobbled pastel mews, and an aristocratic feel exuded by large townhouses flanked by wide-set columns. In the same vein, centrally located but infinitely more affordable, sits Pimlico. The area is perfectly situated to reach central London, enjoying beautiful views across the river to Battersea and almost personal access to Buckingham Palace and Westminster.
