Ty Hwnt is an upside down house originally used as a stable block. The property is in the centre of the village (on the road running up the side of the village hall) making everything a very short walk away including both main beaches being less than 2 minutes walk away.
The detached house has extensive private off-road parking for a number of cars & use of 1 garage for wet suits, boards etc. There are 4 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms (including the wet room) - most of the accommodation is upstairs which should be taken into consideration when booking.
The open-plan upstairs area is large, bright, airy & spacious enough to accommodate 8 people. The kitchen has the usual amenities including dishwasher and there is a 2nd fridge under the stairs (both with freezer boxes). With Unlimited broadband, ipod docking station, TV with in-built DVD plus a magnificent wood burner & south facing balcony (which gets the sun from early morning to late night making al-fresco dining at any time of day a joy) with views to the sea & Llyn Peninsular this is a lovely holiday home.
A big feature of this property is the sizable wet-room. With an outside tap you can walk off the beach, hose off the sand outside & wash your feet in the 'dunking bucket', walk into the wet-room in your wet suits or bathing costumes and into one of the two showers. With underfloor heating and two large electric towel rails, plus plenty of hanging space, the wet-room and any wet clothes will dry quickly. There is also a full length heated mirror which won't mist up during showers. A WC with separate washbasin is also part of the wet-room. Leading into this room is the laundry area with washing machine and industrial size stainless sink for rinsing and washing clothes and costumes. A clothes line is provided to enable wet suits to be hung outside, or alternatively put in the garage, to dry.
Bedding is provided but guests are requested to bring their own towels please.
Chiminea, outside table and chairs and charcoal BBQ are also provided.
Bright open plan upstairs accommodation is perfect for families and the balcony, with views to the peninsular, provides plenty of space to spread out whilst at night the wood burner provides a warm cosy environment.

This lovely holiday house is set in a fantastically beautiful part of North Wales.
The accommodation offered more than most, with balcony, log burning stove, fitted kitchen and an impressive large shower wet room.
We all had a wonderful time and would love to return one day

A lovely clean, light, airy house, beautifully equipped with everything you could need for your holiday. The location is perfect for being both central to the village and close to the beach so you can walk everywhere. It was lovely having access to the garage to store sporting equipment and a wet room to change straight into a warm shower off the beach. The owner Mark was very helpful and responded quickly to booking enquires, he was also really accommodating with arrival/departure requests. A brilliant place to stay for all of us, the children, dog, parents and grandparents could all make the most of the facilities in both the house and the wonderful Rhosneigr. I would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay here, very grateful to the owner for accommodating extra family staying at short notice. All was modern, clean and tidy. Balcony great for quiet reading, open plan living for family time, small but no problem bedrooms and favourite room for all, one enormous family bathroom! Local library is just yards away with convenience shops, PO, chemist, fashion and gift shops just a bit further and miles of beach just that bit further, time for the sand to drop off! We appreciated the secure garden and the option to use certain items in the garage but the greatest gift for the two year old was a tractor in the garden! (No, we didn't let him play on it!) We hope to be back soon.
We stayed at the property for a week over October half term complete with 5 children and a dog. The house had sufficient room for all of us and space to get away in each of the bedrooms. The downstairs wet room was a great facility and prevented any messy children or clothes getting into the house. The bedrooms were all warm and comfortable and the kitchen diner provided sufficient space for us to spread around eat. The lounge area offered lots of seating for us all to watch DVD's in comfort.
The property was very well kept and obviously a home to the owner rather than a business. The owner Mark offered great customer service and went out of his way to be helpful in organising our stay.
Sadly we were not able to use the outside balcony Wales in October was not conducive to outside dining.
The garden was fenced with a lawned area which the boys and the dog got plenty of use from.
The short walk to Rhosneigr beaches and the village centre was fantastic and meant no driving and we were still able to enjoy all the natural beauty that the area offered and wander into the village centre with consummate ease.
All in all a fantastic location, great property and plenty for all the family to do without having to travel very far !!!!! We would love to return.
We enjoyed a really wonderful week at Ty Hwnt with 3 generations of our family (youngest 3 months to eldest 85 years!) We were lucky enough to have a few really beautiful days weather wise and Ty Hwnt was the perfect spot to explore the Rhosneiger beaches and then watch the sun set from the balcony. It was wonderful to have the whole family sitting around the dining room table to eat or play games. Mark, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful in helping us arrange our stay and sending us our lost property once we'd left. I'd firmly recommend!
Very nice property. Clean,well maintained, well equipped and excellent location for Rhosneiger and the surrounding areas.

We would recommend this house to others and will strongly consider returning ourselves.
Rhosneiger is a great place to stay with beautiful beaches a 5 minute walk from the house.Shops are also close by, less than 5 minutes.
If eating out we would recommend Sandy's Bistro, we have eaten here on a number of occasions over the last few years and always enjoyed the food there.
Will's Bar at the Oyster catcher is worth a visit and the bar prices are the same as any pub.
Other pubs to go to are the Sandymount Club the Y Morfa and the Glan Neigr which is 2 minutes from the house.The Glan Neigr serves food which is good pub grub, reasonably priced with good service.
The chip shop is good but it is not open very late and chip portions a little on the small side.
There is a good Indian restaurant/takeaway 15 minutes drive away at RAF valley called Rozi's.
All in all a very nice place to stay for a family group we had a great week.

Rhosneigr, on the west coast of Anglesey North Wales, is a beautiful village with many attractions. Lovely award winning sandy beaches, rock pools, gently sloping beaches providing safe swimming, long beautiful beach walks in opposite direction, fresh water lake with scenic walk around it and of course stunning views of Snowdonian mountain range and the Llyn Peninsular.
The village also benefits from the usual amenities such as pubs, cafes, restaurants, post office, clothes and souvenir shops and beach side shop selling buckets and spades, wet suits, wind-surfing and kite-surfing gear etc. There is also a self service launderette although the property does have a washing machine.
Rhosneigr is especially popular with sea faring folk and is well respected for sailing, power-boats, wind & kite surfing, land yachts etc.
With easy access to Holyhead, Llangefni, Beaumaris, Menai Bridge and Bangor and of course the attractions of Pili Palace (butterflies) and the Anglesey Sea Zoo, Rhosneigr is an ideal place to base yourself when exploring all that Anglesey and North Wales has to offer.
There is a Large Tesco, Morrisons and Homebase at Holyhead with another large Tesco, B&Q, Next, Argos (& MacDonalds) etc at Bangor although Tesco do deliver to this property.
