After a warm welcome, we were given all sorts of helpful information about the Attic Apartment, and the area. There was fresh food and beverages waiting for us. We were so grateful after long travel there. The owner was available at any time for questions.. the photos do not truly show how lovely, clean, and perfect The Attic Apartment is. My daughter slept in the bedroom. I was very comfortable on the living room pull out bed. My teenage son was quite comfortable on the red couch.
Was very short walk to a lovely beach, and the rest of waterfront of restaurants, shopping. Everything was walking distance. We loved our ferry day trip to Portofino. It was not too crowded in Rapallo at all for summer. We found the Cinque Terre very crowded the following week. We missed The Attic and Rapallo soon as we left.
We will definitely be back to The Attic apartment, and to see owner again. Lovely woman. Friends for life!
From the moment we made our booking, the owners Maria and Franca have been so helpful and welcoming. We were met outside and introduced to the attic which was exactly like the photos but with toiletries, milk, wine, focaccia and many other supplies all here. The bus is at the door and we are 2 minutes from the beach. Maria’s recommendations for shopping, restaurants etc were terrific. The apartment has balconies , air con and a lift. It is very quiet and yet in the heart of things. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Thank you Maria.
Fantastic Stay in Beautiful Apt!
We stayed for a week in Franca's lovely apartment! We were met and escorted to our building, shown all the pertinent information we needed to ensure a great stay, including how to operate all appliances, given a folder with precise instructions, along with helpful information regarding shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. A wonderful assortment of guide books, train and bus info made it easy to plan day trips. The apartment was spotlessly clean and cozy. The bed was super comfortable and the Nepresso coffeemaker supplied us with wonderful morning coffee. Franca had thoughtfully supplied us with a huge platter of fresh fruit, soft drinks, waters, and a very welcome bottle of bubbly, not to mention a platter of freshly made foccacia!
Questions were answered promptly from the beginning of the booking process through checkout----no question was too trivial for our lovely landlady------we will be back and recommend this lovely place to our friends!
Dearest Dianne and Jim, it was a great pleasure to get to know you and welcome you. Thank you very much for having written this beautiful and useful review. I look forward to warmly hosting you again. All the best, Franca and Maria
I cannot rate The Attic, or its owners, highly enough, it really was a perfect stay and we didn't want to leave....ever! If it hadn't already been booked, I would be returning in August with my daughter, it is that idyllic. From the moment we made contact with the delightful Franca and her daughter, Maria, we knew we were in good hands and they were so efficient and charming in all our communications, answering our questions and advising us on how to get there/recommending a boat hire company etc. Maria personally met us outside the building and spent a long time going through her many organized files of what to see/best restaurants and cafes/how to work everything in the apartment etc. The Attic is light, spacious and tastefully decorated, with so many personal little touches and basic kitchen ingredients/bathroom supplies to use as we wished, right down to Q-tips, shampoo, insect repellent and cotton wool. There were fresh flowers, a huge bowl of exotic fruit with delicious foil wrapped nougat sweets, fresh pizza and foccacia provided for our lunch, coffee capsules, a fridge stocked with prosecco, beer, juice, iced tea and soft drinks, plus a tray full of crisps, biscuits, croissants and jam. We were completely overwhelmed by such kind and generous hospitality! The four little balconies were the icing on the cake, with views out to the sea/harbour/hills and just the right size for two chairs and a small table (which we could swap around, to catch both the morning and evening sun). All we could hear were the swifts, gulls and church bells in the distance (which actually chime a whole tune at times...so enchanting!) and we never tired of overlooking the 'hidden' garden below and two old chateaux style mansions with shutters, like something from a fairy tale. The bed was extremely comfortable and the large bathroom very new, with a super power shower, his and her basins and toweling slippers. We had everything we needed and The Attic is very centrally located, with a big, cheap supermarket just up the road and only a short walk away from the promenade, railway station and port. Rapallo is lovely (not as touristy as Santa Margherita) and we walked the red carpet to Portofino, took the exhilarating cable car up into the mountains and visited the stunning Cinque Terre by train (easy and cheap), always happy to return to our cosy 'home'. We may have arrived as guests, but we left feeling as if we had gained a whole new Italian family.
Dearest Alison and Tim, Thanks a lot for taking the time to write such a detailed and heartfelt review. Indeed, we are sure that it will be very useful to future Guests, who will be able to feel the warmth of the Attic, of Rapallo and of Liguria by reading your kind and informative words. We wish you all the best and we hope to welcome you and your family again. Warmest regards, Franca & Maria
The apartment was in a superb location for exploring Rapallo and the surrounding area on foot by boat and by train, no need for a car as you can easily arrive by train from the north or the south.
We were welcomed by Maria ,Francas daughter and were given a fantastic insight on Rapallo -where to eat and drink ,what to see and how to get around -all the advice and local knowledge was gratefully received and put to good use.
The apartment itself was superb with great views from all the balconies .It was immaculately clean and modern and everything you could possibly need in a holiday rental had been thought about and provided ,couldn’t fault it.
Many thanks Franca and Maria for making our stay in Rapallo and Liguria a truly enjoyable and memorable one.
Dearest, Thank you very much for your excellent review. It has been a great pleasure to get to know both of you. We are also very happy you have enjoyed yourselves in the Attic, in Rapallo and in Liguria. Hoping to see you again. Best regards, Franca & Maria
Charming. Close to everything.
This is the second time we have visited. The property is lovely. It's close to everything, but away from the main Street, so you have less noise than other locations. On each visit there has been a big bowl of fruit on the table, along with soda, wine, beer, orange juice, and water in the refrigerator.
Dearest Sheryl and Bruce, Thank you very much for your kind review. It has been a really great pleasure to see you again this year. We would be very pleased to welcome you again whenever you wish to enjoy a peaceful and cuddling location. All the best, Maria and Franca
Rapallo is a strategic base: in addition to offering sea, sports, relaxation and nature, it can be discovered through its culture, art, museums, famous monuments, traditions, music, food and wine events, which give the real taste of Italy. The climate, classical Mediterranean in Rapallo, constantly brings warm and dry weather into the summer, and perfect for the holidays. Undoubtedly Rapallo is very well served by buses, trains, ferries, highways and airports. Milan, the Duomo, the Castle, Montenepoleone and the Navigli. Pisa, the unmissable Piazza dei Miracoli, the Leaning Tower and museums You can not forget the superbe outlet in Serravalle where to indulge in purchasing clothes of the major Italian fashon brands at sale prices. At home there are many ideas of daily trips.

Around the corner there is the largest, fully equipped, relaxing and soft sand beach called Bagni Lido. The beach at the end of the wonderful promenade adorned by palm trees.
