An amazing value stylish villa in great location for exploring the real Spain.

This cleverly designed Villa has 2 double bedrooms but the versatility via sofa beds to sleep up to 6 guests.

The location is practical for exploring the local countryside and costas.

Parking is off road, terraces are front and back , so you can chase sun and shade.

The up to date facilities of WiFi, Air Con in Kitchen and Bedrooms, UK and Spanish Television allow you to step back in time with the ambiance of the surroundings but keep in touch with the modern world.

Also great for longer term out of season 'working ' holidays.

The Villa is all on one floor so great for the elder guests or the young variety.

If you like to dine in an environment with amazing views then the dining table area is for you, though keeping yourself away from alfresco dining and beverages by the pool will be a challenge.

Vinuela has been described in many a book as :

An 'Oasis of the Axarquia' , tucked away in the folds of the mountains, this newest village, which is remarkable as it was officially recognized in 1764, gains it's fame from the majestic turquoise water lakes.

Los Romanes is classed as the hamlet of Lake Vinuela, renowned for it's Olive Oil and it's stunning Lake Vinuela and Mount Moramo views.

The reflection of the Mountains on the lakes is amazing and mesmerizing.

Malaga, Granada, Nerja, Gibraltar are all a day trip away.

Villages like Comares, Frigliana and Competa can all be explored and local goods like wine and honey tasted.

  • There are 2 airy double bedrooms. Also as you enter the front door, a large room has been designed which doubles as a small reception room with a sofa that folds out as a sofa bed and can be kept private from the bulk of the Villa due to sliding doors. This is a great private area and would be lovely for children. There is also a sofa bed in living room area. Both bedrooms have air conditioning. So 6 guests can be accommodated which leads to a 'fantastic' value holiday base for the extended families.

Notes:
Due to the layout of the villa being on one level, it is great for the older generation and children alike. It has though not been designed with wheelchairs in mind so please ask any questions direct.

Villa with a Million Dollar View

Our family had a fantastic stay in Los Romanes. The villa was extremely comfortable and well equipped. Our teenage sons found the wifi and freeview tv a home from home necessity. The pool was ideal for the four of us. La Charca was superb with Charcolat dessert being the boys' particular favourite. The local mini market was ideal for daily essentials with everything else needed nearby in Velez Malaga. The area is ideally situated for day trips - Lobo Park and the Andalusian stud farm at Ronda were both well worth a visit. Chris had amassed a huge amount of tourist info which helped us plan our days. There is plenty to do in the area that would suit all tastes and levels if adventure. We had a great relaxing holiday and would definitely recommend.

An amazing villa with views to die for....

One word - WOW!!!!

We had three weeks in this lovely villa and it wasn't long enough. The villa was exactly as described - very clean, tidy and very well appointed. The pictures of the views just don't do the reality justice and we found nothing better than sitting on the front terrace at sunset watching the changing colours of the lake and the mountains opposite. This was then followed by watching the shooting stars clearly visible away from the lights of the larger towns.

The local restaurant, El Charco, was a two minute walk away and served probably the best prepared meat dishes you could hope for. Reasonably priced and a great atmosphere. 5 minutes down to the lake are another couple of excellent restaurants.

Thanks to David and Jacqui for making us feel so welcome

Stunning Views!!

We had an absolutely fantastic time in Los Romanes. The photos on the website are just a taster of the amazing views we enjoyed during our two week stay.

The property was very clean and well maintained and ideal for us and our two year old daughter. The property itself is situated in a very small village allowing you to really immerse yourself in the Spanish way of life, whilst larger towns with shops etc are only a 20 minute drive away. There is also a 24 hour manned medical centre in the village across the lake, only a 15 minute drive away, which was very reassuring given that we travelled whilst pregnant!

Further afield, there is a fantastic Blue Flag beach in Nerja, only a 40 minute drive from the villa, ideal for the little ones! We would recommend this villa to both families or couples travelling together, the house can easily sleep 3 or 4 couples or 2 families. We will definitely be returning.

villa on edge of typical Spanish village.

Enjoyed our stay here. Very quiet and every thing you need within reasonable reach. The restaurant 3 minutes away is great. Views from patio wonderful. Nice pool in the back to cool off. Plenty of Dvd's, books to keep you occupied while popping a G and T. Would recommend.

Los Romanes Villa Rental

This was our first villa rental in Spain. The house is located in a superb position overlooking Lake Vinuela with Mount Maroma a fitting backdrop. Stunning sunsets, sunrises and hovering mists were an enchanting feature. The property was very clean and well appointed. It is of a good size and the kitchen is a pleasure to work in as it is so large. The pool area has a bamboo bar and the younger members of our family were happy to create cocktails and buffet meals so that we could eat outside at night-time. Most of our breakfasts were also taken outside, either by the pool or on the terrace at the front of the house in full sight of this glorious panorama. The pool was well used during October. The village of Los Romanes contains both traditional and modern properties reflecting the current ethnic mix in this area of Spain. The Los Romanes Coop produces olive oil from the fruit harvested by the locals. We found the staff there friendly and welcoming. There is a small Coviran supermarket in the village and it is well stocked. The local restaurant/bar, El Charco, provides a high standard of meal and is extremely popular with both Spanish and other nationalities. It is easy to travel to the coast and there is a lovely walk along the sea front at Torre Del Mar. Although the villa is located in the mountains, it is easy to travel to many historic, scenic and holiday locations, including coastal resorts, depending on one's preferences. For those who like walking, or off-road motor-cycling, the nearby mountain tracks are a godsend. Prefer meditation or yoga? No problem. There is a Taoist Meditation Centre nearby and a Buddhist stupa in the hills! Both the Agent and the owner of this property were attentive to our needs and the standard of care we received was excellent. Renting this villa gave us the chance to get to know a little bit about the 'real Spain' as well as providing the perfect base for a very memorable and happy stay. The villa is perfect for both couples and families with children ranging from the young through to teenagers and young adults.

Fantastic Accomodation

We stayed at the fab villa for a fortnight. It was great! Plenty of space inside and out. It was great for us as we had a toddler with us - no risk of stairs, plenty of sunny and shady secure outside areas. The pool is a really good size and was regularly cleaned during our stay.

The house is very well equiped - more like staying in your own home. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and there was a large selection of books and dvds.

There is a great shop and bar / restaurant within easy walking distance and lots of lovely places to visit around the lake.

The views are just so special. Would definately visit this villa again without any doubt.

A central and well located great value villa on the edge of a typically unspoilt Spanish village, the versatility of the layout allows for up to 8 guests.

The 8 x 4 metre pool basks in sun and the air conditioning, internet and UK television brings the modern touch to a very Spanish styled villa.

The amazing views of the lakes of Vinuela will keep you on the front terrace, but the draw of the Mediterranean can easily be resolved within less than 30 minutes of driving on good roads.

This location gives a semi rural feel with amazing views of Mount Moramo but the convenience to walk up to a local Spanish bar or down to one of the best authentic Spanish restaurants that also specializes in steaks.

So if you want tranquillity, relaxation but also be close to nights out in Puente don Manuel and Vinuela then this Villa is ideal.

There are numerous pretty 'blanco' villages all within 10 -30 minutes and you can also get to Granada in less than 2 hours, so coupled with Malaga you can also have city time as well.

The bigger coastal resorts of Torrox and Nerja, with it's famous caves, are reachable in 25-40 minutes.

So lakes, coasts, cities, tranquillity, authenticity, convenience, location and modern facilities combine to make an ideal Villa for groups or families alike.
