About Nora Dvosin & Jeffrey Karoff
We were renters ourselves for a few years in a row -- our friends Jonathan and Carolyn ran the vacation rental and we'd said back then, if you ever want to sell... Sure enough, when they were ready we were their first call, and we bought the property immediately.
Nora Dvosin & Jeffrey Karoff purchased this House in 1999
Why Nora Dvosin & Jeffrey Karoff chose Dixon
We think our house is situated in one of the best spots in Dixon. We are at the end of the road, with only wilderness beyond. So we have this vast, protected, BLM natural preserve as our side and backyards. You can see our neighbors down the road about 100 yards, but that's about it. Otherwise, the land is untouched.
What makes this House unique
We love going there ourselves - we are in Dixon 3-4 times a year. Somehow, we never tire of the intoxicating landscape, the air, the quiet, the extraordinary New Mexican skies, and the light. The banco under the ramada is one of the most magical spots. The ramada's pillars provide framed views of the landscape that remind us of Maxfield Parrish's idyllic worlds.

Everything worked exactly as planned, from directions, to the key. Little town of Dixon is charming, house is in a beautiful location. Very quiet. Enjoyed it very much.
We had a wonderful time in the area of Dixon. We traveled daily to the National parks that surround the area.
I’ve stayed at this property 3-4x in the past. If you’re looking for one of the most peaceful places on earth with breathtaking views and miles of hiking right out the back foot, this is the place. It has everything you need. The outdoor ramada is the perfect place to watch the birds with your morning coffee or see the sunset with a margarita. Loved my recent visit!
We love this house and its surroundings. This was our second time to stay here, and I was thrilled to find it just as quiet and calming as it was some years ago.
The views from this location are unforgettable. By staying in the Adobe Home at the Edge of Wilderness you can experience dark skies, hummingbirds, sounds of coyotes in the night, hiking outside the property, hearing peace and quiet and watching the sun rise behind the hills. The house was comfortable with all the amenities necessary for a short or long stay and the outside seating arrangements perfect for facilitating your relaxation. We will be back.
Love, love love
This our 3rd time at this wonderful property, we love the seclusion, comfort and quiet of this beautiful house.
And we hope to have you back a fourth, fifth, sixth...
