Luxury holiday beach villa nestled in a private tropical flower and coconut tree garden of the Coconut Laguna beach front Resort, at 40 meters from the beautiful Bang Por palm fringed and white sand beach, and at 20 meters from the crystal clear water swimming pool with basin for children and a whirlpool.
Built to high western standards with a Thai design influence, this recent (2010) holiday villa is a spacious accommodation for 4 guests in two (2) spacious queen bedrooms each fitted with satellite 40” TV, DVD and en-suite bathrooms, a comfortable living room area with satellite 52” TV and surround sound system, a fully equipped western granite open plan kitchen. The huge covered outdoor living area is equipped with large table for 8, and sofas for eating 'al fresco' and relaxation. On the upper terrace, you will enjoy the jacuzzi for 2 persons, sunbaths and stunning sunset view.
Fans and air-conditioners in all living areas inside, free wireless internet access, free local telephone, international TV channels, 24hr/7d guarded resort, pool and garden daily maintenance, house cleaning common area every day, in full with linens and towels replacement twice a week, kayaks, are part of the facilities included for your comfort. Airport pick-up service, car or bike rental, additional maid service, cooking service, baby bed and chair, etc...can be arranged upon request by our local representative.
At the Coconut Laguna holiday facility there are all together only 11 vacation villas. Two villas are built in the typical wooden Thai style, and the other villas are built of brick. A swimming pool graces the middle of the resort, surrounded by palm trees and ornamental shrubs, which brilliantly flower throughout the whole year. The swimming pool, with its crystal clear water, also features a separate pool for children, a whirlpool, and a sea-view that postcards are made from.
The beach of Bang Por is 3.5kms long, luring the visitor, and holiday renter, to take a stroll and explore the beaches. This sandy beach is unique on Koh Samui, and is also not crowded with many beachcombers and wandering tourists or beach-vendors. You will find, however, some of the island’s best Thai restaurants within walking distance.
At night, during certain seasons, an armada of fishing boats light up the horizons over the Gulf of Thailand, as they search for squid, crab, and other delicacies for your dining table. Picture yourself standing on the edge of the oasis of Coconut Laguna Beach Resort, with the southern skies and the northern views of Asia yours alone to cherish.
Great fresh seafood restaurants on the beach and mini supermarket within walking distance from the Villa.
I wish I could be in Koh Samui more often :)
Jean Charles Sermeth purchased this villa in 2011
There are not many places where it is possible to relax along side a beautiful, safe and however unspoiled beach, and at the same time being near of all restaurants and entertainment places that Koh Samui can offer
The quasi private beach, the beautiful pool surrounded by tropical trees and flowers, the outdoor Jacuzzi, the nice and cheap authentic restaurants on the beach. This is our little paradise corner.
Julie was delighted and said "I have been meaning to contact you to thank-you for our stay in your beautiful villa – it was wonderful; in fact everything was perfect"
Everything was like described. Clean, quit, Close to the beach, friendly staff.
Our stay was exactly how you imagine a Holiday. We recommend this house.
We booked the Villa in Coconut Laguna through owners direct. The owners were extremely helpful right from the time of booking. The email exchanges prior to our visit were very informative giving information of the surrounding area including places to eat and see.
The owners offered to organise a pick up from the airport. On arrival the villa was spotless and we were greated by Nicky the villa manager who was extremely friendly and helpful. The villa itself is huge and the team of housekeepers ( 3 at a time!) visited each day to clean the villa. Bed linen and towels including beach towels wer changed twice during our 10 night stay. The communal pool ( though we were practically the only one using it) was cleaned regularly and kept our 7 and 5 year old girls happy for hours. There are many restaurants within a short walk all of which were of great quality. Across the road from the villa the friendly husband and wife manager and chef served up the biggest portions we had at any restaurant in Koh Samui and everything we ate was fantastic! Som restaurant, Haad Seafood restaurant both within a short drive or a 15 minute walk were also very good and very reasonably priced. We rarely paid more than 600 Baht (approx £15) for starters and maincourses and a couple of beers for 2 adults and 2 children.
It is certainly worth renting a car which we did from the manager of the villa. Both cheap to hire and to run for the 10 days and allowed access to the whole island and saved in taxi journeys which seamed to be approx 800 Baht ( £20 ) per journey. The hire car was just 800 Baht for a day which was very cheap.
The beach at the front of the Villas was beautiful and our kids happily played in the water under supervision. The beaches to the North east of the island were great to visit. There are much more touristy areas to visit if that's your thing (Lamai and Chewang) but we preferred the more laid back quieter spots near to the Villa and to the North. Fishermans Village was nice and I had a great suit and shirt made there at Armarni's at a good price (approx £100) Also worth visiting are the water falls. A must is the local markets near Big Buddha, we bought fresh fish and king prawns which we cooked on the BBQ... beautiful, straight off the boats.
On the whole a great stay, great Villa and surrounding area and very friendly staff managing the property. Wouldn't hesitate going back. Thank you!
Lovely house close to a beautiful quiet sandy beach. Definitely recommend this house location if you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday. There are sun beds and kayaks on the beach which are free to use which were great and we used them to go around the bay to watch the sunset. Lots of good eating places on the beach within walking distance. Rachel and Charles who own the house were brilliant with lots of recommendations and hints and tips on how to enhance our stay. On arrival there was bread, milk, butter, orange juice, sugar, jam etc to get us started which was a great help. There was a house keeper called 'Tamp' who would arrange things for us if we asked eg organised a car rental and a trip to ang thong national park. Brilliant Thai massage on the beach about 50 yards away on your right for 300 Thai Baht for an hour (£7.50)!!!! Amazing best massage I've ever had. The downstairs outdoor area was very well used by us all and somebody would come each evening and light some mosquito repellents for us. Didn't use the outdoor jacuzzi or outdoor pool as we didn't need to as we spent a lot of time in the warm sea. Cleaning team were great quick efficient and friendly. Well equipped kitchen/utility room although apart from breakfast we ate out as it was so cheap and tasty. Recommend to hire a car for a few days to get around the island there is so much to see. Fishermans village on Friday is a must loads of bargains to be had and the food is good. All in all great house beautiful island very relaxing holiday.
We are a family of four with two teenage children. Our stay in Villa Palm was just what we wanted.
Bang Po beach is fantastic, clean and very quite. But even though it is so quiet there is a good choice of beach bars and restaurants for lunch or dinner. We especially liked Som's.
The villa itself is quite modern with a nice outdoor dining area. It's set in the third row of properties back from he beach, but that is only a very short walk through the trees.
The onsite support team managed by Pla are courteous and helpful. Whilst there we had an aircon unit breakdown in our kids room and they worked hard to make sure it was fixed same day.
Our feedback to the owners would be to suggest that two more sun beds are provided for the upstairs sun terrace.
My first 10-days vacation on a beach resort! This is certainly a luxury for a working mom with family! The host had arranged pick up transport (with min cost) to welcome us at the airport and an easy drive of 30 minutes. The lovely Villa Palm is situated near the FourSeasons Hotel with very private beach. Adorned with tropical trees, the estate is tranquil, clean yet family friendly with big terraces where we sit and watch kids jumping into pools. Friendly and polite staffs doing turndown services and performing guard duties. Hiring of motor bikes and cars are easily available and you are always 15 minutes (3 traffic lights) away from the main attractions such as The Warf, Nikki Beach or ChaWeng Beach. The property is also near the famous Bang Por Seafood restaurants where locals frequent their Thai food. Many choices of visiting the Big C Supermarket and dish out a sumptuous meal at the property's kitchen.
A huge recommendation for those who love beaches and seeking serenity with their loved ones.
Once again as the past few years we spent with our friends 4 weeks at this very nice villa. I can only agree my previous reviews from the last years and say again, it was so wonderful. The taxi which Rachel has ordered for us waiting when we arrived at airport Samui. Even if we enter the villa we feel like at home. Everything was as always very clean, the beds are very good. Our favorite place of the house was the large terrace there we sat many hours. The house was cleaned twice a week from top to bottom and the bed linen changed. Pla, as well as the girls were very helpful, friendly and nice. The community pool where I swam every morning was very clean. The entire complex is very well maintained and very beautiful ingrowing with exotic plants. I also can praise the restaurant Chana Hom on the opposide side of the road. Everything what we ate was very tasty, good and not expensive. The landlord and the landlady and her daughter are very nice and friendly they also deliver to the house. The whole communication with Charlie and Rachel from start to finish was very good and nice, even on Samui. Since the coffee machine in the house was too small for us, I have written Rachel and the next day we have a new. So I want to say thank you Charlie and Rachel. Again it was a very beautiful and relaxing holiday at Villa Palm.
I highly recommend this villa.
The wonderful Bang Por Beach is located on the north side of Koh Samui Island. This area offers a tranquil retreat, wonderful views of Koh Phangan, and snorkeling at less than 100 meters from the beach over the Coral barrier.
Bang Por is 5 minutes away from Nathon capital town or from Maenam and the Santiburi championship golf course on the other side, ten minutes away from Bophut - Fishermen Village’s exotic shop houses, numerous bars and restaurants lining the sea shore.
The area is not as crowded as Chaweng and Lamai but if you want the maximum action, it's only 20 and 30 minutes away.
