Chosen for its location, close to the village/ beaches and coves, and all surrounding tourist areas,( eg Playa del Ingles/ Maspalomas, Amadores Beach, Mogan, Puerto Rico & Tauro golf ,all are within an 15 minute drive, making this an ideal base from which to see our island paradise.The spacious terrace has lovely open views.( The property is redecorated and updated every year, and maintained weekly.)

What makes this apartment unique

After taking many holidays abroad, we chose Gran canaria as our second home, because of the all year round climate, which is not to hot in the summer, and lovely summer weather in the winter. Not wanting a typical tourist area, we preffered a place to relax but within easy reach of busy resorts, such as Mogan, Paya del Ingles/ Tauro golf etc, should we want to visit them.Our family also wanted coves, beaches, mountain and coastal walks, with a good selection of restaraunts and sunset bars, a little of everything, so we chose Arguineguin, we hope you enjoy our home, Arguineguin and Gran canaria for your holidays, as much as we do.

What an excellent holiday, everything is exactly as described, this beautiful apartment is luxurious, spotless, modern and in the perfect location to enjoy the views and the Ambiance of Arguineguin, which has to be one Gran Canarias best kept secrets when one is looking for a more traditional and unspoiled holiday destination, but with plenty of lovely restaraunts at exceptionally good value, and choice, we highly recommend Arguineguin and the property, one of the best we have ever stayed in, exceptional service and weather, we will return.

Arguineguin is a charming fishing town, famous for its sun sets with peacefull beaches and coves, resorts such as puerto rico, maspalomas, playa del ingles, meloneras, san agustin, are all within 15 minutes drive or less.The new highway extension allows you to be in Puerto Mogan in several minutes, making this a unique and peacefull base, with easy access to all busy resorts.PUERTO RICO MOGAN TAURO GOLF, AND A SHORT DRIVE TO PLAYA DEL INGLES AND MASPALOMAS.

Our harbor area with its own curved beach is circled by local bars, street caf'es, restaraunts, and local tapas bars .Arguineguin and the house are ideal for walkers, cyclists and active people; The beautiful coastal path walk to patalavaca, and beyond,is easily reached a few minutes from the house, having a further choice of beaches, coves, bars and resturaunts, leading you to the caribean sands of Anfi beach.

The town attracts all nationalities, making eating out a great experience at very reasonable prices. There is a local market on Tuesday one of the largest on the island, and a few mins from the house on thursday morning is a local market. A regular bus service takes you to all surrounding areas, including the capital of Las Palmas where you can wander amongst the old town of Veguetta, visiting historical sites including the house of Columbus. Vegueta has a cosmopolitan selection of high end shops as well, and is oposite the sea and international real yacht club , exploring this safe capital independently is fun. In November Las Palmas hosts the ARC yacht rally, evening parties are held for everyone to enjoy. February is carnival time in the capital on a Rio style celebration, it also visits Arguineguin,and makes for a great atmosphere. Gay pride is also a huge hit in Maspalomas during late April early May, .We also have many local festivals throughout the year. Our local Ancora center has a lot to offer both day and night for food and live entertainment in the winter high season ,and is only 5 mins walk from the house. Water parks, and animal parks with dolphin displays, are also easily reached, but a days car hire would be an advantage, if you love walking, there is plenty of opportunity close to the house, the lovely mountains have gentle hikes or hard walks, The norwegien community walk here every day through the winter high season, october to may, the weather being a balmy 24 on average, raising to 28 in the following months.The area is blessed with a gentle breeze in the summer months.

A super week in the sun

Our apartment in Arguineguin was everything we could have wished for. The property was very clean with everything we needed for our holiday was provided. The kitchen was extremely well fitted out and all the appliances were easy to use as instructions were provided in the apartment. The patio was lovely as it enjoyed the sun for most of the day with a few shady spots if you wanted to get out of the sun. We found the apartment was well situated to visit other areas of Gran Caneria. There were also plenty of local places to eat which were recommended and exceeded expectations. The property was extremely well managed as Sue was so helpful throughout the booking stage and our weeks stay.

A beautifully presented house with everything you could possibly need

We loved everything about the house and the specious terrace.

However what made or stay much less enjoyable was the main road and the sound of constant traffic a couple of hundred yards from the terrace. It was particularly evident in the day time with all types of vehicles including heavy goods lorries and motor cycles using this main road. At night the traffic was of course less frequent but we could not sleep with bedroom window open. Had we known about the road we would not have booked.

We are so very sorry that part of your two week stay was disrupted, after the main road from Arguineguin to Patalavaca was closed for some repairs and a safety checks, resulting in traffic being diverted through our usually peaceful area. You had been having such a great holiday spending all your time on the terrace getting that enviable tan! i know that it must have been disruptive your last few days. It was totally beyond our control and something we had no prior knowledge of. But i know every aspect of your holiday beforehand was perfect; We hope that you can accept our sincere apologies for any problems this may have caused you, and can assure all our future Guests that this was a temporary situation. Relaxing

As always the house was immaculate .I always wonder what i can say to express what a lovely house , location and general atmosphere Arguinigen brings . We have been so many times. The perfect place to do nothing or fill your days . We usually try to do so something new or eat somewhere different each time we came . We went to The restaurant in El Pajar this trip . Rustic but fabulous .Our first time there and we loved it . Lots of changes being made along the sea front which will only enhance the village .

IN ONE WORD WONDERFULL

as it was my husbands birthday, as a suprise at the last miniute, I rang Sue the property manager to see if the house was available for the suprise for keith, and was it a suprise, as I spent my retirement suprise a couple of years ago, as always the house, our hols, was great, just as buitifull and clean as always, Sue as always very helpfull and so kind, we were very suprise at all upgrading in Arguineguin, as it was in the proccess we saw the New beach and New Pool and Beach was Under Construction in Arguiniguin soon to be completed, as always a very enjoyable 10 day stay Sue, look forward to next time, Sue & Keith

CHECK IN IS NOT BEFORE 4PM .CHECK OUT IS 10AM.. CLEANING PRODUCTS ARE SUPPLIED.( SHOULD YOU BE UNABLE TO TAKE YOUR HOLIDAY FOR A GENUINE REASON) ALTERNATIVE DATES WILL BE HONORED WHEREVER POSSIBLE.
