Arguineguin in the sunny south of the island, is central to all resorts; eg) Mogan Purto Rico, Amadores, Playa Del Ingles, meloneras, Masplaomas, Tauro Golf etc, It retains its authentic canarian charm; visiting yachts sit side by side with a traditional fishing fleet.The coastline of Arguineguin is in the old village having Restaraunts and traditional tapas bars down by the sea.All nationalities visit us for our exceptional year round climate; Being Nestled and protected in a southerly facing valley, the area enjoys cooling sea breezes which makes high summer perfect holiday weather, and our famous winter climate makes this the ideal all year round holiday destination .Arguineguin holds one of the largest island markets every Tuesday, Which makes for a bustling atmosphere right by the sea, you can shop, then relax at one of the many unique street cafes.Arguineguin offers a mix of traditional and modern, the town also offers beaches coves and a harbor with a village atmosphere. local transport, regular bus services to all surrounding areas. Medical centers , supermarkets, chemists, shops,banks and atm machines, are all available; The area is very popular with walkers hikers and cyclists;The temperature from Nov to June averages 20 to 26 daily, summer, 28 is normal. If you are a walker, close by are our very popular mountain and coastal path walks, making this area ideal for the active; taxis are available from town to the house for aprox 4 euros, should you wish. There is private parking for your hire car should you choose one.

Chosen for its peaceful and central location, close to the towns beaches and coves, and all surrounding tourist areas,( eg Playa del Ingles/ Maspalomas, Amadores Beach, Mogan, Puerto Rico & Tauro golf ,all are within an 11 minute drive, making this an ideal base from which to see our island paradise.The private and spacious sun terrace has lovely open views. The area and the property are of a very high standard. A luxurious fully equiped kitchen, and carefully chosen furnishings.. The owners holiday in the property themselves, so the attention to detail is very high.

After taking many holidays abroad, we chose Gran canaria as our second home, because of the all year round climate, which is not to hot in the summer, and lovely summer weather in the winter. Not wanting a typical tourist area, we prefered a peacefull place to relax but within easy reach of the busy resorts, such as Mogan, Paya del Ingles/ Tauro golf etc, should we want to visit them.Our family also wanted unspoiled and peacefull coves, uncrowded beaches, mountain and coastal walks, with a good selection of restaraunts and sunset bars, a little of everything, so we chose Arguineguin, we hope you enjoy our home, Arguineguin and Gran canaria for your holidays, as much as we do.
Another great holiday in this superbly equipped comfortable and modern apartment, all the amenities are at the Apartment that you could possibly want, sue is on hand if you need any help or info, but totally respects your privacy. The Apartment is in a perfect setting to be close enought to all the amenities of lovely Arguineguin, but private secure and very peacefull. A five minute stroll to town and plenty of restaurants and a great selection at very good value.

We had a great ten days in Gran Canaria. The house was ideally situated for trips out and also perfect for lazy days in. Fully equipped, spotlessly clean and within easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. Arguineguin is one of the smaller quieter resorts, which suited us well. A trip into the mountains is a must... a world away from the high-rise hotels and larger resorts on the coast. Thanks go to Sue, the property manager, for making the booking process so easy and for the warm welcome and information given to us on arrival...it was greatly appreciated.
This was our second stay in this house and just as good as our first. A very warm welcome from Sue, who was very helpful throughout the week. The house is spotlessly clean and has everything we need. The weather was warm and sunny every day and we hired a car to travel around the island. The drive to Tejeda in the mountains summits was fantastic, though a clear day is necessary for the views. We went to Puerto de Mogan for the third time and enjoyed it as much as before. We tried several restaurants but by far the best for us was the fishermans cooperative restaurant near where the ferry leaves for Mogan. The quality and quantity of the fish was amazing.
We can recommend Plus car at the airport for good value and very good service. No hassle or queues, and a relaxed attitude. We drove for several hundred miles with no problems.
As a regular holiday visitor to Arguineguin, over the years, both myself and my husband always enjoy ourselves, a few years ago we came across the Datana house, we fell in love with the house, it was so nice, it has everything you could want, so modern, so very clean, so peacefull and relaxing, everything on hand a few mins walk to all shops restaurants, beaches, as always Sue property manager was on hand as always she is so helpfull, as we was at the house for 2 weeks she even came in with clean fresh bed linen and towels, we was very spoilt, , can,t thank Sue enough, we look forward to coming out nxt year, Happy Xmas & Very Happy New Year, Sue & Keith
This was a holiday that we had both been looking forward to for some time and it did not disappoint in any way.
From the beginning Sue could not have been more helpful she personally telephoned within an hour of me making the inquiry. Her care and attention to detail ensured that we were never concerned about any issue no matter how trivial it may have seemed. There was a slight mix up with fees regarding Owners Direct and Sue and Mr Shuebler arranged for a refund though there was no responsibility on their part. She arranged for our transfer from the airport, even organising a mini bus because my wife does not like taxis. The driver was there on time as arranged and was most obliging. Sue met us at the property and spent the best part of an hour showing us the apartment and how everything worked as well as giving us helpful advice about how to get into town where to do our shopping best places to eat and generally getting around.
We knew that she would be coming halfway through the holiday to change the beds and towels, however the service went beyond that. My wife had forgotten her iPod charger so Sue brought one round when she came to clean. It didn't fit but she told us exactly where we could buy one in Arguineguin, and it was much cheaper than at home. She also came to see us off and ensure all was right for our departure.
The apartment is everything that is claimed. Spotlessly clean with everything in full working order. We used the kitchen occasionally and the washing machine. Mundane on holiday I know but nevertheless important. We didn't watch TV much but there were some English channels and the wifi was good. Even though it was quite warm at night we both found the fans sufficient in the bedrooms. The apartment was very quiet at night. The balcony was great for enjoying a meal and there are some lovely views, although obviously the sun helps a lot.
This was our first visit to Gran Canaria. We both enjoyed it more than Tenerife. It is more laid back and probably more genuinely 'Canarian' especially in Arguineguin. If you are reasonably mobile you do not need a car. It is a pleasant 5-10 minute walk into the town where there are all the general amenities that you could want. It is still a genuine Spanish fishing village.
There are lots of very good reasonably priced restaurants or for something more plush try a cocktail in one of the hotels who were happy to serve guests.
There is a beach here walk get a bus or taxi to several others.
Our fourth time of staying at this wonderful house. Everything you could possibly want is available . The kitchen is so well equipped. Including washing machine and dishwasher. The T.V (if you have time or be bothered to watch it!) has so many stations and most available in English. The wi fi is excellence, probably better than we have at home. The house is spotless , towels for home , towels for beach and towels for sun beds. If you stay for more than a week , sue the house manager will come in ,if week to clean and replace towels and change the bedding . She is an absolute Gem . When you arrive she will always go through everything with you showing you how things work, and with top tips as to how to get around the Island , and to the village which is just 10 mins walk away .
You can sit on the terrace in the morning and watch the sun come up, and the sun stays on the terrace until late afternoon, it is perfect for outside living .
The village is just a short walk away with lots of bars and restaurants, of varying prices . The sushi /chinese restaurant on the front is great , and The Meson restaurant down by the harbour is at the other end of the price scale but something to be experienced , absolutely fantastic.
To sum up The House is perfect, spotlessly clean with everything you need, and Sue although will do anything for you she also respects your privacy .
We just wish we could bottle the whole holiday experience up and bring it home. We have already booked for next March. Dont be disappointed , book early .
My wife and I arrived at the house, having been met by Sue the Site Manager. On first impression we realised straight away that our choice for the holiday was perfect for our needs. The house itself, facilities and house equipment are excellent and caters for all your needs, very clean and the area of the house is quiet and away from noise from the town. The Site Manager Sue is also excellent, there if you need her at the end of a phone or email. Readily give any hints or to tips to enhance your stay, a diamond! We certainly throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anybody, and would definitely stay again. Thank you
Arguineguin is a charming fishing town, famous for its sun sets with peacefull beaches and coves, unspoiled and not an overcrowded tourist area. Busy Major resorts such as puerto rico, maspalomas, playa del ingles, meloneras, san agustin, are all within 15 minutes drive or less.The new highway extension allows you to be in Puerto Mogan in several minutes, making this a unique and peacefull base, with easy access to all busy resorts.PUERTO RICO MOGAN TAURO GOLF, AND A SHORT DRIVE TO PLAYA DEL INGLES AND MASPALOMAS.
Our harbor area with its own curved beach is circled by local bars, street caf'es, restaraunts, and local tapas bars .Arguineguin and the house are ideal for walkers, cyclists and active people; The beautiful coastal path walk to patalavaca, and beyond,is easily reached a few minutes from the house, having a further choice of beaches, coves, bars and resturaunts, leading you to the caribean sands of Anfi beach.
The town attracts all nationalities, making eating out a great experience at very reasonable prices. There is a local market on Tuesday one of the largest on the island, and a few mins from the house on thursday morning is a local market. A regular bus service takes you to all surrounding areas, including the capital of Las Palmas where you can wander amongst the old town of Veguetta, visiting historical sites including the house of Columbus. Vegueta has a cosmopolitan selection of high end shops as well, and is oposite the sea and international real yacht club , exploring this safe capital independently is fun. In November Las Palmas hosts the ARC yacht rally, evening parties are held for everyone to enjoy. February is carnival time in the capital on a Rio style celebration, it also visits Arguineguin,and makes for a great atmosphere. Gay pride is also a huge hit in Maspalomas during late April early May, .We also have many local festivals throughout the year. Our local Ancora center has a lot to offer both day and night for food and live entertainment in the winter high season ,and is only 5 mins walk from the house. Water parks, and animal parks with dolphin displays, are also easily reached, but a days car hire would be an advantage, if you love walking, there is plenty of opportunity close to the house, the lovely mountains have gentle hikes or hard walks, The norwegien community walk here every day through the winter high season, october to may, the weather being a balmy 24 on average, raising to 28 in the following months.The area is blessed with a gentle breeze in the summer months.
