  • All the beds, mattresses and furniture in the rooms on the 1st floor were bought in 2011. The furniture in the master bedroom on the ground floor is from 2011. All the bedrooms have large built-in wardrobes and chests of drawers. All bedlinen (sheets and duvet covers) and towels (1 bath towel and and 1 smaller one) provided. All the duvets atre anti-allergenic. Lots of teatowels in the kitchen. Parquet floor in the master bedroom, carpets in the others. Sofa-bed (for 1 person) in the living room.

A Little Gem

I am at this minute sitting in this lovely house. It is clean, spacious and relaxing. I adore the beautiful prints and art work which decorate the walls.

I am here this weekend with the rest of my family, (husband + 3 grown up children). It is my eldest daughter's birthday and they have gone to spend the day climbing Ben Nevis. I have an illness which prevents me joining in but will join them later for a celebratory meal. I'm thoroughly enjoying relaxing at the house in such peaceful surroundings. The wifi is excellent and I'm getting up to date reports from Ben Nevis! If I wished I could spend the entire time watching anything I liked on the Sky TV or from the wide choice of DVD's here.

The house is spacious with plenty of room for either a group of adults or for those with younger children. There are plenty of games and toys to keep everyone entertained.

The kitchen contains everything you could think of, including a nespresso coffee machine so remember to bring your own pods.

Communication with Nathalie, the owner has been excellent. Thank you for all your patience with us and your help.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Now I'm off to enjoy the rest of my holiday.

Warm & Welcoming with all mods cons

Ideal for two families. Facilities were excellent. Wonderful welcome from the neighbour who looks after the property and she couldn't do enough for us. House was kitted out with everything you could need. We had a lovely stay. Would highly recommend it. We walked up Ben Nevis whilst we were here and the house was situated in a good position not too far from the Tourist route ascent.

Tolles Haus zentral in den Highlands

Das Haus in Spean Bridge liegt sehr zentral in den Highlands, in max. einer Stunde kann man unzählige Highlights erreichen: Lochness und Inverness, Blair Castle und Loch Tummel, Glencoe und Rannoch Moor und gleich um die Ecke die Road to the Isle mit dem "Herr der Rinde" - Viadukt und die herrliche Ben Nevis -Region mit vielen Sport- und Wandermöglichkeiten (z.B. zu den Steall Falls!). Einkehr -und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten direkt vor Ort oder sehr umfangreich in Ft Williams.

Das Wetter war häufig regnerisch, da ist ein schönes Ferienhaus besonders wertvoll. Und dieses ist ein tolles Ferienhaus! Sehr geräumig, geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit perfekt ausgestatteter Küche, viele Bücher, Spiele, DVDs und schnelles und stabiles WLAN.

Herzlichen Dank für eine tolle Zeit! Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Gorgeous setting, comfortable home

We stayed here in early July 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed the location, view from the sitting rooms and well appointed kitchen, bedrooms and baths. The owner was extremely responsive from booking to the end of our stay, and he made us very comfortable. When we arrived, we lacked hot water but that was only because the cleaners had switched off the unit. Once it was on, we were all set. It was rainy and cool throughout our stay but we stayed warm thanks to the heating and cozy house. The location was just fantastic - the hike we did near Glencoe will be a favorite family memory forever - we did our first Munro - and we also enjoyed Steall Falls and a ride on the "Harry Potter" train across Glendfinnian. Nice wi-fi, great movie and TV video selection (Curb your enthusiasm included, we were happy to see), well stocked kitchen and nice welcome packet. Exactly what we expected.

Great place to be in Scotland

This place is great. Quiet and peaceful, relaxation comes instantly.

We loved the garden making for a perfect afternoon tea with a view.

Most enjoyable the comfortable living and dining area.

An ideal location to explore the gorgeous Scottish Highlands. Our favourite was Glen Nevis.

Speedy WLAN was just great to stay connected.

Welcome to Taigh A'Chaorainn ('Rowan Tree House' in Gaelic) an ideal holiday destination in the Highlands of Scotland, 10 miles from Fort William, the outdoor capital of the UK. We are close to Loch Ness, Ben Nevis and the Cairngorms. The Caledonian Canal is a stone's throw away. The house is a great base from which to go walking/hiking, birdwatching, fishing, play golf, and try some water sports. Skiing in winter.
