About Patricia Crossley
I am half English half Austrian, daughter of a diplomat and have been living in Rome for many years- just outside of the city. I continue occasionally to work as a conference interpreter, play golf or take part in guided tours of Rome. I enjoy looking after my home where I live with my English husband., 2 cats and our labrador.
Patricia Crossley purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2001
Why Patricia Crossley chose Zona LIV La Giustiniana
We live in an idyllic spot therefore both my husband and I like to have the pleasure of enabling others to occasionally share this experience .
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
The property is immersed in a green silent landscape with lovely view yet close to excellent restaurants, golf courses and tennis courts. The city centre, airport and motorways are easily accessible. The house is light and spacious allowing for total privacy. The pool and lush garden offer a context for complete relaxation.

Lovely Rome stay
This house is lovely for a trip to Rome. It is about 20 minutes from St Peters by train but it is tranquil, cooler than the city and quiet. There are several wonderful restaurants nearby (not at all touristy), a good supermarket and no traffic noise at night. The flat is spacious, comfortable and well appointed - the pool is a wonderful addition on a hot day. There is an awesome video collection and the kitchen has everything one needs. The hosts are full of recommendations and very welcoming. It was a great place to stay!
It was a rare and lovely experience to host this family of 6 who behaved so impeccably. They were quiet and discreet, leaving the place clean and tidy - couldn't ask for more. I also appreciate such a prompt feedback from Sabina who has a very tight schedule.
Paradise in Rome for a good price
This is really a paradise in Rome. Beautiful large apartment with lovely garden, your own terrace and a very nice swimming pool. Magnificent view from pool on the mountains. We lived here for 5 weeks and think it is the top of what you can get in Rome, also seen the price. We made many photographs inside and outside the house. Safe and quiet location. Village with all shops nearby. Good connections by public transport to inner city. House is very well equipped. There are even some sport facilities to keep you fit. There is a nice living room, a modern kitchen, 2 excellent bedrooms and 2 good bathrooms. One of the bedrooms can be used as study. Very good WIFI included. At departure no extra costs at all.
The landlords speak many languages, are very helpful and friendly and let you as free as you want.
Quiet, descreet and well organized is the best way to describe these pleasant rentors who never want to create problems. They seem to enjoy the place in their own way , making full use of the train service into town.
When they left, after staying over a month, I found the place absolutely spotless.
Fantastic, quiet, luxurious property within easy striking distance of central Rome
Let's get the bit you want to hear done first!
Lovely property in the hills above Rome - quiet, clean, beautifully decorated with owners who go the extra mile to make your stay a 'home from home' experience. All extras laid on, extensive and brilliant DVD collection, fully equipped kitchen and utilities and the AC made the high temps bearable. We wanted for nothing!
Patricia and Geoff made our stay extra special with their wonderful hospitality. Our two daughters (as did we) had a fabulous time, used the gym and the swimming pool and thoroughly enjoyed their 'down days' - they are 22 and 18. Our youngest will be reading History at York University, so was very keen to visit and we were certainly not disappointed. We stayed for 6 days with 3 days site seeing and 3 days lazing around chilling around the apartment and pool. We did rent a car when we arrived in Rome, and on the days we were site seeing, went into Rome early and took advantage of the insightful advice that Geoff and Patricia gave in their very useful 'roaming Rome' guide especially about which car park to use to avoid congestion charges - then took a taxi. Loads of useful info on how to get into Rome, car parks, local supermarkets, train stations et al. Whilst Patricia and Geoff gave lots of useful tips on local restaurants we bought locally and ate in most days - family time gold. We also went to a few 'off the beaten track' sites that they recommended in their folder - brilliant! Thoroughly enjoyed being away from the main tourist drag. Ostia Antica (only 30 mins from home) is a must visit. However for the main sites - tip from us... book online, pre opening time visits to the Vatican (include American breakfast) and Colosseum - you miss all the queues - even if your family hate your for a while for having to get up at 5.30am - it is worth it when you see the queues at 9am!!
Thank you both for your warm welcome - we loved our stay and, in the words of Arnie - we will be back!
An English family as you may find in a romantic novel-mother and father with their two beautiful , intelligent and polite daughters . A family keen to explore and equally keen to chill out and just relax. Extremely considerate and quiet. We very much enjoyed an evening together- not something you would do with all rentors. Next day they left leaving the place spotless.
I can only hope they return one day.
Faboulos Villa in Rom
We(2 adults and 3 kids) spend more than two weeks in in Rome, living in this oasis of stilllness. It`s located in a northwestern Suburb, in a gated community, with other villas and farms in the neighbourhood. We drove by car into the city, which is about 25 minutes, but there is a bus station at the community gate, taking you to the train station( ticket ca. 1,5 Euro valid 100 minutes after validation, all over Rome Area). Rome Parking fees are1-2.5 per hour; take care of Area con traffico limitato, which can cost you 100 Euros and more!!! But now back to our location. The Villa is situated on the top of a small hill, surrounded by green trees and mediteran bushes, but also with a rose garden and lot of Olive trees. The Owners live in the Main House, and the guestflat are in the a sidewing of the Villa. The rooms were decorated with a lot of personal memoriabila, personal pictures of the Owners on the walls, a lot of good Books in the library, splendid DVD collection and nice carpets on the floor. The furniture is antique style, but very comfortable, the new Ikea kitchen is complete and ready for your cooking experiments. The sheets will be changed weekly, and if required, room cleaning can be offered. The pool outside has a marvelous sight on the Roman Backcountry Hills. Finally Mrs. Crossley, our host, is a distingushed and charming, golf playing Lady. She introduced myself onto the golf grounds of Olgiata Golfclub, the best in and around Rome. With the Pool outside, W-LAN, and the great DVD collection it was always an argue with the kids, when leaving for sightseeing. To make it short: If I return someday to Rome, I will certainly try to come back to this place!
P.S. Sorry for my poor english...
This family of 5 were lovely company and I miss them now they are gone. They were enthusiastic sightseers and enjoyed the surroundings. Their children were well behaved and friendly. It was a pleasure to advise them how to spend their day and share a drink with them. I can only hope they will come back one day. They left the place in more than perfect condition.
Impressive house in beautiful and quiet setting, overlooking the hills of the valley; a car is definitely needed though, then again allows for exploring the beautiful surroundings. A description of tours is made available by the owners. The garden offers great views and unheated pool is larger than most we have seen.
The very friendly and helpful owners are living on the same property next door, while privacy is ensured. We were invited for drinks one evening with very nice wines.
We would certainly recommend renting this beautiful house.
We greatly enjoyed having these guests whose company was enjoyable and whose presence was quiet and respectful, leaving the property almost cleaner than when they arrived.
A countryhouse with Italian allure
This stylish house is located in a quiet park-like green area away from the busy traffic, but still with everything nearby. By car or metro it is easy to get to Rome and visit the well known spots. Returning to the house which is located on a little hill with a pleasant garden and swimming pool is a wonderful completion of the trip to the busy city. Living room, 2 bedrooms, and kitchen are perfectly equipped and well maintained. Preparing your own dinner and dining on the terrace is attractive, although excellent restaurants are very nearby. The owners provide all privacy and suggestions for trips in the region. The owner even drove us along the nicest restaurants and provided a surprise dinner with excellent Barolo wine! However, I suppose no guarantee for Barolo wine for every visitor. Alltogether, excellent location, special character and we were agreeably surprised. Highly recommended.
A delightful Dutch family who were excellent company over a glass of wine and considerate respectful house guests. One couldn't ask for more - leaving the place in perfect condition.
I would enjoy having them again.
