My family and I stayed in this apartment in Paris' 15th for one week in January. We absolutely enjoyed our time.
Monique was wonderful to deal with. She always replied promptly to communications and went above and beyond to assist in any way she could. We especially appreciate her efforts to accommodate our 20 month old!
1. Location. The apartment is close to two Metro stations, making getting around town very easy. Groceries and bakeries are literally stumbling distance from the building entrance.
2. Amenities 1. Travelling with a baby meant that having the fully stocked kitchen was a must for us. While the kitchen is quite small, by our standards, it was well stocked and everything operated well.
3. Amenities 2. The apartment, with its two bedrooms and dining/living room, was very comfortable for the four of us (two parents, a young adult, and a baby). The bathroom is also a good size, and the laundry machine onsite was very useful on the day our baby dropped her mittens and blankets onto the wet Parisienne streets.
4. Communications. The wifi and the landline telephone with free calls to North America came in very handy. The wifi signal is strong and steady - we were able to watch Netflix.
1. The wooden floors in the living room and one bedroom are pretty squeaky. I am only adding this because if I did not include at least one negative point, you might not accept this review as legitimate! All told, though, the squeaky floor was not that big of an issue for us.
Finally, be sure to ask Monique for directions to "The French Waffle". You will not be sorry you did!!
Thank you, Monique for a lovely stay!
We do not hesitate to recommend this apartment for people visiting Paris.
We are two couples who stayed here and absolutely loved the experience. The neighborhood is not touristy, which we really appreciated. Further, it is very close to the metro and, once we got the hang of it, was so convenient and easy. We loved the fact that right downstairs and across the street were a patisserie and local market shop, so we got breakfast supplies easily. If we were to return to Paris, we would definitely stay here again. It was wonderful!
My family of four (2 kids ages 10 and 15) loved this charming apartment and its spacious living space, well-appointed kitchen, and comfy beds. We almost felt like locals shopping at the market across the street. There's a wonderful patisserie for morning treats and a produce market right outside the door. Super friendly service and delicious meals at the bistro right on the corner. The area feels very safe, and we walked to the Eiffel Tower and to the Left Bank (a long walk), and used the metro (which is less than 1/2 block away) for longer trips. Monique and her rep were very gracious and made arrival and departure very easy. It was the perfect home base for a Paris adventure. We are all looking forward to coming back someday!
A beautiful very French beau apartment in an idyllic location. Turn left and your looking at the Eiffel Tower in the distance, look down a different street and the golden dome can be seen. My family and I were welcomed by Monique and her husband to a well equipped apartment, it was quiet, peaceful and so close to the main attractions of Paris but at the same time nestled into real Parisian life. We loved it and will be back. The metro is a few minutes walk or there is bikes to hire just across the street. We did both. A fantastic experience. We were sad to leave, but then travelled to Nice on the next stage of our trip. Vive Le France.
Overall the apartment is great. Location wise - right next to the station, 1.5 miles from Eiffel Tower and within 5 miles of all major sites and attractions of Paris.
Our stay was for 5 nights and we had a truly wonderful time in Paris with our young children. The apartment enhanced our stay ... everything is within easy reach and facilities in the apartment itself are better than good.
Monique, the owner, is very helpful and gave us all the reassurance we needed whilst staying. For anyone thinking of making a trip to Paris, I would highly recommend this apartment.
A wonderful time ... we look forward to going back.
Monique welcomed us warmly in her lovely apartment telling us that she had actually grown up in it. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils, and there was an actual American style coffee maker with coffee supplied. The bathroom included a convenient motel type shower. The beds were comfortable, and the sofa in the living room pulled out to make a bed. The location was excellent with a wide variety of stores either in the same block or across the street (Funny, the butcher was open on Sunday but closed on Monday). The Eiffel Tower was within easy walking distance, with the metro station one block away, and a rental bicycle stand nearby. My son and his two children actually rented bikes and rode them all over the city. There was a washing machine/dryer in a separate space, and we appreciated washing and drying our laundry in the same machine, which included detailed operating instructions. In a nutshell, Monique knows how to host weary travelers and, as a result, we had a marvelous stay. Hopefully, we shall return.
