Casa Feliz is a hidden gem in a wonderful city.
if this is your first trip, you're going to love Granada.
if you have been here before, you're going to appreciate all the things that make Casa Feliz a great rental. a brand-new pool finished with Diamond Brite. hot water in every location, not just the "suicide shower" variety. AC in every bedroom. A quiet deck with wonderful views of volcan Mombacho. A residential neighborhood that bustles by day and is quiet at night.
Casa Feliz is a completely updated property. It's in a great walking distance (6 blocks) of central block away from Maria Elena's, the best bakery and cafe in the city (try the cappucino) the street from both great street BBQ (yes safe to eat) and the upscale Ciudad Lounge (cigars and great food).
There are three air-conditioned bedrooms each with queen bed and modern bath. The kitchen and huge entry sala are turn-key ready. There's a washing machine. TV, dvd, and free wifi. Plus a local caretaker living nearby whose high-school daughter speaks perfect English.
taxis in Granada costs less than $1. And you can get one right outside your front door. Express buses to towns like Masaya and Managua cost $1 and you can get them at your door as well (though you may wish to travel the 7 blocks to the terminal to be sure you have a seat). It's also fun to walk the streets.... to Xalteva, the local church, climb the bell tower of Merced, shop at the amazing central visit central park and the to walk to La Colonia, a supermarket as modern and well-stocked as anything near your home.
This is my personal residence, in which I take pride and which I use often when I visit Nicaragua. I welcome guests who will treat it with care and would be happy if you are one of them. I am available to answer any questions you may have and to give you personal hints about things to do and see.
