About Paula Mason

I have been coming to Denia since the I970s when my parents first bought property in the area. Denia is a second home to me and both I and my family have fond memories of happy holidays. We hope others will enjoy it as much as we do and get to know the wonderful town of Denia and all that it offers. Denia is not just a holiday resort, it is busy seaside town where there is always something going on all year round and that is why we keep coming back.

Beautiful tranquil peaceful villa

  • 5 of 5

We had a perfect week's stay in this lovely well equipped villa. It provided everything we hoped for and the location is superb. It was so peaceful and relaxing we were really able to unwind and enjoy the pool and surroundings. The gardens are beautiful with a huge variety of plants and flowers in all colours and fragrances. The villa is beautifully maintained and clean, it provided everything you need and Sky tv was a real bonus during World Cup week! Private location but not isolated with a supermarket 10 minutes by car and local restaurants nearby offer all you need locally and then you have Denia, Javea and Moraira just a short drive away with plenty of shops and restaurants offering every choice of menu you could possibly imagine. Overall a superb week, lovely villa and very good location.

Lovely secluded villa with stunning scenery. Even better than photos!

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely family holiday at this beautiful villa. Worked well with our kids aged 2 and 6. We only left the villa twice during the week (apart from shopping) as it was so nice to be there enjoying the pool and sunshine. It was really well equipped with things including washing up liquid, towels, kitchen roll etc so all you really needed to add was food.

Paula is very helpful and responsive with any queries we had and the booklet at the villa gives you all the local information you need. My only comment if you are coming with young kids is to bring some plastic plates and cups as the ones provided are very nice but all china.

Overall the villa is lovely and the scenery is stunning with mountains one side and view to the coast the other. I could sit all evening looking out over the terrace with a glass of wine, the perfect end to a fun day in the pool with the kids. I would totally recommend the villa and would definitely come again. We were sad to leave.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much Emily for your kind review. So glad you enjoyed your stay and am glad it worked well with the children. We don't normally have such young children staying because of the terraces around the property and the depth of the pool, but as we now have three young grandchildren ourselves, we will consider supplying plastic plates and cups in the future. We love sitting on the terrace looking at the view too! Paula

We had a fantastic 8 days in this peaceful and perfectly equipped villa. It is a beautiful part of Spain and we enjoyed discovering places and then returning to the villa to swim and relax.

It is a beautiful villa and we had the best time there. Thank you.

Fabulous family holiday

  • 5 of 5

Our family holidayed at La Serrania for 11 nights at the end of May 2017. We were a family of 4 adults and two children.

The location of the villa is simply stunning at the foot of the Montago mountain. My brother in law ran to the summit every other day, which took around 2 hours !!!

We flew to Valencia and travelled for just over an hour to arrive at La Serrania. The villa is very spacious, beautifully decorated and was a real home from home. The pool was amazing and our boys had hours of fun both day and evening. The adults spent many hours of an evening gazing at the stars, listening to the wildlife nestled in the surrounding woodland whilst enjoying a vino or two !!!

The property manager Andy was really helpful with local information and was also invaluable with some translation needed when my husband required urgent antibiotics from the local medical centre.

We were 5 minutes drive from Jesus Pobre, a beautiful little village which hosts a local market on a Sunday, selling local produce. Locals gather for food, drinks and music, just lovely. We had a fabulous Sunday paella at a lovely restaurant in Jesus called Pedros, make sure you head to the court yard at the back. The food was beautiful. We visited Jesus a number of times, it was Fiesta time in the village whilst we were there. Another gem of a place to eat in Jesus is La Tasca, food and atmosphere amazing on a Thursday night, plus live music.

We visited Javea, about a 15 mins drive, which had a great beach, which the boys loved, this is a beach resort, with playgrounds on the beach, you can hire bikes, lots of places to eat, very modern vibe. As a young family we really loved it here and visited a number of times.

We also visited Moraira , which was another beautiful seaside resort, with lovely restaurants and a really great family feel.

Other places we visited included Denia, for fabulous tapas, enjoyed a stroll around the cobbled streets, a visit to the beautiful castle and local churches. We also visited the lovely village of Guadalest, swam in the fountains at La'Agar. One of our highlights was a trip to Valencia, what a beautiful city and as huge football fans we also did the Valencia stadium tour, which my boys loved.

This holiday was a fabulous adventure and each evening we arrived back 'home' to La Serrania we were able to relax and have great fun as a family in the pool, cook a great meal on the BBQ or in the well stocked kitchen.

We will definitely return.

Fabulous villa in beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 6 (2 adults, 4 kids) who spent two weeks in August in this beautiful villa. The house offered every comfort, and we loved the pool, garden and general area. It was an added bonus having Sky Sports and BBC for the Olympics! The information folder in the house was an excellent guide on places to visit, things to do, restaurant reviews, etc.

We would highly recommend this villa, and would definitely rent it again if we return to the area.

Beautiful house - very clean, great garden/pool

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five just returned from our holiday in this beautiful, well-maintained and very clean villa, located in a quiet and private area, but only a short drive from shopping.

Upon arrival we were met by a British couple who showed us around and they were also the ones assisting us during our stay. At one point, we had no hot water – but this was fixed within an hour. The pool was cleaned halfway during our stay, which was great.

The house has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a big living area and a well-equipped kitchen – something we highly appreciate since we cook every day – and we have often experienced that holiday homes have very limited kitchenware. There is also a barbeque available. All bedrooms (and living room) has air conditioning, which was essential during the night.

The pool area and garden was quite large and very nice – plenty of room to sit outside and enjoy your dinner. We really enjoyed the pool during the hot days and there were lots of pool toys / floating devices for the kids (as well as pool/beach towels). The pool area is very private, surrounded by trees (e.g. lemon trees), which we appreciated. At night we enjoyed a glass of wine and the beautiful mountain view after the kids were put to sleep.

There is plenty of things to see and do in the area, but a car is essential. We had a couple of days at the beach (we took a longer drive to Olivia Beaches since we love this beach!), we took a good long drive in the mountains, visited Guadalest, we went to Alicante and Denia, and we also took a daytrip to Valencia, which we would highly recommend others to do as well; beautiful historical center – and yet a very modern city

Owner's Response: I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay at La Serrania, but sorry that you experienced a lack of hot water one time! Not sure why this happened, but glad that Andy was able to sort it out quickly. Andy and Jackie are an excellent couple who are always on hand to assist our guests. You certainly managed to do a lot of things during your stay, visiting Guadalest, Alicante and Valencia, but also enjoying relaxing times by the pool. Lying on the sunbeds, listening to bird song or sitting on the terrace watching the sunset over the mountains is one of our greatest pleasures. We do hope you will consider us again for future holidays. It will be a pleasure to have you to stay again. Thank you so much for your very kind review. Paula
