Guestbook comments from the owner

(The following review appears on Trip Advisor where the guest rated The Apartment 5/5)

"The Apartment is located in just the right place for a great holiday by the beach. It is set back from the hustle and bustle but near enough to pop out with a young child to eat out in the evening. If you want to stay in, the kitchen has everything you need and more and the dining table located in the bay window gives you the best view in St Ives with its view of the harbour".

Perfectly located, cosy apartment

  • 5 of 5

We loved the apartment and St Ives! The apartment is well-equipped and furnished beautifully. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. We really appreciated the tea, coffee, milk and biscuits on arrival. Lots of information is provided, as well as a DVD library and games. It is three minutes walk from the beach and eight minutes into St Ives. To note, the apartment has one car parking space but parking in St Ives is very difficult so I would advise only bringing one car. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Very comfortable, stylish and convenient location

  • 4 of 5

Beautifully decorated in a comfortable, masculine style. The beds and linens were excellent and it was clean and quiet, even though it is just steps from the train station. It is beautifully decorated and all the finishes are top of the line, but the furniture is a a little bit large for such a compact space. It's very elegant and comfortable, and you wake up to the laughing of the gulls wheeling over the beach. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again.

Owner's Response: I'll be replacing the two wing chairs once I find a suitable alternative with a smaller footprint.

Property was perfect for us as we were 2 people( my son and myself) so we had our own rooms and bathrooms . The main area was good for us , nicely decorated with all the amenities you could possibly need. Location was excellent ,right on the beach and next to shops and restaurants .place was also very clean and beds very comfortable, would definately consider again.

Tastefully equiped Apartment in a great position.

  • 5 of 5

The Apartment is in a brilliant position with great views over Porthminster Beach. The decor is in faultless good & modern taste & we could not improve on the style of anything right down to the cutlery. Every piece of the extensive range of equipment is of the highest technical quality. The Bathrooms are all anyone could ask for with high quality tiling, great showers & good lighting. The Galley kitchen also can not be faulted. The bedrooms are well equipped with supremely comfortable beds, soft pillows & plush Duvets. There may be better apartments in St. Ives but not many.

Owner's Response: For those looking for rest and a good night's sleep from their holiday, the apartment could be a great choice. Both bedrooms have double window coverings to create 100% blackout, there is no passing traffic or footfall and, as this review points out, the beds are 'supremely comfortable', taking their inspiration from the Westin Hotel's "Heavenly Bed" product. From the master bedroom you can hear the waves lapping the shore of Porthminster Beach below and see the ocean and harbour from bed.

Luxury in Beautiful Cornwall.

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful Apartment has everything and more, it is situated almost on the beach, with wonderful views from the lounge and Balcony, the Apartment is tastefully decorated, the beds are so comfortable and inviting, with crisp white sheets, and pillows for a perfect nights sleep. Its compact, and provides all required should you feel the need to cook while staying here. You can walk into St Ives, so a car isn't really needed if you just want a beach Holiday, buses are again , within walking distant as are the Trains. On arrival a welcome pack is available. The Apartment is without question beautifully clean and should you have any problems help is available . I would recommend this Apartment not only for the luxury, but for the location, Restaurants , and being in such a lovely quiet area. The service is excellent , both from the Owner and the Management. You will want to return to this Apartment, and I sincerely hope we can enjoy another holiday here soon. Yes I would recommend this property .

Beautiful, cosy and a great location.

  • 5 of 5

The property was exactly what I had in mind - pretty, comfortable, and with a great view of the ocean. Everything was in good condition and there were a lot of small finishing touches: umbrellas in case it rained, binoculars to take on walks, and complimentary fruit and shortbread.

There are plenty of nearby restraunts, excellent trails along the coast to walk, a good selection of films to watch if staying in, and the atmosphere of The Apartment itself was warm and inviting.

I'd certainly recommend it as a place to stay and it's a place I know I'd consider going back to.

Owner's Response: The Apartment is designed to be an inviting place to stay year round. There's no fear of being cold in the winter as the heating system was designed to cope with the coldest of winter blasts. The housekeeper changes the weight of the bedding with the seasons so what ever time of year you come, you'll be comfortable. On warm summer days and evenings, you can keep the front doors into the terrace wide open and use the terrace as your living area. The guest who wrote this review found the property to be "exactly what they had in mind". It's important to me that guests have no unpleasant surprises when they arrive. If you are considering renting the apartment, please look closely at the images of the floor-plan I have posted. These floor plans are to scale so you can see exactly how the space is laid out. You'll notice that the bedrooms are roomy and that the living area serves multiple functions. One thing to be aware of is that the two wing chairs in the living area need to be brought forward to access the dining table. However, once you're seated around the table, you'll have an ocean view that's worth moving a chair for.
