Notes:
San Vito dei Normanni is a typical village of the Itria valley of about 20 000 inhabitants. The city was born around the' Castle of Dentice di Frasso ', known for its square tower. The Castle, which over the centuries has been built around the tower, is a veritable treasure chest of history: the courtyards, the nineteenth-century staircase, ceramic paved salons of Vietri, the frescoed ceilings, the hunting trophies, the paintings, the antique furniture and stone fireplaces Lecce, makes you look like a king! And, in fact, the King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele III stayed here when he was in Brindisi in September 1943! BEACHES AND OLIVE TREES: The land is flat and just 9 km from the famous beaches of the 'Oasis of Torre Guaceto' and the sculptures of the ancient olive trees of Serranova village. OSTUNI: 12 km the nearest tourist city.

Lovely villa, good location and comfy beds!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous week at the villa, Francisco made sure that we had everything we needed. The rooms were comfortable, and everywhere was lovely and clean. The outdoor space was fabulous, great for the little one to run around. Great location for exploring local beaches and some of the UNESCO sites.

Excellent spacious property in a very nice setting.

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from an enjoyable week at Villa Maria. We arrived late and Francesco greeted us at the property with a welcome pack ( true 'Italian hospitality!') Mille grazie ! There was a brand new pool installed which kept the kids entertained on the sunny days. On the not so sunny days there was always the excellent WiFi! And places to visit. The villa was well equipped with plenty of space for our family of 5. It is a short walk into the local town which has supermarkets and plenty of pizza restaurants and bars/cafes as well as an ice-cream parlour, with delicious crepes!

Overall we have had a great weeks holiday in a lovely part of Europe, well worth a visit.

Excellent villa

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely villa – we especially appreciated the fresh figs and apples from the large garden! The villa is well equipped with good security and a large garden with decent sized pool. There is an excellent restaurant within an easy 10 minute level walk, and within a 15 minute walk there is a good array of shops including supermarkets, bakers and petrol stations. Make sure you visit the main shopping area of San Vito which is based around the impressive Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria and has lovely shops and bars. Francesco was a great host – friendly, quick to respond and very helpful. We would certainly recommend this villa.

Una vacanza meraviglios

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. We were a party of 6 plus our small Grandson( 23months) The villa provided an adequate space with good bathrooms. The property was very securely gated, which stopped any escape attempts by the little one! who had great fun with the freedom. The outside space was fantastic, and provided an oasis on the hottest of days 40 degrees c. We had great fun in the pool and in the late afternoon the Fig tree provided great shade . The Jacuzzi was well used too. We did have a couple of issues around plastic plates and bowls, lack of baby cot and highchair, but this was immediately corrected by Francesco who was always just a phone call away. The town is only a 10 minutes walk away with coffee bars, restaurants and supermarkets and banks. Our favourite restaurant was il Vulcano. We were lucky enough to be their for a local festival and fabulous fireworks. The local highways are easily navigated, and some of our excursions were Alberobello to see the Trullis, Taranto, Ostuni, and Brindisi. The beach is 20 minutes away and also Brindisi Airport. I would recommend this property to family and friends. If we returned we would come at a cooler time of year. Thank you Francesco for a most enjoyable stay.

Great villa, great location

  • 5 of 5

A very comfortable villa in a great location. Francesco, the owner, is an excellent host, with good suggestions for places to visit, and promptly answering any questions.

The villa is a good position in St Vito, 5-10 minutes walk to the local bakers and shops and 15-20 minutes to the town centre, which is a lovely place to sit out in the evening with plenty of cafes and bars and live music. There are also a number of good restaurants in town, we liked Nonna Mena, XFood and La Tana del Luppolo.

It's also well sited to explore Puglia with beaches, towns and other attractions within reasonable driving distance. There are too many to list but our favourites were Lecce, Gallipoli, Alberobello, the zoo safari in Fasano, the caves in Castellana.

Overall, a great holiday. Many thanks to Francesco.

BELLISIMO!!!

  • 5 of 5

We have just recently returned from a very enjoyable 2 week holiday at this lovely villa. From start to finish, we couldn’t have asked for anything more! Francesco, the owner, couldn’t have been more welcoming or more accommodating. He is a great host and if we needed anything, he was always just a call away. We were made to feel so welcome, thank you Francesco!

We arrived in Bari airport and the villa was very easy to find. It is just outside the town of San Vito dei Normanni, which is a just a short walk away. There is also a great Supermarket ‘Famila’, which is also a short walk away.

The villa is a great base to discover all surrounding areas of Puglia, which are all easily accessible. Besides the local town, we also visited Brindisi, Ostuni and Lecce, which were all lovely. We probably should have travelled some more, but we were too comfortable lazing by the pool and soaking up the sun!

The villa has been newly refurbished, so all new bathrooms, kitchen, beds etc.. The villa was just lovely, so clean and comfortable. The outdoor space, where we spent most of our time, was a lovely place to chill out and relax, complete with comfortable sun-loungers, dining furniture and sofa set area under a shaded canopy, if the heat gets too much!!

We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa. You will not be disappointed and you will be made to feel most welcome. We look forward to returning in the future.
