This characterful cottage, circa 1750, is located in a quiet courtyard just off South Street. It has recently undergone a contemporary refurbishment to an exceedingly high standard.

The open plan lounge/dining/kitchen is comfortably furnished and has a flat screen television with integrated dvd and free view and wireless wi-fi. The galley kitchen boasts a range of brand new appliances including halogen hob, combination microwave/convection oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine. The bedroom is served by a modern en suite with large shower. The bed configuration can be either twin or kingsize. It is equipped with large double wardrobe and drawer space, dressing table and hairdryer. The lounge sofa converts to a high quality double sofa bed. An ironing board and iron with a clothes airer are also in the property.

The ancient town of St Andrews is one of the most famous in Britain and home of Scotland’s oldest, and the world's fifth oldest, University which was founded in 1411. Other historic places of interest are the magnificent ruins of the Cathedral and Castle. These are open to visitors and command a spectacular view over two beaches and seafront.

St Andrews is the home of golf and hosts the Royal and Ancient Golf Club and the prestigious Old Course. The apartment is a mere two minute walk to the first tee on the Old Course and the world famous collection of six Links Courses. In addition, there are over twenty well known golf courses within a twenty minute drive.

The Old Course and Fairmont Hotels provide nearby fine dining experiences and spa treatments, and St Andrews itself has a myriad of restaurants and shops.

Entertainment is provided in many of the local bars in addition to the Byre Theatre and local cinema.

Other activities available include tennis, walking (beaches and forests), sailing and fishing.

Brilliant location

Lovely, cosy cottage. Perfect for 2 but even with 3 staying wasn't cramped. Wifi worked well. Can't comment on cooking facilities as didn't have to use them....wonderful! Great location for bars and restaurants and no worries about driving. So quiet inside, yet right in the town. A great base for all of St Andrews many attractions. Clean and compact with a good use of available space. Very helpful owner, but not intrusive. Excellent communication before booking and fast refund of deposit. Cannot fault Nikki and little extras were much appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful character cottage.

This is a beautiful cottage which has been thoughtfully and tastefully refurbished to combine it`s elegant character with modern luxuries.The whole property was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable and benefits from gas central heating and wifi.The bed is very large and comfortable and has lovely crisp white bed linen.The owners, Ian and Nikki were great and they provided a lovely welcome pack as well as dishwasher tablets etc. The attention to detail they give to this property, as well as the service they provide is second to none. It was a real privilege to stay here.We had to drag ourselves away and we cannot wait to return. We cannot praise this lovely cottage and its owners enough and we would highly recommend it to anyone .
