St. Louis

This is a great location, lovely property, and convenience to Gerakas beach and Tavernas.

  • 5 of 5

You can tell the villa was built by this wonderful family as a labor of love. The property is tended every day and with a service that is equal to none.

We hiked the hills overlooking Gerakas beach. Breathless views!

Petros was very helpful ensuring a pleasant stay.

We spent some days on our private beach swimming and in our rafts.

A very relaxing vacation and we met some wonderful families running the nearby restaurants.

Make sure you bring good shoes for hiking and walking on rocks if you like to walk far along the beach.

The kitchen is fully equipped.

Bring bug spray, if you like to keep some windows open during the day, so you can spray before nightime.

Try the Gerakas restaurant Taverna by the alley next to the Turtle museum. The homemade apricot jam is delicious.

wow from the first moment

We spent an outstanding Holiday in Petros magnificent Villa. After collecting us 7 adult persons together with his friend in a second car Petros used the 15 km drive to the south Peak of the Island to give us a lot of Information about the Island, the sites, the Restaurants, the beaches. When we arrived at his Family Villa (built and former used by his parents) we found an amazing big, nice Villa, not quite new but very clean and thoroughly kept in order, full of character and well equipped.

Not only three teraces with tables chairs and umbrellas and some more shady spaces with stone benches and little tables round the house; not only the huge separate Barbecue area but also the property itself was completely amazing. A big Meadow lying between our breakfeast terace and the sea. The whole property is a well made garden with grown up bushes and trees and a lot of really nice flowers. Including some Fruit trees proving daily fresh apricots and figs for us. and the best: you always see the ocean right in front of you, leave the garden, cross the street (less than ten cars per day) and enter the private beach of the Villa shown in the Picture above.

A few Little supermarkets and nice Restaurants with very good genuine meals and reasonable Prices are only a short nice walk away. For bigger Shoppings you should use a car or the help of Petros or his housekeeper Lumba, which we did. Thank you again for that Service which is included like all the other stuff (umbrellas, balls frisbee, Swimming noodles, beach chair...........) We rented a car to explore the Island and making a boat tour from Laganas which was a very good idea (Petros gave us the contacts; the car was brought and collected at the villa).

What we liked best was the perfect prepared private beach with a few rock stairs to the water (You should use bathing shoes), perfect for snorkeling, warm clear water.

We thank Petros and his Team and can only recommend his property for all Groups (I think up to 8 persons in separate sleeping romms but maybe more sure possible because the house is really big). We will sure come back.

May half term

  • 5 of 5

We had a really enjoyable week long holiday in Petros' family villa in Zante. The location was great - walking distance to a lovely unspoilt beach sandy, 4 or 5 tavernas, a café/bakery and local grocery store. We drove round the island a bit in the first few days, but as the week went on, we ended up hardly using the car, spending lazy days at the beach and in the restaurants, which was great. Weather was perfect for most of the week, and the sea definitely warm enough to swim in.

The house was great. It has the feel of a family holiday home, with all the charms that brings (games in all the cupboards, nick knacks round the house), rather than a purpose built rental property. For those after luxury, it doesn't have lots of high spec en suites, or a pool, but it suited us very well. We loved the garden - the flowers, the outdoor kitchen with BBQ & pizza oven, and fresh eggs & apricots delivered each morning by Luba. Luba the cleaner was around most mornings to discretely tidy up some of our mess and Petros was very helpful in collecting us from the airport and giving advice on the island. Overall, a lovely holiday. Many thanks

Beautiful, peaceful villa in wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with another family, and there were 8 of us in total. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful villa, despite it being out of season. The villa was clean and had everything we needed and Petros was really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We also had daily housekeeping, which was lovely. The villa is set in wonderful gardens which are floodlit at night and is so peaceful and tranquil. The only unfortunate thing was that the restaurants in the area were all closed as the season had ended, and all the boat tours had also finished. We were very late in October though and we believe we only missed everything by a week. We still enjoyed ourselves and swam every day in the warm sea. The private beach was great for snorkelling. We would also recommend Hanna Mi's nearby ceramic studio where we spent an enjoyable morning making our own works of art. Although we had a couple of rainy days, we still had lots of sun, and even though there were some amazing thunder storms, these were not always accompanied by rain and seemed to pass very quickly. We enjoyed delicious food in Zakynthos town and there were also some tavernas open around the island. Our week went too quickly, and we would love to return. Thank you for a great stay Petros! Magnificent Villa with top service!

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed with my family in this magnificent villa in the beginning of October 2014. The villa is situated on a large piece of land near the coast. The beautiful garden gave our children more then enough room to play in.

The Villa is well build, large, and very clean. The housekeeping does a wonderful job. The villa (and Petros the manager) made us feel home right away. And the location near the beautiful Turtle beach is perfect. We spent many hours on this large, sandy beach. Which was ideal for our small children. The Taverns near the beach serve for a decent price some nice traditional Greek food of high quality.

The island itself is very nice to drive around. It is very green and there are enough points of interest to go to by car. The local people are very friendly and helpfull.

I want to say a special thank you to the home-owner/manager Petros. The level of service that Petros is providing to his guests is exceptionaly high. Petros will try and help you in any way he can (picking you up from the airport, doing daily groceries if needed, showing wich taverns to eat, where to go, etc. etc.).

I would sencerly recommand this Villa to my friends and family. We have had a magnificent week at this beautiful Villa and we are sure that we will come back an other year.

As excellent as expected......

  • 5 of 5

This Villa was exactly as described. The 10 acres were primed with vegetables and fruit for our consumption, they were delicious. The ocean was at the end of the driveway! This Villa had seclusion and yet close by to excellent beaches for the children and adults alike. Our host for our visit, Petros, was always available for any enquiries we had, that, in itself, is priceless. I would recommend a car, given the location of the villa, however that is just for transportation to additional beaches and restaurants, not for provisions necessarily. The accomodation easily dealt with our family of 8 which included Grandparents and children as young as 6. We didnt use the TV/Satellite as Wifi was available. One item of note, the patio encircles the property, which means at any time of the day you can find some shade or some sun, depending on your preference. I can not fault the description of this Villa in any way. Perfect for our family and our needs. Restaurants:

Porto Roma was a delight (expensive given local prices), fresh fish the delicacy.

The Windmill quenched our thirst for spit-roast Lamb and Pork.

For the more adventurous days we went to St Nicolaus bay and enjoyed the watersports.

Gerakas bay for a relaxed sea lapping swim in the sun, ideal for younger families.

We used the car to transport to all venues.

Salut Petros, thank you for your time and understanding during our stay. Memories to remember

About the Island

Zakynthos, sometimes referred as Zante, is the third largest of the Ionian Islands covering an area of 410 km2 and has a coastline of 123 km in length. The Island lies in the eastern part of the Ionian Sea, around 20 km west of the Greek mainland and 15 km south of Cephalonia.

Named after Zakynthos, the son of a legendary Arcadian chief Dardanus, the island’s multicultural history goes back in ancient era as Homer describes its dense forests in Odyssey. Throughout time many civilizations ruled it from the ancient Greeks and Romans to the Byzantines, Venetians, Russians, French and English. Zakynthos’ nickname “Fiore di Levante” (flower of the East) is attributed to the Venetians whose cultural influence was considerable. In 1864 the island was united with Greece.

In modern days the island has developed a thriving tourism industry. The majestic sandy beach of Gerakas and Marathonisi islet which consist birthplace for the rare species of Sea turtle Caretta – Caretta. The famous Shipwreck beach, one of the finest in the world, along with the unique blue caves are just some of the main reasons why visiting Zakynthos will be an experience you’ll never forget.

There is no doubt that this “paradise on earth” endowed with breathtaking nature and unique character will amaze and seduce you
