7 adults spent a fantastic Easter weekend here. The house is on a hill up several steps giving it fantastic views over the town which looks lovely at night with all the twinkling lights. The large kitchen is fully equipped with a massive range type cooker and large fridge freezer plus plenty of crockery and cutlery etc. A few more chopping boards and small knives would have been useful as we had vegetarians and vegans as well as meat eaters so needed to keep foods separate during preparation. But we were probably unusual in that! Some trivets to protect the work surfaces would be useful too. Plenty of room for adults to cook together. We didn’t eat out at all. The artisan food basket was wonderful complete with hot cross buns as we arrived on Good Friday! The bedrooms all had high quality linen and plenty of bathrooms with lovely fluffy towels. Everything appeared to be brand new! Even the dog had its own room! There were 2 sitting rooms but we only used one but I guess if you had kids then that would be useful. A lovely outside paved garden- patio furniture would have been nice but there were walls to sit on. It could be we were too early in the season and the hot bank holiday was a surprise.
The position of the house was great as we could walk into town but we could also start our hill walks straight from the door. We didn’t have to use our cars at all. An added bonus was the electric car charging point in the parking bay which our friend with an electric car was able to utilise. There was also plenty of free street parking for other cars. Lots of thought and detail has gone into the planning of this house to make it an ideal holiday home. We spent a long weekend but would be fantastic for a week or two
