Why Georgia Androutsopoulou chose Kefalonia (Cephalonia)

Stepping inside, the rafters of the high ceilings in the large open plan living space create a cool, relaxing environment perfectly complementing the stylish, rustic décor. Open the French windows that lead onto the raised terrace and garden, relax on the comfortable sofas and enjoy mesmerizing views of the glittering Ionian Sea immediately ahead.

What makes this villa unique

Nemus is fringed by tastefully preserved ruins and verdant forests in a quintessentially rural setting yet at the same time is only 500m from village amenities, 2.5km from the beach and 4km from the many excellent restaurants of Fiscardo harbour.

Mini-markets and local tavernas at Maganos village are just 300m away and Dafnoudi, a secluded pebble beach with an enticing cave at the bottom of a steep natural valley is only 2.5km. Excellent for snorkelling, the translucent waters of Emblisi Beach are 2.5km and Agia Jerusalem with a charming waterside taverna is 7km.

Absolute perfection from beginning to end!!

  • 5 of 5

Villa Nemus is magnificent! Upon our arrival we were greeted by Claire and Nick who were just lovely!!! The villa could not have been more perfect! From the location, the views, the attention to every little detail. A special mention to the amazing breakfasts made from Claire and the delicious organic vegetables; we really found heaven on earth..

I have very high standards with where I stay and Villa Nemus definitely did not disappoint!!

Beautiful, relaxing and friendly

  • 5 of 5

Two adults and one child stayed in the beautiful villa for two weeks in August. We had a wonderful time. The things we loved about the villa: the second to none hospitality and kindness of the family; the amazing and uninterrupted views out to sea; stepping out of the villa into the pool; watching the sun go down and the lights of the pool come on; all the amazing food (that pasta sauce!) the extensive gardens and clean and charming interior, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The part of Kefalonia the villa is in in stunning and we had a fantastic time exploring coves, hiring boats and finding our favourite places to eat. The thing that sets the villa apart is the genuine warmth and hospitality of the owners which made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we made an enquiry onwards and staying in a place with such character in a beautiful setting. We are sure everyone who wants to stay somewhere with a real heart and soul would love it. It really is as described by other reviewers and the owners and we would recommend it without hesitation as one of the best places we've stayed.

Villa Nemo - a Kefalonian Paradies

  • 5 of 5

Nemus Villa is a perfect place - beautiful restored in a amazing surroundings, with privacy and lot of space in- and outside. The sunsets beside the private pool are unforgettable, like the daily organic wunderful breakfast made by Claire and Nick, our wonderful hosts.

The house is very clean, housekeeping comes twice a week.

Little white beaches, trails, Fiscardo - the little lively harbour village, authentic restaurants, small villages, boat rentals, it's all only few kilometers away.

We couldn' wish more. We really can recommend Villa Nemo and hope to come back.

Rare find!

  • 5 of 5

The villa is the best villa we have ever stayed in and the location is amazing! It is perfect for a romantic holiday with a lovely garden, romantic ruins, a hammock, and lots of comfy corners to relax in the sun or shade. The villa has been restored to a very high standard and is beautifully decorated and furnished with everything you need. Evenings spent by the pool watching the sun set over the sea are unforgettable.

Georgia, Claire and Nik are wonderful hosts and we've never felt so welcome in a place - from the warm welcome when we arrived to Nik's tour of the local beaches, the delivery of home-cooked pie one evening, organic salad from the garden, and home-made pasta sauce (delicious!) and and and.....

Nik and Claire made us feel like nothing was too much trouble and we were well and truly spoilt. This villa is a rare find - once you have been there I suspect you will want to go back. We certainly do!

The perfect location for your dream vacation

  • 5 of 5

When you are sad to leave the place you chose for your summer vacations, it means the place you stayed at was truly amazing.I would add, unforgettable.

Professional owners, who make your stay comfortable, personal, unique. The owners put love in Villa Nemus, and you feel this from the moment you arrive.

Fiskardo is a wonderful location, and Kefalonia is a dream island full of surprises. A must visit for "sea lovers".

Villa Nemus is a perfect hideaway for couples, with an amazing view of the sea (and the sunsets!), romantic in all. Very near to Fiskardo and to so many wonderful beaches!

The overall experience in Villa Nemus was outstanding (and we have traveled in many locations in the world to say this).

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This villa is just as beautiful as it looks in the photos, indeed the minute you open the gate and see it your cares just melt away. When you open your shutters in the morning you have an unobstructed vista of the sparkling sea and, with a perfect view of the magnificent sunset from almost anywhere you are - pool, house, garden - and a very well equipped kitchen to rustle up a sundowner, the day is perfect from beginning to end. Claire and Nick, who manage the property, are lovely people and very generous with the produce from their organic garden; they often popped in with an exquisite Greek dish Claire had cooked for us to enjoy – which we certainly did! Georgia is very helpful and makes the booking process simple and efficient. The kind and generous spirit of this family is reflected in the care given to both the villa and guests. When you add all this to the lovely bathroom, comfortable bed and gorgeous garden set in an exquisite environment, what more could you ask for? You really do have everything here – beautiful accommodation, tranquil setting, traditional village within walking distance, tavernas on the beach a short drive away and Fiscardo nearby. I highly recommend a stay here.

Kefalonia is the island of 'contrasts' and one of the most picturesque and popular island of Greece. Kefalonia is known for its wonderful beaches with the turquoise waters and the impressive surroundings. At just 4km from the villa the picturesque port of Fiscardo is located. Fiscardo, according to the tradition, took it's name from the pirate Robert Guiscard who conquered the village in the 11th century. It is acclaimed as the only village on Kefalonia that escaped the ravages of the 1953 earthquake. It still maintains the traditional architecture of the Ionian islands and has been declared as a protected village. The port of Fiscardo connects with the port of Ithaca and Lefkada.

Fiscardo is considered as a cosmopolitan tourist destination.
