House Ficula Vell is only 20m from the sea with very easy access to the sea

The house is ideal for up to 2 families willing to share holidays while keeping enough intimacy, and those appreciating tranquillity, snorkelling, diving, fishing or walking. Small supermarket, restaurants as well as the wonderful sandy beach of Arenal d'en Castell are only few minute walk from the house.

The house is made of 2 adjacent houses (Ficula A and B) connected through the external terraces and an internal patio with access to the upper terrace. The 2 houses are offered as a single unit. House Ficula A has 3 double bedrooms, each with panoramic sea views and 2 bathrooms. House Ficula B has 2 double bedrooms with one full bathroom. The kitchens are open to the dining-living rooms which give access to the terrace, private swimming pool and garden through large French door-windows.

Also up to 6 people, only Ficula Vell A is proposed and Ficula Vell B is not rented to preserve intimacy of the guests. Groups of 6 or less people willing to use Ficula Vell A and Ficula Vell B will be charged a supplement of 300 euros/week.

About Robert Rolives

I fell in love with Menorca when I discovered the island in the 80's. I bought a land very close to the sea and built this house that I refurbished in 2013, to add a swimming pool, a new kitchen, air conditioning but keeping the charm of a typical Menorcan chalet.

A house on the waterfront to hear the noise of the sea and enjoy one of the best panoramic sea views in Menorca, all with great tranquillity! A very nice coast path will lead you directly from the house to the village of Macaret and another coast path will lead you to the beaches of Arenal d'en Castell and Son Saura. For those enjoying diving or snorkelling, the cala in front of the house offers spectacular seabeds with amazing fauna and flora.

Amazing location and pool

We are a family of 4 with kids ages 11 and 13. We stayed in September and had the most amazing time in Menorca and at this villa. It would be hard to beat the location as it's right on the sea. We all loved the pool. We had the most amazing snorkelling experience right below the villa. The WiFi and Internet worked well too. The only improvement I could suggest was on the furniture side of things-it was a bit sparse and could have been a bit more high end. Also, there were a couple of maintenance issues that needed to be sorted out (mainly the pool lights not working). Overall, though, it was one of the best places in terms of location that we have ever stayed in and would highly recommend it.

perfect!

Ficula Vell A is a well conceived house, with nice common spaces and rooms which allow for some intimacy. Confortable beds. Good wifi access. Kitchen well equipped. Lovely terrasse on the roof. Impeccably clean. It is also very quiet and a great place to come back to after visiting Menorca.

The island is rather small and every place can easily be reached from the house. Off season, we really enjoyed Fornells.

Everything is well organized, and the owner is very helpful.

The view is spectacular - when we stayed there, we were lucky to see an incredible full moon rise above the sea. The cove is easily accessible, and wind allowing, snorkeling is quite good, lots of fish and colorfull alguae. The pool is really good too even if we didn't get to use it much (this year, end of october, the water was rather chilly).

Recommended any time!

Just perfect and unique ...

We (a family of 4) had just an unbelievable good time in this amazing house with its spectacular view over the sea ... Just perfect and unique - house and location!

This house shows a very high quality of living, very much higher than the standard normally seen in houses which are for rent ... The pool with lots of space around it is just a dream and we loved to live there all the day, feeling the nice breeze of the sea, bathing in the warm water and enjoying to do nothing but living ....

The rock just in the middle of the bay is a good and also famous spot for diving. Like a Swiss cheese, it owns a lot of holes and channels. The access to the rocky access to the sea can be done over a path. A sandy beach - suitable for little children - is in walking distance, not far away.

The owner is very reliable, friendly and sympathetic. He really knows what is to do - so for the customers like us it was just easy going ...! A local house manager is on demand, just in case ...

We strongly recommend this unique house on its spectacular location! Just AAA!

Amazing house in an amazing location

Spectacular location and spectacular house in Menorca! With my wife, we are just coming back from holidays in Menorca and we are already thinking of booking next holidays in Ficula House. We will not forget the swimming pool with its solarium overlooking the sea: it is fabulous! The access to the sea is also very easy and you feel as if the sea and the coast in front of the house belongs to you! Also we did appreciate the tranquillity of the area and its proximity to a supermarket and to the sandy beach of Arenal d’en Castell. We recommend strongly this house.

Ferien at its best!

Wir haben zwei fantastische Wochen auf Menorca verbracht! Das Haus ist sensationell und hat uns enorm gefallen. Die Lage ist nicht zu überbieten: mit Meeresrauschen einschlafen und bei Meeresrauschen aufwachen! Zudem jeden Morgen zuerst einen wunderschönen Sonnenaufgang und im Anschluss das Frühstück auf der Terrasse geniessen! Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Pool wurde in den zwei Wochen zwei Mal gereinigt und auch das Haus wurde einmal gereinigt und mit frischer Bettwäsche und frischen Handtüchern bestückt. Der Schnorchel- und Tauchgrund beim Haus ist wirklich genial; allerdings für Kinder wenig geeignet, da der Einstieg über glitschige Felsen führt und nirgends eine Plattform zum sicher Stehen bietet. Der wenige Meter entfernte Strand von Arena d'en Castell erfordert eine gewisse Zuneigung zum Massentourismus. Leider wurde der Strand mit zwei schrecklichen Hotelbauten verunstaltet. Obwohl wir in der Nebensaison da waren und entsprechend wenig Touristen da waren, haben wir uns nie an diesen Strand begeben. Die Lage des Hauses ist aber dermassen genial, dass man praktisch alle kleinen, wunderschönen Buchten von Menorca in max. 45 Minuten mit dem Auto und teilweise mit kleineren Fussmärschen erreicht. Allen voran die traumhafte Cala Pregonda, welche mit einer Fahrzeit von 20 Minuten und einem wunderschönen Spaziergang von nochmals ca. 25 Minuten erreicht werden kann.

House Ficula Vell is ideally located at only 20m from the sea with very easy access to the sea. The house has panoramic views to the sea, the coast and a protected country landscape. It is ideal for those appreciating tranquility, snorkeling, diving, fishing, biking or walking. It is very close to the Cami d'es Cavalls, the historical path surrounding the island by the coast. The house is only 5mn walk to the sandy beach of Arenal d'es Castell, 10mn car to the golf course of Son Parc, 5mn car to the natural port of Addaia where boats can be rented, 10mn car to the Faro de Favaritx and its beautiful beaches, 10mn car to the port of Fornells, 10mn to the picturesque city of Alaior, 20mn to the town of Mahon and 30mn to the town of Ciutadella.

Normally, the house is rented from Saturday to Saturday. The price includes change of home towel and bed linen at end of each week, cleaning at arrival and upon departure, garden and swimming pool maintenance and utilities. Additional cleaning can be organised with the House Manager. Rates are for a party of up to 4 people. For additional people above 4,140 euro/week should be added to the rates. Also up to 6 people, only Ficula Vell A is proposed within the above tariff and Ficula Vell B is not rented to preserve intimacy of the guests.. Groups of 6 or less people willing to use Ficula Vell A and Ficula Vell B will be charged a supplement of 300 euros/week.
