Why Jeffrey Williamson chose Historic District
This property is very nice because of it's location on Mulberry Street in the historic district of Lewes and it's close walking proximity to the downtown business streets as well as the Lewes Rehoboth Canal.
What makes this Condo unique
Mulberry in Lewes is unique because it is a first floor condominium (only three steps to enter). It has high ceilings with large spacious rooms. You will not feel claustrophobic or cramped. It's proximity to town and many activities is of course a huge asset. It has been in my family for twenty years, as it is the place my parents chose to retire.

The location of this condo was perfect. We walked to great restaurants, shopping, farmer’s market as well as the craft show that was in town. Beautifully furnished. Appreciated the fresh bread and bagels provided as well as the juice, yogurt and fresh fruit. Highly recommend this condo.
Beautiful home with lovely welcoming experience.
Lovely home that is beautifully appointed. Well stocked with everything we needed from beach towels, to beach chairs to lovely toiletries and bowls of fruit. We fully enjoyed our stay.
Clean, welcoming, well-appointed, perfect location.
Perfect get-a-way spot to enjoy Lewes, DE. The property owner made us feel welcomed upon arrival. The home had everything we needed to have a relaxing stay.
Excellent location and spacious apartment
We were a family of six adults visiting Lewes for a family wedding. We stayed in the historic district in a converted church for six nights. We were welcomed by the owner with provisions of fresh fruit, juice, bagels, coffee, sodas, etc. The apartment is spacious, well appointed and located in a quiet residential neighborhood. It’s a short walk to good restaurants and unique shops in Lewes and within a ten minute drive to Lewes Beach with ample metered parking. Beach towels and chairs are provided for convenience.
I recommend attention to cleaning because on the day we arrived I discovered the kitchen floor tiles were filthy. I spilled water next to the refrigerator and immediately wiped the area with a wad of white paper towels and was disgusted with the black dirt I removed from the kitchen floor. The floor had not been washed between occupants. This is unacceptable since a cleaning fee is imposed on all guests who rent property with VRBO.
We regret that our two visitors from Ireland occupied the bedroom with a side door. During the first night they woke with large bites/welts from mosquitoes. We bought cans of repellant and sprayed the bedroom heavily before bedtime but they woke subsequent nights with more welts/bites. The apartment is on the ground floor and while the outdoor garden access is pretty, it’s shaded by trees and shrubs so that during the summer season of high humidity it’s a perfect habitat for mosquitoes. We conclude that mosquitoes entered through slits/openings in the door and/or windows. Fortunately, there was a 4th twin bedroom we were not using and for their last two nights they moved and slept there and were not bitten. We enjoyed our visit to Lewes but we will not return in summertime.
Yes, there are mosquitoes on the Mid Atlantic seaboard in the summer time. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in Lewes but I would simply like to point out two things. Since early last summer (2017), we have passed 198 adults, 49 children, and at least 5 infants through this unit. We have not previously received one single comment or complaint about mosquitoes. The eleven operating windows are all tightly screened, ( I made the screens myself). The two entry doors are also screened. The only way mosquitoes can enter the unit I believe is through an open door either when guests are moving luggage in or when they are entering and exiting the unit. It is unfortunate that one or more mosquitoes got into the unit during your stay. It is also rare.
Regarding the floors, the entire floor, (all 2500 square feet of it) is cleaned after each departing guest. The kitchen floor is vacuumed and if time allows between departing and arriving guests, it is then mopped. Perhaps it was not mopped before your arrival, or perhaps a spot was missed near the refrigerator. I apologize for any oversight on the floor.
Thank you for your constructive criticism.
Convenient and roomy
Walking distance to many downtown shops, attractions, and restaurants. Host had stocked the apartment with fresh fruit, breads, bagels, coffee. The well stocked kitchen reduced the need for major grocery shopping. There were 7 of us (2 couples, 2 young children, and a single. The space was extremely comfortable. Beach towels, beach chairs and interesting books on the area were available. There is a washer an dryer. Off street parking was available for two cars.
Beautiful and comfortable
I would definitely seek to stay here again, if I were vacationing in Lewes. Thanks, Jeff!
