Another Jackie Hobbs quality apartment. This well-furnished apartment is on the 4th floor of Watergardens giving superb views across Ocean Village towards Spain. There is a well-equipped kitchen containing a washer/dryer, oven, microwave, food mixer, sandwich maker, cafetiere, tea infuser and toaster plus sufficient cutlery and crockery for six. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and the second bedroom is opposite the family bathroom. There are two lifts to all floors in this block and a security door entry intercom system. There is free Wifi. THIS APARTMENT IS RECOMMENDED BY THE GIBRALTAR TOURIST BOARD.

A Gibraltar representative is joining Jackie's team from May 2012 to visit clients, organise trips if required and be on hand for any problems.

Excellent accommodation and location

The apartment was really well located... close to the airport, the main street, the ocean village, the quay side, bars and restaurants. Even the rock is a very short walk away. The apartment was very clean, very nicely furnished and was in perfect condition when we arrived. All the towels and linen were also immaculately clean. The views from the apartment over the ocean village towards the airport were lovely. its very secure and we felt very safe and at home there. We were in Gibraltar for our wedding and Jackie, the owner, was very kind and helpful and the apartment was perfect for us and our two children (9 and 11) Gibraltar is small but great fun and we enjoyed great weather, great food and a great wedding over the 5 days we were there. People are extremely friendly and helpful and we would not hesitate to go back.

Outstanding apartment on 'The Rock'

We had a very enjoyable week on 'The Rock' staying at Jackie's apartment. The apartment was furnished to a very high standard and had great views over the Ocean Marina towards Spain. Full UK TV and numerous other channels were available. The apartment is located not far from Morrison's supermarket, Grand Casemates Square and the bus terminus. A day hopper ticket is probably the cheapest way to explore the peninsular but be aware the 5 and 10 routes are operated by a different company. Limited night buses run after 9pm but taxis are available. Plenty of places to eat locally including numerous restaurants in Grand Casemates Square. Main Street is a must for both shops and numerous tourist attractions. For the physically fit a cheaper and healthier alternative to the cable car to the top of 'The Rock' is available. Take the number 1 bus from the bus terminus to the Will's Road terminus and walk up to the Moorish Castle. At the castle the road is blocked and for 50p you can continue up the steep road to the summit. At an extra cost you can make a day of it by visiting numerous military (mostly tunnels) and other attractions along the way. Or, for £100 you can be driven up to the summit, visit the attractions and make a circular tour of the peninsular. Most of this can be done by bus, or above the Moorish Castle on foot or by Cable Car (number 2 bus from the terminus).

Perfect location

This review is based on a family of 4 (2 kids 10 and 5). Place is well presented, clean, comfortable and spacious. The TV has Sky sports and Sky Movies which many hotels do not even have. Location is great for convenience stores (1 minute), take away food shops or more higher spec quality restaurants in the stunning Ocean village 2-4 minutes walk away. The main bus station is a very short walk at the end of the road as is the local swimming pool. Views to Spain, the modern harbour and the runway are sublime. Though there is no air con the ceiling fans are giant sized and cool a room very quickly. The tiled floor adds to the coolness on a hot day. This place is excellent value for money and a great base to explore and spend a holiday in Gibraltar.

Great

This was our 10th visit to Gibraltar and this by far the best place we have stayed. The apartment was right in the middle of every thing and yet very quiet. the apartment has everything you could need and everything worked, would certainly recommend this to anyone.

This 4th floor apartment in Watergardens is traditionally furnished with wonderful views out of all windows. It overlooks the Ocean Village complex with all its bars and restaurants and is close to Main Street and the duty free shops. There is a market closeby selling meat and vegetables which is open each morning. Buses leave from outside Market Place to all over Gibraltar, taking you to the lovely beaches of Eastern Beach and Catalan Bay.

There is a non-refundable 10% deposit to pay to secure the rental. The balance is due six weeks in advance of the holiday to include a refundable £50 bond in case of lost keys, breakages etc. The bond is returned on receipt of the keys to Jackie Hobbs.

There are no extra charges to these amounts. The rental rate includes, electricity, water, cleaning, linen, and Wifi.

10% to secure the booking and the balance and refundable bond is required six weeks in advance. Bond is returned on receipt of the keys to Jackie Hobbs
