Hello I'm Helen, I deal with all enquiries and I keep the Boathouse to a high standard. I am continually tweeking the property to make sure your stay is comfortable and memorable.

Moved to the Lake District in 1989 from Lincolnshire and I still marvel at the views. I enjoy being outside and make use of the lake and mountains.

Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Walkers Boathouse truly is luxurious in every way. The views from the lounge balcony are stunning. Sadly it wasn't warm enough for us to sit out with a glass of wine!

Facilities and cleanliness are of a very high standard. The welcome pack is a nice touch too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely return.

Loved it!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 3 nights in February for our Wedding, there were 4 adults and 2 children. Well what can I say about this accommodation that has not already been said. It definitely has the WOW factor, not just for the location but for the décor and facilities. Helen (the Owner) could not do enough for us, she even left us a lovely wedding present and card on arrival, very thoughtful. We will definitely return and will highly recommend it to our family and friends.

Thanks again Helen xx

Wonderful !!!!

  • 5 of 5

Wow, this is the best short stay we have been on. The boat house really is 5 star accommodation in a wonderful place, what a position and view from our balcony !!!

The boat house is kept to an extremely high standard with absolutely everything you would need and more. We had a very nice hamper left for us on arrival which is a great touch from a brilliant host Helen. She was there for anything we required and gave excellent customer service !

All in all an amazing stay for us and the kids and we love the place, we will be back soon and if you are thinking of booking I would definitely do it, you will not be disappointed !!!

Regards

John and Lisa

Perfect in every way!

  • 5 of 5

The Lakehouse is one of the best rental properties we have ever stayed in. Beautifully and lovingly refurbished the accommodation is modern, stylish and has everything you need for your stay. A real home away from home complete with a great selection of cookery books and a top of the range cooker if your feeling adventurous. Open plan/single floor living at its best with three large well set out bedrooms, two great bathrooms (one en-suite) with power showers and lovely living area all done to the highest standard - just perfect.

The location is great with a stunning view up the Lake. We were there during Storm Clodagh which only added to the drama watching the storm rage outside whilst comfy and warm inside.

It is a 15/20 minutes stroll down in to the town where you can enjoy all that Bowness has to offer - great restaurants and some quirky shops.

We cant wait to go back and enjoy all over again!

Magnificent house.

  • 5 of 5

The house is approached by what is essentially the back door. A very classy backdoor mind that opens onto a corridor off which are the bedrooms and general bathroom. It is beautifully appointed and warm and modern. As you get to the end of the corridor you open the door into a very large open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room all of which you ignore because the other side of the room is mainly windows and glass doors out onto the balcony which has the most lovely proximity to the lake, it overhangs moorings and water and looks across the lake to Claiffe heights. magnificent view absorbed you turn indoors and find an ultra modern kitchen, ample white leather sofas and spacious dining area with comfortable chairs and table. multiple lighting options allow for manipulation of the ambience of the room. Extremely comfortable, very well equipped with pots/pans etc. Central heating that works is an extra bonus.

Everything was spotlessly clean, properly maintained (everything worked!) and there was a very nice welcome pack for us.

On day three of our stay my adult daughter said " we have been here three days, and I have tried, but I cannot find a flaw with this house".

We have stayed in many rentals over the years in various holiday spots and none have been better than Walkers Boathouse.

Peaceful location with lots to see or do

  • 5 of 5

Three generations of us from a 3 year old upwards stayed for October half term. The Boathouse was immaculate on arrival with lots of little touches-wine, fresh flowers, maps and guide books as well as night-lights for the youngest visitor.Everything had been thought of with a useful welcome 'hamper' and the view was beautiful with plenty to see from the lounge or large balcony (which is much bigger than it looks on the pictures). Lots of walks in the area but we chose not to do these this time with a young child. We had a super time at the zoo in Dalton in Furness, a pre booked lunch with Peter Rabbit followed by a visit to the exhibition, boat trip on the lake to the aquarium and a lovely drive to and then ride on the Ravenglass and Eskdale railway. We booked our shopping through Asda which arrived without any issues.I contacted Helen before our holiday with a couple of questions which were answered promptly.Probably the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in.

A stunning Boat House on the shores of Lake Windermere with amazing views of the Lake and Mountains.

Walkers Boat House offers a truly unique experience. Having a balcony the full width of the building where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine while watching boats travelling up and down the Lake.

This property offers exceptional location and wow factor views.

Dating back to the late 19th Century and used to store masts and sails and to also build boats. It has been totally refurbished with stylish and contemporary décor and has wooden beams through out.

Inside is an open plan lounge, dining area and a fully fitted kitchen. A hall way leads to 3 bedrooms, 2 doubles with King sized beds one with En-suite bathroom. 1 twin bedded room along with a Family bathroom with overhead shower each bathroom has underfloor heating.

There is private parking for 2 vehicles. And a walk way leading to the Lake.

Very well situated for all activities in easy walking distance to Bowness on Windermere, where you will find Beatrix Potter's Attraction, the Glebe where you can catch a Steamer to tour the Lake or hire a rowing boat. There is a good selection of shops and cafes.

Blackwell House is close by along with lots of amazing walks and cycling routes, sailing activities too with a golf course within 2 miles.
