Hello I'm Helen, I deal with all enquiries and I keep the Boathouse to a high standard. I am continually tweeking the property to make sure your stay is comfortable and memorable.
Moved to the Lake District in 1989 from Lincolnshire and I still marvel at the views. I enjoy being outside and make use of the lake and mountains.
Arriving late at night, we didn't know what the view would be like, all we can say is
'WOW'! Beautiful views.
Wonderful accommodation and location, crisp windy weather - perfect.
We would definitely love to return
Walkers Boat House was perfect for our stay of four adults and two children. The location is fantastic - near enough (5 mins in the car) to Bowness on Windermere for easy access to restaurants and shopping - but far enough away to escape the busy hubbub of it all. It's also perfectly located for easy access via the ferry to the west side of the lake. Although most of the drinking/dining is in Bowness - there is a local pub/restaurant The Boathouse which is fine for a drink or bite to eat.
The accommodation itself was spotless, well considered and catered for everything. There's no need to buy basic provisions of bread, coffee, tea, butter, milk, sugar and eggs, as they were all there waiting for us. There was good local information in the form of maps and guides, plenty of games should the weather prevent outdoor activities and the TV was smart so you can connect up to Netflix etc if you have an account.
We couldn't fault it and i'm sure we will be back.
This was our second visit and it was even better than our first because we had beautiful weather so we could make use of the balcony, soaking up the sun and we enjoyed the amazing view. Everything was perfect inside as well, very well equipped to a high standard and spotless. Thanks again Helen, hope to you return soon. Wendy
Excellent standard of accommodation on the lake side, very spacious for 5 adults in our party, welcome pack a nice touch, easy key pick up arrangements....... Our 2nd stay & will hopefully stay again.
We loved the location of the Boathouse, the view from the balcony is amazing rain or shine! No detail is overlooked by the owner resulting in a very comfortable stay. We stayed with a toddler and newborn so it all being on 1 level was brilliant. The house is well equipped making it feel like a real home from home. We would definitely come back and would reccomend to friends
