A lovely spacious house in Chiswick sleeping 8/9 people comfortably. A large kitchen / diner with a table seating up to 10 people, with double patio doors leading out to a 30ft decked and patio garden. The garden is west facing, sunny and sheltered. Sitting room has a 40' flat screen TV with sky channels + DVD and Wifi. There is a downstairs wc. The master double bedroom is very large, has a king size bed, a walk in wardrobe as well as a large ensuite bathroom with bath/shower, wc and 2 basins. Another double bedded ( Queen size bed ) room at the top of the house with a shower room with wc next door. There are two other bedooms that both have a large single bed, and are large enough to have another rollaway mattress / futon (which are supplied). Also another walk in shower room with wc.
The house could not be better located. Central London is very easy to get to with Stamford Brook underground station, only 100 metres away, and taking only 30mins to get to Picadillly. It is 5 min walk to Chiswick High street which is full of trendy shops, cafes, and restaurants and 5mins walk to the River Thames.
Getting out of London is also easy from Chiswick with the M4, M3 and M40 motorways within very easy access.
We are an active family with twin boys aged 14. We are a social family and entertain regularly. Dad is a builder so the house is well maintained and regular improvements made yearly.
Sarah Robinson purchased this house in 2001
A perfect house for 2 families. The house is spacious and you will not feel on top of each other. It is perfect for cooking and eating all together in the large kitchen/ dining room. The house is in the very best location - only 50 metres from the tube station, and yet a 5 minute walk to the shops, cafes, river and local parks.
We were a group of 7 traveling together (5 adults and 2 teenagers). The home and location are excellent. We enjoyed the large and well equipped kitchen, and the fresh herbs in the backyard! The kitchen table was a great "planning area" to map out the days events. All the bedrooms fit us perfectly with a mattress on the floor in one of the rooms (I slept on it and it's not a blow up mattress, but a real mattress that was quite comfortable!). We enjoyed having a washing machine, but note there is no dryer; we didn't find it a problem though. The location is amazing - you'll love the street it sits on! Chiswick is such a great destination on its own - quaint shops and restaurants right around the corner. There's even a grocery store right down the road. The tube station is amazingly close and no, you can't hear trains going by from the house! The station is easy to navigate with the help of the attendant and in no time you're on your way to the sights of London. We enjoyed the Foosball table for a little friendly competition and loved having the backyard to retreat to on the nice summer evenings. Sarah has been great to work with... answering all our emailed questions and giving us guidance on transportation. We would highly recommend this home and would definitely stay here again. You won't be disappointed!
We stayed for a week in July 2015. There were 4 adults and 2 children. The house is lovely, there's lots of space and it's really well situated. Would definitely come and stay again.
Really nice and warm house in good quiet neighborhood in London. The underground is only one or maybe two minutes walking. Supermarket and shops around the corner. Great kitchen with all necessary equipment. Even a small garden which is really nice if you stay there in the summer. Four bedrooms, all on different floors which means a lot of privacy. We had very nice contact with the owner. Absolutely five stars!
We were a party of five including two children and my mother-in-law. The house fit all of our needs perfectly with enough privacy for us and my mother-in-law combined with a large kitchen spacious enough to host dinner on Christmas day. The house is also very well located in Chiswick and within walking distance of many stores and restaurants as well as the Tube. We would definitely recommend this home.
All of us agree that your house is very nice and comfortable and it is ideal for exploring the city.
The kitchen is well-equipped and it was a pity we didn't have the time to cook more often. We enjoyed having breakfast and making plans for the day at the large table.
Bedrooms and bathrooms are well-equipped and convenient, too.
The correspondence was very friendly and uncomplicated.
When we head for London again (maybe in a year or two), we will surely try to stay in this place again, if possible.
We had an unforgettable week in this spacious and well-appointed house, which provided not only all the basics and comforts we could wish for, but the feeling of being in a home from home. We were two grandparents with two grandchildren and their parents, and we all found everything we needed. As family life centred on the children we all appreciated the generous supply of games and DVDs, not to mention the table football. The house was comfortable and spacious and the neighbours friendly though not intrusive. We found the house ideally situated, with a tube station only two minutes away taking us quickly to central London, and plenty of shops, restaurants and services on the main road which was amazingly close considering what a haven of quietness the house is. Happy memories from this week will remain part of our family folklore for years to come.
