About Alain Doisy de Villargennes
Profile of the owners: This house was acquired in the 80s and as we really liked it, we completed it with a small apartment nearby that we rent as well. I remember the fishing outings with our uncle's boat, the Saint Tropez golf course and the Calanques of Cassis, swimming in the deserted coves or calanques unreachable through earth. His friends were telling him, with this Provencal accent and humour: 'Boy, with all the money you spend for fishing, we could bring you every morning beautiful sea breams, big sea urchins and many good stuff for your lunch and dinner, and you wouldn't be able to eat it all!'. He loved the good wine of the region, and there is some really good stuff! The south, tan on the beach, dream, roam, go to the Provencal market, and then cook a plate of bouillabaisse. An old friend was telling us about the fish we used to catch at the Palangrotte '...'. An aperitif of Pastis nicely concluded all of that... Some nice holidays. Here, Provence is like that, that is what I invite you to share by coming to our house, in this place preserved from the great summer migrations. Take care of it. Dear friends, welcome.

Why Alain Doisy de Villargennes chose Étretat
The house, well-conceived, rational, well-equipped and welcoming, sunny in the morning and in the afternoon over the garden side, with a large terrace to enjoy your meals on. The singing of the cicadas in the evening reminds you that you are on the French Riviera! The neighbours, retired, are discreet; there is not much traffic (we are at the end of a dead end and you can leave your car in the garage or on the parking always shaded). Then there is the Mediterranean sea, reachable without having to use your car, the forest, the mountain, the sun of the Midi, the change of scenery, all those perfumes of Provence: lavender, rosemary, heathers, flowers with petals producing the most famous essences and perfumes, the pine-woods with paths under the shade of the leafs, the seasonal fruits harvested when ripe, the fishing products, the signing and enchanting accent of the Midi. The history of the place, all those Roman remains at the foundations of our Latin culture. The Saint-Mandrier peninsula, and particularly the Pin Roland, has preserved its cosy Mediterranean character isolated from the bustle of the big coastal resorts of the Riviera. You will have plenty of activities; the choices are countless You will have plenty of activities; the choices are countless on site, and let's not forget the city of Toulon, inexhaustible and well organised.

Nice house in a great location.
Great location to stay in Etretat with a large group. It's really 2 houses, four bedrooms on the lower floor, kitchen, laundry, living room and dining room in middle floor. A separate 2 bedroom apartment in the upper floor with its own living room, laundry and kitchen.
House is a bit dated and in need of some deferred maintenance but it was perfect for us. The grounds are beautiful as is the location. The person in charge was very nice and accommodating. Having two complete and separate laundries was a luxury. It has 1 toilet per level, but 2 showers in the lower and one in the upper. The kitchen has a table for 6 and then there us the more formal dining room. Parking is provided for more than 1 car. Internet and a form of basic cable are provided. Also a pretty good tv in the living room. The upstairs tv does not work. We had a great time there and would return anytime. It's not perfect, but it's close!
Stayed with two families and did our own cooking and grilling. Kids and youngsters loved the garden and trampolines, everybody loved the very convenient access to the beach and nature.
The house is well built and in good shape with quick wifi and good kitchen. Plenty of space and a big table for everybody joining dinner. Grill and bicycle building, exclusive access - we loved it all the two weeks we were there.
The beaches of Etretat are the most beautiful all around, cycling is great too, you won‘t regret going there.
We all appreciate your encouragement for all our team.
we were pleased to welcome you.
See you soon again
